Michael Picton - Miss Peregrine's House for Peculiar Children, Book Trailer Soundtrack
- Soundtrack -
Composer: Michael Picton
Image Download Link: Pending
Haven't uploaded videos in a long time, now.
I have no clue how I got the soundtrack (don't remember at all); I found the clean music on the composer's own website (www.michaelpicton.com) - it now looks different than when I accessed it, so maybe he took it off (or hid it really well). His works are truly spectacular, though.
In case you've never seen the trailer, it's here: th-cam.com/video/XWrNyVhSJUU/w-d-xo.html

BASS CLARINET FLUTE PERCUSSION FEATURES ITS SO GOOD I’M EATING THIS UP FRFR
I played this freshman year, and happily got to play percussion
My part was so boring but this piece was so damn good, I absolutely loved it
SHIT IS FUCKING HARD. GOD.
also i love it sm ! i play clarinet 🥰
...
God I still think of the French Horn part where only me and 1st chair could play it. God it felt so good!
We had this song when I was in HS and I played euphonium so 1:28 - 2:00 was like the most fun thing EVER to me so when we didn't play it for a concert it broke my heart😭💔
I remember playing this for my 7th grade year as a horn sheesh it was fun
good 7th grade memories ive been searching for this song for a decade x.x
Percussions go hard 🔥
Played this on tuba in 6 or 7th grade still one of my favs
Just recieved first chair flute part, cant wait to try :)
This goes so hard
my last concert of senior had this piece and i played my heart out on first trumpet, loved it then and listening to it back makes me want to pick my trumpet back up 🔥
Played this on trumpet in my little crew. Best concert band song i ever played since everyone was in on making this sound pristine.
I can't believe I Played this in 8th grade. By far one of my most favorite piece in concert band.
👍
im trying to play this SO bad
This was my firt piece after switching to horn in f and this song will always stick with me!
The percussion section in my class weren’t very serious and rarely got into the music we played. But MAN they pulled it together whenever we played this song
5:13 slaps so hard.
Denmark hello! Greenland and isles say you're missing the? Point.
I would like to do this piece but do not have any French horns. Are there any parts where the horns are the only section playing?
I’m playing it for a festival in a couple of days
Playing the flute part on this. The polyrhythms are super difficult haha. Thanks for the recording, I’m practicing with it.
The first song that actually made me double mallet as a Vibraphonist :3 (well, I mean, it was high school, I was a 'percussionist' technically... but yeah)
i’m in 7th grade symphonic band, we got this piece a few weeks ago and we’re gonna perform it in may..i’m a flute player btw😇
7th honors were getting it on Wednesday 😭😭 percussion
@@gamerwarming2411GOODLUCK the percussion feature is so cool but must be difficult😓😓
french horn part fire
Yessir
Bar 75 - 80 👌
I was a percussion playing the bongo and after playing this song with other percussion playing with tombs which we had two on the tomb because of it being impossible to do solo but this was song was amazing because it give the percussion there own solo with other percussion
I play timpani for this song, and it's so confusing because the tempo changes so much, so it's really easy to get lost and lose count of your rests.
Playing this for UIL. Im the low darbuka!
We are abt to go preform this at a contest for North Texas hs bands amd I'm so excited
ARE YOU FROM THE KAUFMAN HIGHSCHOOL WIND ENSEMBLE??????
SOBBING AND CRYING BECAUSE MY BAND IS PLAYING THIS PIECE FOR OUR UPCOMING CONCERT AND IM NOT IN IIIIITT WAAAHHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH I LOVE THIS SONGGGGGGG
Notes for those playing it now for a concert, correct me if I'm wrong on any of these, I'm making these notes for me more than anyone else (posting them in case it helpd anyone!) and I don't have the score. - During the drum break: The first "Hey!" is 117. The second "Hey! is 4 before 148, where the flutes come in. (4:30) - Entering afterwards (basically with the same part) is, in order, 1. Flutes (4:35) 2. Alto saxophones (flutes still backing) 4:46 3. Baritones/Euphoniums 4:57 4. Trumpets 5:05 5. Flutes again (saxophones and possibly clarinets as backing?) 5:12 From there it's up to you to count, since I don't believe there are any long sets of rests afterwards for most folks? Happy playing! Hope this is a fun concert :)
as a flute i literally spent 30 whole minutes practicing that last part and i am STILL STUCK.
anyone else hearing batman somewhere?
I had the bongo part for this, my lord how fire this piece is
Percussion part is W
That 16 measure note at the beginning is the bane of my existence but then when we get to measure 17 and the whole piece really starts
IM BUSTINGF
ITS GOING EVERYWHERE
Same
Honestly same
Relatable
as a sousaphone player, this song did me justice in highschool band 🤣
Played Bari sax for winter concert and we take everything down the octive. By far the most fun I've had with a peice
i got the flute solo in my band 😝
Still by far my favorite concert piece in high school it was so cool and I played the marimba part
I would love to the the ContraAlto Clarinet for this. Imagine if there was a Contrabass Clarinet part for this. Ooh that would be epic, i think.
I love the flutes and clarinets. Doodoo doodoo doodoo doodoo doodoo dit doo dit doodoodoo And as an euphonium…GORGEOUS It’s not everyday you get the melody/counter melody
playing this for our fall concert as the pianist^_^
I play timpani in on this piece and my director hates percussion but he loves the timpani part and i love my lil solo at 76 :]
It was the most fun song for percussionists, we all got to play a new instrument. Our director also bought new darbukas and djembes so we had the latest stuff. I got the djembe but I played the darbuka part.
