Thanks, turning is something I started as just a bit of a hobby but the pens have kinda become a nice little sideline that I can do between other jobs and they usually seem to sell well at Christmas craft markets 😀👍🏼

Yep definitely wants a few more furrows but the tractor was mostly bought for cultivation and drilling and currently this is the biggest plough the farm has but that said even in tough weald clay ground the big Massey will pull the plough at not much above tick over so it’s not like it’s burning a lot more diesel than a smaller tractor

Yep exactly that the field often laid waterlogged through the winter months so subsoiling in tandem with having the ditches cleaned out has made a fairly good difference, I should have probably put a few extra psi in the tyres as the tyre flex was most of the cause for the tractor jolting but it did the job 👍🏻

Sadly got too much work to get done so not this year, I was at the weald a couple of weeks ago but didn’t get on very well

Thanks this was the very first time out with the plough after building it and it has had a fair few tweaks and adaptions over the last couple of years to the point where before lockdown at the beginning of last year I managed 3rd in my class at the Kent ploughing championship so I’m quite happy with it 😀👍🏻

I usually compete at the weald of Kent ploughing match but I have ploughed at the swale and Kent championship before th-cam.com/video/mumNdKsDdBc/w-d-xo.html You can see my tractor (red wheeled super dexta) and plough in this video at this year’s championship where I managed 3rd in my class

They are very simple but because of that they are also pretty robust. I have found them to be at least as fast as a hydraulic splitter on knotty or stringy stuff but on clean relatively easy stuff it’s much faster as there’s no waiting for a ram to return. I’m fairly sure The company that makes them has said somewhere that to get equal splitting power from a hydraulic you would be looking at 25ton + which having used a fair few hydraulic splitters over the years i can well believe

It’s a 6 foot port agri topper which I picked up at a farm sale really cheap as the deck was fairly rotten so I bought some new sheet steel, set about it with the angle grinder and welder and now I have a reasonably useable bit of kit 🛠👍🏻

Thanks I’ve owned it since my early teens when I bought it instead of a new BMX, now I’m in my late 30s I’m definitely glad I went for the tractor 👍🏻🚜

Incredible Classic Tractors thanks the plough has had some work done on it over this winter (replacing a bent frog etc) so I’m really hoping to get it out when the ground drys up and have a good day getting it all set up and ready for my local match 🚜👍🏻

I'd go as far as saying at least as excellent as the not so good looking bloke holding the camera 😄
