Hello, how is it with stone fruits like plums? isn't there a risk of piercing the bladder with a stone? BTW, What is the exact term for it - pit? stone???
Hi Tomas, I think in smaller fruits it's a pit and in larger ones it's a stone.... If you press fruit with hard stones (e.g. plums) you have to destone the fruit before pressing!

I just bought a smaller version of this hydropress, same thing, just a little bit smaller. I have a lot of fruit trees. I tested it by thawing out a lot of apples/pears/grapes from last year. I had about 10 gallons worth of fruit mush after I put them through my grinder and I pressed it all into about 5 gallons of great cidar. This product does an absolutly great job of pressing/ Beware, it gets messy with fruit lol!

That is a real issue. Oil is poison. When things go sideways 😂 you have to dump the juice. Also the energy involved is a bit dangerous.... ..but so is drinking
So drain out the hydraulic oil and fill the pump with vegetable oil

You can use a kitchen robot to cut the fruit. Then place it 1 night in the freezer (plastic bags ?). Once it is no more frozen you can get the juice out of it.

I just hooked it up to my irrigation hose and it hit 3 bar perfectly fine.
@@Starman.2112 Yeah I can confirm it works fine on normal house pressure. It still kind of messes with my brain but I've come to realize its not about the pressure really, its about the weight of the water. The pressure has to overcome the weight of the water in the bladder so that it can actually fill it, but it seems like it would take a lot more and if it was air I think it would! Works like a charm though.
