Private, instrument-rated pilot based on Cape Cod, MA. I learned to fly in a Cessna 172 and got my Private Pilot Certificate in 2021. I now fly a Cirrus SR22 which I received my instrument rating in during 2022. My goal with the videos is to (1) promote safe and fun general aviation flying, and (2) help others who dream of flying and are searching TH-cam for learning and inspiration.
Family travels are my main mission, and I am committed to being a lifelong learner and the safest pilot I can be. Thank you for visiting, and feel free to reach out.

The dumbest smart trick for Lightspeed headsets
มุมมอง 301ปีที่แล้ว
Many people love Lightspeed aviation headsets, but there is one common complaint that annoys some pilots. The mic boom simply isn't as long as the one on Bose headsets. On this flight, I break out my brand new Lightspeed Delta Zulu headset and show you a simple trick I picked up for getting that microphone to stay exactly where you want it. #generalaviation #aviation #cirrusaircraft #sr22 #tips...
How fast to fly to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard?
มุมมอง 417ปีที่แล้ว
On a perfect summer morning, we fly to the islands off of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, trying to make it back home before the kids wake up. Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard are beautiful and very popular vacation destinations. Even though I'm a private pilot based in nearby Hyannis, I haven't actually flown to the islands yet. Until today. Our teenage kids are taking full advantage of their summer b...

Tighten that seat belt real good because we're going upside-down again and again... and again and again. You see, I'm taking Upset Prevention and Recovery Training with the good folks at Mike Goulian Aviation in Massachusetts. After extensive ground training, we do stalls, unusual attitudes, and spin recoveries before moving onto the most exciting stuff: the aerobatics. After flying gentle and ...
Immediate abort -- fuel leak after takeoff

Why you should be flying with friends || Pilot Fly-In + ATC dig
มุมมอง 577ปีที่แล้ว
Seriously, if you want to improve your flying, get up in the air with some pilot friends. After a terrific fly-in weekend on St. Simons Island, Georgia, I spend some time on the flight home reflecting on just how valuable my group of friends is to me and my learning. Need a place to start looking for pilot friends? Get in touch with our little community via: @BrianSiskind @MidlifePilot Don't be...
Night Landings -- nosewheel control & centerline
มุมมอง 152ปีที่แล้ว
I'm getting current by flying 3 takeoffs and landings at night to a full stop. But instead of just banging them out and calling it a day, I decided to really work on some things that have bothered me about my recent landings. First: keeping the nosewheel off the runway until the last possible moment. Protecting the more fragile nose gear from unnecessary stress is important for safety and longe...

See, it's not that hard. My son was eager to get on the comms sitting in the co-pilot seat this morning, so I gave him a script and he nailed it. Next up, some in-air handoffs! #airtrafficcontrol #studentpilot #cirrusaircraft

Great video!
That is my home field, I also worked there in the late 80's and early 90's.
That is really weird. He is supposed to tell you when you fail and you can decide if you want to continue or end the check ride.
What mount did you use for the internal camera?
she just wanted to scare the crap outa u ! lol.
Did you buy your own aircraft or?
How close can you fly to cedar point? What are the rules? I'm reading 1k feet above it? I'm daydreaming about becoming a Pilot and flying over with friends. I've been visiting every year or so for a long time.
I'm also trying to figure out what small airport would be best for that, they all see about 35-45min away.
lol least favorite check ride review video ever. Just complained your hand wasn’t held and your DPE was being evaluated as well. Not a big fucking deal 😂
Ngl my dream was always to see if u could see Ohio from Canada and/or see Canada from Ohio
Good job man!! 🎉
I appreciate this video very much. Most people only ever show their perfect stuff and not willing to show their mistakes. This video gives an excellent example of how stressful this is. And I love your instructor, very cool calm and collected. And I also love how he had you go all the way to the runway. Shows a lot of confidence in you. I also love how you called out the mistakes afterwards. Really really good stuff man! Love these kinds of videos! Cheers and happy flying!
Great bro! God Bless you, Jesus is always watching over you as you cut through those blue skies!
Busting my bractical for the Glider PPL rating due to an unfortunate skid on base to final after a rope break simulation, I have learned a great lesson to always remain coordinated.
Sorry man
faa being there should make no difference the fact that it did is part of why u failed also the faa is probly watching yer examiner more than u so hes gotta b on his game or he may fail as well
Good job man
There was a video about this because it was in the DC flyover. If you haven't seen it I can find it. I'm lazy, what are the two airport codes? (HYA MVY?) I wanna see if I can beat it for shorter :)
Yup KHYA to KMVY

BIg fan of AOPA. Thanks for a cool video!
Super cool! Thank you for sharing 😊
Great work ... The GA community looking out for each other on display right there .. nice job being the middle man with the comms .. good work .. safe skies ..
Oh maaan so funny🤣
It would be like a ball and chain around my neck.🤢 It would be like one of your parents watching you have sex🤬 (as an analogy). Performance anxiety.
Proof that pool diving is more perilous than aviation.
I'm struck by how much I really enjoyed the politeness between you and your wife. Also I liked the images from your phone. Kept me connected by giving me a little bit more of your perspective.

3JA,5JA,6JA,and 8JA in the pattern at BVI. Lol two Diamonds and two Cirrus.
Ouch that's gotta be fun. I have to get back down there sometime and mix it up a bit! I'm due for a BFR in September...
Your transponder didn’t show up until u climbed higher
We have a similar situation at our airport. 81BL and 83BL are both Bristells and are used in training, often in the pattern together. Makes you keep your ears peeled.
Pretty great he was so clear. No glass joe?
Man, I could never get past Bald Bull.
That's how mistakes can be avoided!
Absolutely
I am very confused, I have purchased the Lightspeed Delta Zula about six months ago from the Lightspeed website. Mines didn’t come with the blue tape does that mean they weren’t new?
Good question, I don't know, maybe reach out to their customer service and ask!
You don’t hear that every day😂
That's for sure
So you, Josh, are the one answering all the questions and doing all the piloting. Then, you have the DPE and the FAA Representative both criticizing your piloting. Reminds me of a ditch digger digging a hole NY with two white helmeted supervisors peering over the edge trying to tell him how and where to shovel. 🤔🙄🤨😳😲
Great video
Thank you!
If that happens discontinue, it's a very unfair situation
The big thing you need to be secure in is your documents, make sure that charts, apch.plates are all current, sectionals current dates; wt. Bal correct all recent matinance info current n correct etc. My 135 company was under hack; all of our pilots got letters of inforcment 90 day suspensions except me. I recived a no notice flt check at the airport.and could have lost it all!
Is that runway seriously that dark or was that just your camera?
The runway was really that dim -- very tough to make out until we were almost on top of it!
FIKI should be relabeled as FOKI (Fly Out of Known Ice). TKS solution cannot handle moderate to heavy icing. FOKI is to abate ice only until you can get on the ground.
Absolutely, yes.
I didn't have the feds ride along but I did have an instrument ride and commercial single ride in the same day back to back. Passed both but on the instrument ride I wasn't holding altitudes and was losing my composure, frustrated with my performance but fighting for the altitude at some points but still flew within standards.
Closest I have gotten to that at BOS is landing the E190 on RWY 32. A fun treat, and atc loves that we can accept it.
I love the view stunning.
Does anyone realize that you can hear him the same if it’s against his lips or half an inch away. No difference and no need to be sticking it in your mouth.
This might be the single most relatable aviation youtube video I've ever seen 😂
Eureka! You have solved the LIghtspeed problem! I have the older version, but I've definitely felt the need to keep pulling on the boom. Problem solved!
