I am finding lately my day is just not complete without winding down with a little Trinny.
I needed this so much. I've been slowly making myself get rid of expensive old coats with shoulder pads. A painful process! Finally I see shoulders making a comeback and now Trinny has given me permission to try playing with ideas (maybe scarves and layering collars) to offset the look. "Yes ladies! clap"!!!

I've got things in my wardrobe that are over 30 years old. They're better quality than the equivalent now, especially jackets and coats. Everything keeps coming around again.

My mother think it's silly to wear nice cloth casually but I think it's more shame to just storage in the closet and only wear it in a certain way. I'm so glad I'm not the only one ♥️

I had a jacket stored in the loft for about 10 years. Tweed fitted jacket with tie waist and sleeves just to the elbow. Thought was out of fashion but got down about 6 weeks ago, cleaned it and tried it again with jumper underneath and jeans. Looked great. So glad I didn’t get rid of it. Biggest regret was giving away a beautiful silky swing style dress jacket which I would wear loads now 😢. Loved your Marc Jacobs cost 😍

Love your videos! You make me look at my wardrobe differently and there are so many possibilities. I'm trying to create a capsule wardrobe but yet have pieces that are colorful and have patterns. Clothes are so powerful and should be cherished.
I find it interesting how Marie Kondo says to only keep things that spark joy, she even says to keep things that no longer fit if they make u happy. If we all kept things we loved gave love to our outfits like Trinny does, we would only be buying outfits mindfully and not because they're "wear" today, "discard" tmrw. Thanks Trinny !!!

That TSE coat in the beginning is great (also owned some TSE pieces in the past.....) and that Prada dress layering at 12:00 is supercool. Love it. Your closet confessions are simply the best fashion episodes on You Tube and very inspiring to think out of the box and to create new outfits. Old favorite pieces are in fact old friends, who sometimes only need a new sidekick! ;-)

Love this. Would love to learn from you how to shop for investment pieces that will last a long time in your wardrobe. Those staple pieces that stand the test of time and seem to never go out of fashion.
Very helpful. Decluttering is just one option not the only choice.
And you often regret it afterwards. Then you find that the items are impossible to replace.

Oooooh... my faves are: Marc Jacobs burnished (?) gold dress that now can be a blazer jacket.. & the red balloon sleeved dress... oh & the tweed (?) 'when im 70' jacket coat looks fab on you! Actually didnt look old fashioned dressed down with a dash of nonchalance! Love these.. truly an education! xxx : )))

I've gotten rid of stuff when it became apparent I was never going to remotely fit into it again (and I don't have a daughter to hand things down to). Mostly I don't regret having things in my closet from when I was a size US 4 taunting me now, although I did give away a gorgeous collection of Ralph Lauren items from the early '80s that were sort of western/Navajo themed. They were all back in the stores in the last few years, and I could have sold the originals for a LOT more! What I've kept is mostly accessories, especially some evening bags from the '40s and '50s from my great aunts and silk scarves my ex husband's grandfather brought me every year from his trips to Paris and Vienna.

Oh that shimmery tweed coat.... gorgeous! You should definitely wear it! I live in the country so white is difficult but I have taken your shimmer exhortations and have a beautiful sequin tweed Haider Ackermann jacket from eBay and have sacrilegiously stuck gold ribbon on a Katherine Hooker jacket to make it a bit military.... you give me so much inspiration, thank you!

Do you have any suggestions on how to wear or alter a jacket with large 90's shoulder pads? I have a leather jacket it is bomber style but longer than usual it's good quality and was expensive but I don't know what to do to make it wearable today.

Love this concept. I had to have a kidney removed and afterwards a full systemic allergic reaction all over my body to all the things they used to prep my body for the surgery as well as the post surgical tape. That was 18 months ago and I cannot wear any wool anymore yet have an armoire full of cashmere sweaters, wool dresses, coats, etc. What would you do with them?

I'm just never convinced by this style and length of jean on Trinny... I know her rationale but honestly they are so unflattering on her. Either do ankle grazers that are tapered or a slight flare that ends below the ankle... these just look weird and disproportionate. Love everything else she does though ;)
