The University of New Mexico, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences shares wide variety of free in-house developed live training videos and presentations on a broad array of behavioral health topics that include but are not limited to behavioral health workforce development, clinical supervision, law and mental health, and departmental grand rounds.

Law and Mental Health: A horse of a different color? Distinguishing forensic and clinical supervision approaches -Heath Hodges, PhD, MLS, ABPP
Dr. Hodges is a forensic psychologist located in Virginia. He earned his doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, completed his internship at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, and completed his forensic postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. He is board certified in forensic psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He has co-developed or served in leadership positions for three forensic psychology postdoctoral fellowships, including a brief stint as the interim director of the fellowship at UNM. He primarily conducts forensic mental health evaluations in criminal and civil settings. His research interests include the role of artificial intelligence in forensic practice, ethical decision making in forensic settings, and forensic supervision practices.
Learning Objectives:
1. Critique assumptions that forensic and clinical supervision are equivalent practices and competencies.
2. Identify ways in which these two types of supervision may be similar and where they diverge.
3. Discuss the implications of forensic mental health assessment principles on the practice of forensic supervision.
