Scandinavians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison are highly regarded designers, textile artists and authors. They are best known for their craft books and their original, colourful and visually striking designs. Im confused now. I like knitting more, but father was an avid crocheter. He did some awesome work too. Like you two guys he was always looking for another great pattern. He loved doilies so much.

My crochet class fell through this summer so I'm glad I found you. You've just taught me Norwegian knitting (just needs practice) so I think I'll do well in this class. ( I think I prefer "starfish" to double or treble crochet :-)

I love the video. We are in our 3rd week of lockdown so I decided to learn to crochet. I can knit well including Estonian and Shetland lace patterns. But I never learnt to crochet. I can understand everything that is being said. Congratulations on your excellent English. My problem is once I make a chain where exactly do I make the next stitch? Is it through one of the circle chain stitches or through the centre of the circle.? It may help if in future beginners videos, the camera focuses on where the hook is going through the work.

Just FYI... crochet terms in Canadian English are the same as in American English. Thanks for your great tutorials!
We could learn the Norwegian words. It might be easier for all of us!
What is better holding your crochet as a pen or a pencil? My right hand thumb tends towards inflammation.
I am setting a goal to learn to crochet this year. Since I am a finger pointer when I knit, I’d like to start off learning how to hold the crochet yarn in a more relaxed way. Do any of Arne & Carlos’ videos show how to hold/tension the yarn? I’ve looked, but may have missed that lesson.

Suggestion? If you know how to do this....let Arnie say it in Norwegian and have printed on the screen double/ treble for other viewers? I would learn your language and translate in my brain eventually😄 and be so happy!
