Been snowing here lately so I decided to take the 400 out in the snow for some fun.

Quick update on the 450r. Sanded and painted the frame and a-arms. Started to put the bike back together least to make it a roller until the motor gets done.

Have a 300 ex ticks like hell
Yeah reverse is nice but there is something about the bug eye that’s just awesome not just the looks but it just seems more sporty especially with shaved front fenders and angry headlights
Cut fenders is the ugliest thing you can do to a quad especially 400ex

I have a muffler delete on my 2016 mustang and it drones quite badly, does this setup have any droning?
it will be 100 times better then a muffler delete. the only bit of drone that happens is if your going like 40mph in 6th gear but that's very rare.
@@rwpilkerton That would be rare, I don’t think it will do 40 in 6th. It would slow down, unless you’re going downhill.

I am debating on getting the borla s-type or borla ataks. I eventually want to put headers on. Would the s-types be better less obnoxious option?
If you plan on headers then yes the s type will be the better option. The ataks will be crazy loud.
@@rwpilkerton I appreciate the feedback man. I live in a apartment complex and I don’t go to work in my car because I have to get up at 4:30. So I didn’t want anything too loud when I do add headers. My daily is Toyota Camry.

you won't even hear it with the windows rolled up if you're doing just axelbacks..but makes a sweet sound when you're under power.

I just went with the 3” for better flow for when you get headers. I’m sure both or just fine.

Never driven a sport qaud I have a trail muding qaud and a dirtbike tell me are they as fun. As dirt bikes ?
They are fun but you can do everything on the dirt bike that you can do on a sport quad.

Is this the Cat Back or Axle Back with Stock Resonator? I deleted the resonator with the H-Pipe and the drone is killing me with the top up in the convertible. Debating between going to Magnaflow or Borla, deciding between Axle back and Cat Back
This is the 3” cat back. Comes with the 3” adapters for when you want to go headers down the road. The only time this has a drone that I consider drone is 6th gear and like 40mph. I enjoy the sound of the s type
Tim L look at the Borla resonator for this system if you're having sound issues
Thanks for this. Nice example of real world driving with this exhaust. Perfect for a daily IMO - great sound & tone, but not obnoxiously loud with civil driving.
Thanks. I like the deeper tones and this one has it. Does get a little raspy in the higher rpms. And it’s not to loud until you want it to be.

I don't think she did. The wife was recording it. We did get some more vids this weekend. I'll have to put them together an make a much better video.
The 400ex is one of the best sounding, best looking, and best performing 4 stroke sport quads on the market
They are hard to beat.

I cant remember what I had on it when this video was taking. I think it was a Fmf. I have a lexx mxe on it now. The fmf rusted apart.

Do you think this is a suitable daily driving exhaust. How’s it with the neighbors any complaints?
I love it. Nobody complains about it. It's pretty loud at start up but other than that it's a nice sounding exhaust. It's pretty tame until you get on it.

Is it a pain not having reverse? I want to get one of these someday for some trail riding and I don't know if I should save up more for a newer model with reverse or if it's not too much of a problem.
Would i like to have reverse? Yes. Is it a pain? No not really just depends what kind of situation you get yourself into. The 05 and up models have reverse.

I had one without reverse and you always keep the thought in your mind and you’ll kinda keep ourself out of trouble. It became a habit to make sure I could turn around and if you do have to pull it they aren’t heavy

Agreed, i like to check out the scenery when i trail/woods ride not just fly through it... The TRX400EX is a AWESOME woods machine i would not trade it for any other machine.
