I couldnt figure out the websites application interface and applied to the wrong thing, i applied for visiting student instead of new student. I think i can publish my first indie game this year though, I still wanna experience college, but it's gonna pull me in the opposite direction of what i want for my life. Outside of college = very hard to find people my age to talk to. no real social interaction 20-28

Very interesting perspective. As someone who's in the U.S. I never thought about international colleges/Canadian schools, so it's news to me that international students would come to the U.S. - but that makes sense. And U.S. college are also, like you mentioned, abhorrently expensive. Agree with all of your points in your decision - I went to a cheaper state college and honestly, you can make any of your college experience "Ivy League Level" with your choices in more advanced classes, extracurricular, and network. Not going into a ton of debt right out of college has been a great idea looking back for sure.

Hi Kailey, I'm a UofT alum that got recommended your video. I want to share a few thoughts on your reasons for not choosing CMU and hope it can be a useful perspective to consider for making a similar decision in the future. Try not to worry about short-term costs like tuition repayment if you can; a few years isn’t significant in the grand scheme of your life. The US offers significantly much better earning potential and career opportunities than Canada. You wouldn't be tied to Toronto location-wise, nor would you have been tied to Pittsburgh - most students and graduates will work elsewhere and move to places like NYC or California. It's expected that education and career often lead to various locations throughout your life. That being said, life is what you make of it, whatever decision you decide. Ten years ago, I also chose UofT over US schools, and while I don't know that it was the best path, I don’t regret it. Cheers.

After seeing your Dashboard Stats, and using my analytical mind, the shorts with the extremely low counts, you might consider the actual "content" or subject matter (boring is bad!), and do a Google search on the amount of "interest" on the topics of those shorts. From my research, trends are shfiting by "season" which I wasn't aware actually existed. In hindsight, I suppose the summer months would be prone to excel on relaxation and vacation/travel, where as August/September families, in general are thinking more along the lines of kids heading back to school, work and other "business" like content. I was planning to apply to Georgia Tech, but after seeing the kind of international students who apply there, I feel like I hardly stand a chance :( I'm currently studying Industrial Engineering in my Master's with a focus on logistics, and during my Bachelor's, I didn’t manage to apply for a semester abroad.
