I'd only ever heard Cara via Transatlantic Sessions where she was perhaps a bit restrained, so it's really great to hear her on these sessions putting her heart and soul into it and with a really great band. What a lovely tapestry of sound.

Looks like I'm the first comment after 6 years lol. I ordered a viola ToneRite off eBay after spending a few hours reading though forum discussions & online debates on whether the thing is real or snakeoil. I have hope it will affect my 6 year old viola, which I play once a week. It seemed to mellow out your sound! Hoping for the same on my instrument. I ordered some new Warchal Brilliant strings, known for their bright projecting sound (seem to work better than the darker Evah Pirazzi's). So it should be interesting to see how a bright but more rounded tone sounds, assuming the device works properly!

A friend and his wife found this in England as it wasn't available on the net or anywhere else other than Ireland back then. Another friend had to de-zone my DVD player in order for it to play. I miss those dear people...

I have a triple o 18 GE and I liked it so much I just bought a D 18 GE. They are truly the best sounding guitars I've ever heard. But to me the way one guitar sounds compared to another is subjective. The guy that did the demo did a good job, played the same thing on both guitars and sounded good doing it hat's off to him.

Lovely guitars. Hard to choose. Hess and Dalton and Goodall, bu I liked them all.

First of all: 1. Stop the Fan - or /AC in the background! 2. Use a separate mic instead of the built in camera mic. 3. Ideally - Use a recorder with a Manual Volume level control to record the Sustain length correctly. An Auto Volume strengthens the weak sounds and supresses the strong sounds. Itś Impossible to judge this test As Is. Your playing is done on two different days which affects the result. The strings have of course been used quite heavy when You start playing them Day 2. Also: When using a premium Martin guitar that already sounds - lets say at 90% of its optimal potential, any betterment is only possible within the remaning 10%. So - to prove any audible betterment from the ToneRite You really should apply it to a consumer guitar in the 4-500 USD price level. Honestly - I did not hear any "Great difference". Your Martin Guitar maybe sounded faintly "different", not Better, Day 2 - because of the things I've listed above.

Absolutely beautiful voice by Cara singing these songs and every piano and instrument player were tremendous too!

Audio faults aside, Id like to find this compilation somewhere....beyond enjoyable....great musicianship. Wonderful singing.

Your comparison was great! Thank you for switching guitars when the sound of the previous guitar was fresh to our ears. I thought both guitars sounded wonderful. The D-18 had more of a bell ringing tone, which I particularly favor, so I would have to go with it as my favorite. I've owned a D-35 for over 40 years, so the D-18 is refreshing. Favoring the 18 might just be because I've heard the rosewood sound for so many years..
