Nice haul I only can dream off hf stuff since I'm in Puerto Rico I could lost my life in service for our freedom but harbor freight can't even make a store here not even ship stuff to us anymore 😢
@@ELDIESTRODIY thank you for your service!! HF has been growing this year. Don’t lose hope I bet they make a presence there at some point.
Get what y9u can afford..cheap tools need to be used differently than more expensive tools..there ARE differences but not everyone needs professional quality tools to do DIY stuff
@@boosted2.4_sky I couldn’t agree more my friend
This just shows you must live or came from a small town and never grew out of it.
@@drew5992 I grew up in the 4th largest city in Ohio but now I do live in a town with a population of 62. You couldn’t pay me enough to live in a large city again. But idk what that has to do with my tools.
Have you tried Icon wrenches? They’re making some very nice tools, and through Harbor Freight they’re warrantied for life
I have not. I’ve been looking at them but also the Tekton wrench set too.
I've been turning wrenches for a very long time. I actually prefer shorter, more standard length wrenches most of the time because of clearance issues. I still have long pattern wrenches, but usually, the only time I reach for those is when I know something is going to be tight enough to warrant the longer length and/or I know theres enough room. But I mostly use ratchets, breaker bars, and sockets. And, I stopped buying ratcheting wrenches quite a while back. As far as cheap tools go, I try to avoid buying cheap Chinese made tools unless it's unavoidable due to poor past experiences with performance, quality, and warranty issues. Plus, I'm not big on the idea of funding communism and forced labor to a government that lives to take advantage of the United States, even at the cost of its own people, just to save a buck or two. I'm all for good Taiwan made tools, though. I own quite a few of those brands, but China is looking for any reason to invade them and put them back under communist rule. I can't afford to go out and buy the best or most expensive stuff. I do, however, enjoy using good quality tools that I know I can rely on and potentially pass on to my son or grandson. High-quality tools hold much more of their value as well.
I have mostly Craftsman and they go back to the 80s or maybe even before. I think even the less expensive wrenches are pretty good today.
@@rawbacon couldn’t agree more.
Those MAC wrenches are really nice
@@scottaddison8071 I’m honestly not a fan. I wish they were longer. There has been very few times I needed the shorter wrench.
@ try the Carlyle brand tools from NAPA
go bucs!
@@tinyz81 hell yea brotha
You got some micky mouse wrenches, I feel no.pitty on you when a knuckle buster.
20 years and still have had an issue and when I do I’ll switch to Tektons most likely. Don’t need to over pay for tool trucks as a hobbiest.
@Shitbox_restoration very true 👍
I like to buy made-in-USA wrenches at garage/estate sales for $1 each. The new Craftsman V-Series do look neat.
I’ve never thought to check yard sales. That’ll give me a reason to go with my wife now. She’ll be happy
@@Chancesgarage I see tools all the time.
I just got a bunch of craftsman V series wrenches and ratcheting wrenches for cheap. Tried that xl double box end and I really do like em, but their mac version ratcheting wrenches are really short. They are all expensive these days, but I do look for deals like an addict. But I think i'm done and hopefully these sets will last me a life time.
I do wanna try the Craftsman Prodrive set but since they are made by the same people that make Mac I’m hesitant. My Mac wrenches are almost stubbies and I’m not a fan of stubby wrenches.
I use mostly Quinn, Icon, Gearwrench, Teq Pro by Gearwrench from years ago that I still have, and Diehard.
i have and still use the Quinn set and have also had good luck with the Harbor Freight brands and if i do break one i can take to any HF and get it replaced
@@briank1131 I have used quite a bit of Pittsburgh tools and love the lifetime warranty without having to use my life savings.
nice. i will have to get a set
@@DavidLeon140m3 heck yea man, you won’t regret it
Using a 1/4 mile calculator. 100lbs is similar to 12hp.
@@burnnxs thank you. I was going off of the motor trend article. But honestly I believe your calculator more
@Shitbox_restoration I've read that article, either a typo or embellished numbers for clickbait. 10lb would be 1hp. Either way, even those numbers are so narrow, you would have to drop well over 300lbs to start noticing a consistent benefit.
@ I don’t believe you’ll feel much of a difference on the street anyways. I just put that in there as that’s a big argument for people that upgrade seats on street builds.
@@Chancesgarage leaving that information in your video is equal to you claiming your stickers add 10 hp.
@@burnnxsI respectably disagree. As the information I provided can be found with a google search and provided by a reputable source. To some extent I do agree it can be misinformation. But I also ready that power to rate ratios are also effected by starting power and weight. The heavier your original weight the more ho gains through weight reduction.
Do you have to fight with it to release the socket you want?

