I do care, but I can't do anything about it. I loved buying American COACH and DOONEY AND BOURKE. But I also realize importants and exports make the world go around. I've never been to France and can't understand why my LV made in France was such a big deal originally 🧐

I like buying handbags. I've liked them since I was a kid. I have bought into consumerism. And I will take that multi- color LV,THANK YOU MA'AM 😂 LOL. I need to get it together 🧐

I am 60 and have loved bags for about 30 years. I have no desire to buy luxury. I love Coach...I love the styles and leather. I keep my collection 25-30. Generally, I prefer no "signature" C's. Im in Midwest and no luxury brands around me . ( no Coach even). I only buy what I like and don't feel I buy because of hype. I know what styles work for me but it took time to figure it out. We take a big Europe trip every year and a US trip and have a very busy social calendar which can get pricey. I like to spend no more than 500 for a bag and I think about each purchase. I'm sure with age , I've become smarter.

oh yeah! ive been talking about this on my channel as well! YOu worded it well, I dont want to be a part of HUGE consumerism. I did grow up thrifting sometimes bc it was cheaper and sometimes bc its what the style was - and I have ALWAYS enjoyed thrifting. Its so fun to search for something and find it without seeing the mass produced amounts of other things that have been made. Since I have gone to mostly Rough & Tumble bags I dont see them out in the wild like I used to see LV everywhere! I may do a response video to this in another week or so! Love it Andrea!

I feel like honestly this applies to lv for most ppl. there's an extra special feeling getting a lv made in France and knowing it came from the founding place. I don't agree with returning it just because it's made in the USA or other places. To each their own. Quality is definitely above "made in" for me! Anytime! Great video Andrea! 😊💕

I would love to buy purses & more products made from the U.S & Canada but that is very hard to do. Quality in craftsmanship is very important to me as well.

Hi!!! I haven’t had any quality issues with my bags. But to be honest I do prefer made in france for my LV bags. It’s just something special to me and I feel special when I carry them. I do have a few made in Spain for my slgs from LV but they are so beautiful I’m ok with it. I didn’t start out this way it was just how they came to me. So luck of the draw. Take care 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

I personally haven’t had any quality issues with my bags. I’ve seen people complain about certain releases like the LV bumbag saying there were issues with bags made in the US. They have hundreds of styles and multiple warehouses. But I assume smaller brands who don’t make as many bags and have only 1 or 2 warehouses have much more continuity in their quality. I know for me I just want a good bag that is worth my money. Regardless of where it’s made.

Where it's made would be the last thing I would think about. but that's just me The funny thing is for years on years about everything came from china, ppl just didn't pay attention to the tags in stuff including leathers. But since temu came on the scene now everybody is fussing over things coming from china. lol If u like the bag, get it! thats my motto heheh

This is a fantastic topic, I am so all over it! As a geographer by education, this brings a myriad of questions and ideas for discussion. If I recall correctly, Autumn Beckman made a great video about where luxury goods are made, does it matter etc. there’s definitely a stigma on the where and which is better made. Personally, as long as it’s made well, it’s what matters at the end of the day. But transparency is probably the ultimate…is it really made where it says it is? However, I do gravitate towards the idea of locally made. GoForthGoods is on my radar as it is a modern day brand that is all made in the USA, and they do appear to be transparent. Portland Leather sources their leather from Mexico. Which it’s not within the same country, but it’s still within the continent and the companies relationship with the tannery(s) is a solid one. Again, the transparency of how it’s manufactured is where it’s really at.

Hi Andrea, interesting topic! In general I don't really care where bags are made. As your video demonstrates, there's beautiful materials and talented crafts people all over the world. But I can understand that the allure of some brands is also in where they are created. LV from the USA, it just feels a bit off. 😅

I like to buy GFG bags and being made in the USA is a big part of why for me. For luxury French brands I think the cache of being made in France is what I’d want. But I really don’t have a preference 😁. Thanks for sharing! Peace and love..Suz What ☮️💛

Great topic Andrea, I don't really have a preference as I like what I like, that being said the LV bags i purchased new in the 2000's were all made in France. I do love a non luxury bag made in Italy & the leather is so sumpcious🙂 I also have a couple leather bags made in Mexico that are really quality made. Have a wonderful day🥰

I think that people talk so much more about personal finance openly now resulting in the younger generation that is so much more financially educated now, compared to us gen xyz❤ they are also more mindful about sustaining the planet 😊

I just started going to Goodwill in June. Now Clothes mentor, I go there to sale my clothes. Once in a while I'll buy something. My daughter actually works at Goodwill.

I just Love my bags! Don't care if they have logos ! I have a few Coach my sister bought me and doonys I bought second hand! I have quite a few designer inspired, would never buy real too expensive.The most I've ever paid was 115.00. I just like certain looks .Everyone is entitled to like what they like.I don't spend money I don't have on bags. I'm just a bag lover.

Aww I remember the DB strap! I wanted it but it’s just too long for my 5ft frame. I would love to see them make it in a short shoulder version. You make me want to pull out my speedy. That canvas is so pretty and shiny. I know for me, I still enjoy lv. I’m not easily turned off from a brand just because others no longer buy. I love contemporary too. I love them all! Lol TFS🤗

I have always been a bag loving person, I love carrying them, the brand does not matter. As long as it meets my needs which is being practical, multi carry ways and not too heavy. Yes i am guilty of buying a bag or two that I have seen advertised on YT. My daughters and I are not fixated on logos at all. Covid years were terrible & most definitely high buy years! Plus life changing moments like going through grief increased my chances of emotional buying. Such a great topic, thank you for sharing. Always enjoy your content 😁❤️👜
