BRAVO BRAVO !!! 🌷🌷🌷 (hOLLAND)
I got to sing this with a choir. Unfortunately, it was in French. Nothing wrong with the language (I'm Canadian and huge advocate for better French education to bring our country closer together and make everyone here more cultured), but it's a bit more awkward to sing this one. I'm also fluent in Polish, so just in terms of pronunciation, Russian does feel more natural to me than French. But what an experience it was to have had the privilege to perform this!
Strong echoes throughout of Wagner - especially Tristan. A beautiful late late 19c language.

greatest symphony ever written
The first movement is one of the most immersive pieces I have ever listened.
09:11
This masterpiece should he performed much more often nowadays.
never play Scriabin since 40 years ago in my symphonic orchestra , sad !
One of the most beautiful Symphony of all time
✨✨✨✨✨
42:03 "Cast forth the moon, grants short lived fortune. Saluting the sun, yields eternal destruction."
Excellent and beautiful concert! Great orchestra, conductor, soloists, but the choir is a treasure with such passion and energy ! The production was great! Congratulations!!!
⭐🎖⭐
Classical music is like a toilet, whatever you put into it, you'll be sure to get out of it. Please put in thge effort and learn something new and different every day otherwise you will be learning crap.
No more Bruckner and Mahler, please so help me God! Tell our younger conductors and music directors to perform the Scriabin symphonies and tone poems instead. We need these works firmly cemented in the standard repertoire, plus they are much shorter and are not so overblown!
all the people over there playing are so beautiful. all these spanish. interesting.
This piece is so ahead of its time, in general all of Scriabins works are insanely progressive if you take a closer look. Amazing..
Deserves so much more regognition

Appreciate this pieces in the Scriabin late style! th-cam.com/video/mz5lSLvuUSc/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/nEOSPz9gB9s/w-d-xo.html This year, January 6 marked the 150th anniversary of the Birth of Alexander Nikolaevich Scriabin. He is the person closest to me and beloved by me in the whole world of art, a composer who immerses with his magical music into the worlds of "the highest refinement and the highest grandeur." Having deeply passed through all his work, I learned to thoroughly reproduce the elements of the Scriabin style. In particular, the style of the works of his late creative period, sounding extraordinary, otherworldly, mystical... Using specific means, first of all harmony (as well as texture and tempo), I can "scriabe" any piece, melody or motive accordingly, without changing at all or almost without changing the notes of the melodic line of the original. And despite the fact that in this case I didn't even change a single note of the melody of the original holiday song "Happy birthday to you" th-cam.com/video/nEOSPz9gB9s/w-d-xo.html , in the end it sounds completely different: now it's not a "home holiday", but the image of a nervous-impetuous strong-willed flame characteristic of Scriabin! Also I "enchanted" the famous Christmas song "Jingle bells" th-cam.com/video/mz5lSLvuUSc/w-d-xo.html into a figurative sphere characteristic of Scriabin: now it is the most refined cosmic longing, gradually ecstatically excited, and then melting away...
Slusam, a suze same teku niz lice kao klistali, jedna za drugom...
What a performance!!! One of the best symphony ever!

If you like this interpretation but find the singer's not up to the music, listen to, Riccardo Muti's recording of it. The Philadelphia Orchestra and the singer's are, Stefania Toczyska and Michael Myers. They are wonderful! It's a great recording.
Zaista veličanstveno!!!
Predivno !!!
Magnificent composition! Can’t believe I hadn’t even heard of it until a few months ago! Though I must confess the pronunciations of the tenor and mezzo soprano were a bit amusing. Clearly they aren’t very conversant with Russian!
Ashok And.....does it matter? First music and words.... secondly
Predivno 👏👏👏
Izuzetno!
It would have been great if the mezzo sang in tune. Even the occasional note would have been nice. A truly appalling performance from her and utterly painful to listen to. And to think this was broadcast. If anyone should be interested in hearing how it should be performed I respectfully suggest going to Prague in 2021 where it will be featured as part of a festival of Scriabin's music to mark his 150th birthday anniversary. I am going in the hope it gets this performance out of my memory.
totally agree! the occasional note would have been nice, to help us interpolate the correct tune :D
I am not a singer but I find it not so horrible. That are a micro differences or...? I have not listened the whole symphony yet. Tell me where is such a place? I find maybe her singing a little poor in terms of color and expression but these intonation problems hm..i can't find the place where she is complete out of tune. Maybe a little bit..Tell me, I want to learn.
"150th birthday [sic] anniversary [sic]" is a tautology. The proper usage is either "150th anniversary" or "150th birthday".
Hm..in begining of singing can I hear it. She had a bad day maybe :) but then better and better. Isn't it? Nobody another in comments says it..just one after you. Even Marković is smiling a whole time :-))
@@autodidact2499 You are correct, I must grant - each of the few times I've seen you correct others' posts. But is it really necessary to go about arrogantly correcting others' spelling or grammar? In a way, I am in sympathy with you. I'm a bit of a stickler for proper grammar, spelling, and so on, and it makes me wince a little when someone gets something wrong, especially if I think it should surely be easy to get it right. But what the...? It's not up to me to correct everyone else. People don't usually react well to being corrected, perhaps because they feel a bit humiliated, and they're not likely to like the person who corrects them. I decided long ago I didn't want to correct everything wrong I see if it's at the cost of alienating others from me. Some people may, through no fault of their own, have had less education, and so may not be able to produce a perfect piece of writing, and some people are in a hurry in their busy lives and may not have time for proof-readingi of their comments, or they may have poor physical dexterity which makes error-free typing very difficult. Some people not conversant with computers may not know how to produce the accented characters that you have found lacking in at least one post. Who knows? It's not for me to judge why someone else produces typing that may look careless or error-prone. Besides, however perfect I might privately think I am, I might one day be wrong in something - make a mistake I either don't know about, or that I forget to correct - it's happened many a time, despite my attempt to be careful whenever I write. And then it will be humiliating for me to be corrected if I have gone around correcting everyone else. I suppose you may not be like me in how you see this, and you must do what you must do. But I ask... is it really worth it to get disliked by people for the sake of being able to correct them? Personally, I don't think so.
Conductor showing his "Musin technique" I'd say... :-)
In these weird Coronavirus times, would it be unforgiveable yet again to perform it without the chorus, or even without the whole final movt, as happened in the premiere? It's too good not to perform for reasons of practicability!
Coronavirus will be history one day - even if it is still with us, we will just live with it like we do influenza, with annual vaccinations. As for the symphony, it would be far from ideal to perform it without the chorus or entire final movement, because it would be incomplete, and not as the composer intended it. I would not pay to attend a performance of it minus the final movement... any more than I would for Beethoven's 9th Symphony minus the final movement. The fact that, due to practical limitations, the first performance was without the final movement should not be used to justify doing likewise with later performances. The symphony is now well established as a 6-movement symphony with vocal soloists and chorus in the last movement, following a trend in choral symphonies that began with Beethoven, and I don't think a 5-movement performance would fly today.
Savršeno