I have 5 Harborfreight stores within a 30-minute radius. 7 within a 45-minute radius. Yes, I'm bragging.😂
@@wolfhound1a for years I had one an hour away. Then about 2 years ago there was one put 30 minutes away. Now I have two that are 15 minutes away. I feel like a kid at toys r us 😂.
Do they actually ship ? Toolganizer scammed me
@@eladiotorres7804 sorry to hear that about Toolganizer. I had a similar experience with them. Yes Alien Space Saver does ship. I got my order 3 days after I placed it.
i wonder how welll they will do in a service truck?
@@DavidLeon140m3 I just went out to the toolbox to check. The rails have a low center of gravity and will not fall over. There is also enough resistance that I can pick the entire rail up by one socket. I also shook the rail upside and no sockets fell out. I would say these would work great on a service truck.

Haven't seen your channel before, but I just gave your video a like and subscribed. Tool content is always good, even better when you mix the tool content in with the automotive content and can give on the fly feedback with new tools. Looking forward to your next video.
@@mikefisc9989 thank you man. I really appreciate it.
I fricken love harbor freight here in Oregon.
@@rickgonzales1219 they do keep getting better and better
That’s a loaded question. Some tools you want to have high quality versions of. For example I could by some generic brand steel pipe wrench and get my work done but my quality of life would go way down so I invested in rigid aluminum which makes the job go easier and save my arms, shoulder and back. I also tell people no matter what trade your in it’s worth investing in good quality tools for the stuff you use everyday. You don’t need to break the bank trying to buy the best of everything especially when it’s something you might use once every blue moon.
@@Captmorgann I couldn’t agree more. For me I have to have high quality screwdrivers living in the rust belt we strip screwdrivers regularly on rusted screws
No
That is a nice tool cabinet, great value for the money and can easily add the other side or top cabinets later. Easily compares to the Snapon cabinet at a fraction of the cost. Harbor Freight is my go to for tools first, I like the Bauer impacts, 3/8 and 1/2, Daytona low profile/long reach jacks, and the Quinn and Icon tools.
@@kenhenry297 I agree, I believe the 56” is the best value you can get for a toolbox
You own the worst tools. Expand your mind son.
Good mechanics, professional or hobbyists, are not defined by their tools. Everybody should use the tools they can (or want to) afford and which work for them. Sometimes the priorities are elsewhere and that is totally fine. I myself just use what get's the job done.
@@ConservaTron82 I have tools from almost everywhere. Snap on, Mac, Matco. Majority of my tools are tekton though.
The Hercules bit holder is actually very good.
@@TadpoleTrainer appreciate it. I’ve been very impressed with the Bauer and Quinn line so I thought I’d give Hercules line a try
Sorry to hear about the car man. Can't believe it was a hit and run, does insurance help at all? Also love the tool box color
Yea insurance will cover it but even with my deductible it’s cheaper for me to do the work myself.
@@Chancesgarage dang, well I look forward to seeing the repair process. I wish you luck man
Looks cool, definitely a better option than a basic cover. If you do an aftermarket steering wheel, I really liked my NRG wheel.
@@paulclark4064 I have a NRG wheel on my Eclipse and the suede worn really fast. I’m looking at possibly going Sparco or Momo.

@@Chancesgarage Your welcome, I recently got a 2004 WRX and have been looking for things to do with it. Your channel helps with the inspiration. I would buy the wing if that's a possibility. I think I follow you on Instagram if you want to continue the conversation there

Too much rust on it 😂😂
Your right there’s some rust in the wheel arch but that’s what happens when you buy it from the junk yard and work on restoration
Need a tutorial
I traced the base of the spoiler in cardboard and punctured holes in the cardboard with the bolts. Laid the cardboard where I want the spoiler and marked the holes. Drilled the trunk and anchored the spoiler. The new spoiler did not line up with any of the previous spoiler holes either.😊
Looks good! Always wanted this pod on my WRX
If you end up getting one, I would not recommend the glowshift. I’ve had nothing but problems with the pod and the gauges.
@@Chancesgarage oh man that sucks!

I would take 4 ferrari 250 GTOs Then I’ll sell them and buy what I really want…… And be rich AF.
That's one way to think of it.
The orange car from Fast and Furious and they don’t know the green one? Damn
I literally had a guy some up and say "No way you actually have a car from F&F." I laughed and said yea it is the green case was always my favorite eventhough it was only in the beginning. He looks at me weird and says "This isn't the main orange one?"
That's a neat tool boss, glad to see the kiddos are happy. Cant wait for more content
Woah that’s super cool! And it doesn’t leave any damage to the paint?
No damage at all. It leaves a residue and pieces of the rubber wheel. But just a quick wipe and some detail sprat it comes right off.
Hydrodip the wing hahaha
I'm going single stage enamel coat in it. Just because we have to get the whole car resprayed eventually
The good it's a car, the bad it's a project the ugly well that's obvious boss. Hahaha, anyway boss I look forward to watching this series and more
Solid first video.
