Serious question... why wouldn't someone just take a chainsaw and take the stump down a little more, then grind it down. It would be so much more efficient, wouldn't it?

Hi there. Just curious, how’s the skid steer? And would you have paid 25k for it if there was a store that wholesales it? Or not worth the 25k? I am looking at some that’s 7-9k but trying to resell them locally to construction companies.

What kind of hydraulic fluid do these Chinese mini tracks take? I have seen not to use hydraulic fluid but use 10w30 motor oil. I didn't get a manual with it .Also

Heat wrap your muffler. It looses alot of heat into the box. I see some later models have the muffler outside the box. Glad I found your channel. I have the same mini without a few of the options you have.

So would you make a video of how you got this skid steer how much the overall cost of equipment? I am instead in getting one just have a lot of question on the cost, pros and cons and how to find one at a reasonable cost. thanks for the videos

The stump grinding I’d love to see how that works

The shrouds are important, my parents had hired a crew to grind a stump, and about 2 hours in, the stump grinder threw a chunk of steel about twice the size of a railroad spike through a window, an interior wall, an exterior wall and it landed about 30 feed into the yard. The tree was about 3 feet in diameter at chest height.

You should check out one of the auger stump planers. I don't know what diameter it can drive, but it should be much quicker to get rid of the bulk of the stumps before using a stump grinder.

It would be very beneficial to think of the stump as a multi layer cake and each layer is about 2 inches thick, you grind no more than those 2 inches at a time and you will find that it will be able to handle the load better. After that first layer you go back to the beginning going down no more than 2 inches and so on until you reach the depth you want. Your machine will not struggle as much and it doesn’t actually take any more time. I wish you the best of luck.

I lucked out and found a seller with a 23 model SL 380 wheeled mini skid steer with zero hours. He needed to sell it for another expense. Paid 5000 cash. It has a full cover on the engine and will lift between 600-700 lbs which is more than enough for around our homestead. I really did not like standing in front of an exposed engine. I added a fork lift frame and hitch receiver for moving our trailers around the yard. Was really dreading the whole import process until I found this on Facebook marketplace. My only complaint is its forward speed. Pretty slow at 3mph. Came with a Rato 739cc 23HP engine which appears to be a Honda and Predator clone. Parts are easy to cross reference.

Thanks for your time on the subject. I do have a question, any experience with an auger attachment on this machine? I’m a fence installer and trying to break out on my own this spring. I’m thinking of getting one of these to reduce dependence on a less than stellar current laborer pool.

Hello ! What is the exact type of machine?

i have an agt 23 . it came with the briggs clone engine (china ), doesn't have the donaldson filter either. my hood has no problem clearing the tilt cylinder. so far i have the std bucket i put 6 teeth on, the 4 way bucket, a land plane, a clam shell grapple. an adaptor with receiver hitch and a 4ft straight blade. I need to make brackets on my utility trailer to store all the buckets. hope to have as good of luck as most. mostly lawn and yard work, lite tree work when necessary. you need to level the intake snorkle on the engine and look into an "engine air" prefilter. it will make your air filters last 10x longer.
