- Sinatra sings to Juliet Prowse in Can-Can (1960) - It was Prowse's first movie role, and during the making of this movie, she and Sinatra had an affair which later led to their engagement. Later that year (1960), Juliet appeared with Elvis in GI Blues. She sure got around!

Juliet Prowse is the right girl for this part, as supporting role for the lead, Shirley MacClaine. Her beauty is so awesome any man could fall in love with. Have watched this scene for decades and still watching over and over. She and Feank's singing amazes me until today. Nice real-life lovebirds too.

i hate when people say this, its not that modern music doesnt have melody its that mainstream modern music doesnt, amateur artists are were its at, there are still jazz musicians, there are still orchestras and there are still great vocalists who dont sound like whimpering dogs lol
@@mitchelturner7793 mainstream modern music does have melody, organic instrumentation and jazz aspects. Even if it doesnt i think there is value in all art, melody doesn’t make something good or creative look at hip hop and rap, some of the most beautiful, poetic and socially aware literature is found in rap today
@@tajadhial4222 and rap is extremely melodic, my point applies to these formula 4 chord low effort pop songs that are written by corporate machines and invalidate themselves by being made with the intention of making money, ofc music is subjective but you can tell when a song was written with only money in mind
@@tajadhial4222 Regrettably, Rap and Hip Hop were both created by mostly Jewish record company executives to create a category of entertainment that would allow black performers who COULD NOT SING into the game. The same could be said for the lyrics of country music were nothing but an effort to include new marginally talented singers into an industry in order to sell records to listerners who were equally "marginally talented" in order to sell more and make more money from all aspects of the industry, concerts and touring, recordings, TV appearances, podcasts, merchandising, radio stations and their sponsorship etc. Rap, Hip-Hop and country are all efforts to create commerce, not art. This is why there is no form or discipline to the format of RAP, and you will often find the same rhythms and beat which are mechanically created with or without rhyming in Hip Hop and you will see performers like Taylor Swift achieving a level of fame and financial success without having a tune that will be remembered past a lifespan of 5 to 10 years. I giggle at the thought of a compilation of Taylor Swift's Greatest Hits when I don't know a single song she has song and in 10 years, neither will the general public. Dionne Warwick and Whitney Houston will be played into the next century and Taylor Swift will be forgotten tomorrow in terms of relevancy. When we have a real white rapper or a rhythm to hip-hop that can't be played by a fifth-grade drum student or a word that rhymes with orange or a fat country singer, then let me know that it is really about content rather than salesmanship.
This enjoyable, melodious song is from the movie, “Can-Can”, if my memory serves me right. I wish Turner Classic Movies would show it. I saw it many years ago.
