House of Miracles - Brandon Lake - Lead Guitar Part
Thank you for making this video, it was truly helpfull
6:27 Exactly. I love that I am not the only one that feels this way
I’m dyslexic and struggle with manuals. This video helped me, thank you!
Sold mine........then (after using a Cosmos, MOOD MKII, etc.) bought another..............there are just some great features that nothing else really offers.....great upload though
Yeah I just sold mine, already looking up alternatives. I love my soma cosmos, will never get rid of that
it's tough.....so many great pieces of gear.....each with it's own appeal........................Just waiting for my new Microcosm to arrive. It took me quite a while to realize how difficult it was to find an alternative that had the same mystique and magic...............(sold my Cosmos as well.......really loved some of it's abilities, but decided to go with something that had presets and clock)
Thank you! I'm playing very different genres usually but your explanation and technique demonstration have been very helpful and inspiring!
Amazing thanks alot!
A couple sound clips to demonstrate the sound would be helpful.
mine has a delay before the effects kick in..which setting do i need to change, I did factory reset ...great walkthrough
Im going through this right now. Im about to out my Black Microcosm uo for sale. Kinda sad about it.. but its the right choice. Unless i keep it fir my synths
Why???
@@ayjbray not using it for guitar as much as I thought I would. Definitely takes time and memory to learn all the controls and knobs, but some very nice rhythmic stuff you can do with it. I still think that nothing does what it does, and it's a really cool and special pedal. But trying to thin out some gear.
Why the music in the background why???
Thanks for sharing this. I needed this intro to the Microcosm Hologram.
I feel like we're all just here with the microcosm for the mosaic setting
Thank you so much!
9:46 the goat
Thank you, that’s very helpful
Thanks for the quality video. What you up to these days?
Not. Boring at all. Thankyou for your time and effort. 🙃♥️🙂🙏
Is this considered a Delay or Reverb pedal ? Thx
It would probably be considered more a “Modulation” pedal of sorts. But a little unlike most pedals
Granular delay
Worship guitar guys seem to be the prime audience for every *new gimmick pedal* ala constantly chasing new gear. It's weird. Boutique everything, boards more complex than touring guys. Where does it end?
Actually agree with you. In all the incredible options available in our time, it’s waaaay too easy to get caught up in the gear, losing sight of what it should actually be about!
Best video for this pedal
Thank you!! So many things I didn’t know and I’ve had my pedal for years. Haha
It would help if you demonstrated the sound after you explain the setting .
Great video. Thanks, mate!
Thanks
So many pedals, such little talent :(
Wow thanks.
It is a balance: on one side how much do you use it. On the other how much you dont. In my case won how much do l use it (not much with my guitar thought. It's more of a synth pedal IMO. I think l will keep it forever and ever. Thank you very much. Really dig your vids and speech.
Brilliant and very clear. No flashy riffs or baroque arpeggios. Great!
Thank uuuuuuu! This explanation was straight and to the point…. I’ve been trying to find a video that would explain better…. This was perfect
Thanks so much!
Dude I just wanted to record a guitar loop. I still can't get it to just get in and out of record on time and I'm a drummer
Very helpful! It's it possible to backup user presets?
It actually has 4 different reverb modes! Great video! Love my MC! Thanks for making this! I’m still learning about it a year later 😂
Really helpful - thank you!
This is awesome man!!
What a nutty pedal
10:14 thank you! I’ve spent almost 2 hours trying to figure out how to actually select a looper mode. Doesnt say in the manual the exactly combo of press and holds to achieve this and i’ve watched 16 tutorials where nobody mentions the exact steps. Its like a video game password you have to guess
Glad it helped
thanks for the vids!! overview was clear & efficient, pros & cons are right on
Well done, perfectly clear explanation of what's going on and how to operate.
Very good, but you’re behind the click.
hah very true! I was just getting started with my youtube audio setup and couldn't hear myself well at the time!
You left out strings and picks make a huge difference in tone
Great point! new strings work wonders
my selector knob doesn't work...I don't understand why. But, there's nothing to "push". I guess it's jammed?
I think I'll make a video on how to read manuals. Remember the day, prior to phones and YT, when people actually had to read and/or really enjoyed it? I don't mean simple manuals for a guitar pedals, but real directions. I'm amazed at the number of people who depend on TH-cam --like helpless children without their mommy. If their phone doesn't tell them how to do something in 8 minutes, they freak out. Sorry to be an aas, but seeing this title was the last straw. I'm just shocked at how many "How-To" videos there are about this pedal. It's not the freakin' Hadron Collider, FFS. Currently, on the right side of my YT page, I see 3 (out of 7) HOW-TO videos about this pedal. It only took me about 3 hours of reading the manual, while simultaneously turning knobs, and doing/playing what i had just read to learn it pretty well. Well enough to start writing simple phrases with it, at least. Let's just say that I know the pedal well enough, after a week with it, that i'm seriously thinking about getting a second one, now that i'm beginning to realize how two may be able to offer an extremely powerful creative tool. It's not the same just using its looper, or recording one track with it, due to the pedals highly 'improvisational' personality; as yet, I haven't been able to play a short phrase, back to back, which sounds the same. Simply put, any track you lay down will sound vastly different (for the most part) to the next take. Wow, and all because I know how to read well. yes yes, I hear the other side already saying something like, "But i just don't 'get it', I've never used a pedal like this". Well, that's all about creativity, and there isn't a manual for that.
So what songs are you guys using this on?
Have you tried the xotic sp compressor? I was wondering if the deep six was any better or about the same
I haven’t but would love to compare a few different ones.
That made zero sense my friend. You explained and did like three different things here
Hah sorry mate. Which part did you find confusing? The pattern part at the beginning? Thanks for the feed back 😎
Thank you this was super helpful. Particularly the buffered trails.
So glad it was helpful
Good point!😊
wow you should go full time with this lol
Excellent video that actually teaches one how to use the unit. 99% of videos are just tweaking aimlessly without knowing how results are achieved. Thank you. Great video. Please tell me about the output stage. Is the gain very low and how does one avoid embarrassment of silent patches. Thanks in advance 🙏
Thanks so much! Sorry for clarification do you mean pops from changing patches?
@@WorshipGuitarLab 1. I believe the microcosm has a very low output gain stage. Is this true ? 2. When changing patches is the transition smooth or abrupt I have yet to order my unit Thanks for your response 🙏👍
Really well explained....got my hologram yesterday... the manual is a bit confusing..... therefore this video is quite helpful. A question...is there a way to switch it completely off...by not cutting the electricity off.....?
As far as I know it works like most other pedals where if it has power it’s “on”. Glad the video was helpful!
So good! This is something that you don't hear talked about a ton. As someone trying to figure out playing guitar at church, tones, etc. this is very helpful! Love the videos, keep it up!
