Hi there! Welcome to my channel.
I live in Sweden on the eastern coast, about 250km north of Stockholm. In a town called Söderhamn. This is a good place to live when it comes to landscape photography in Sweden. Because I have the same distance to the northern highlands as to the beech woodlands of the south. And that is what this channel is about. Me capturing Sweden. Eventually I hope I get to travel other countries and explore all of this worlds beauty. That is my passion. Capturing beauty. Through my camera.
In my videos I want to have a calm mood. Our lives are often so stressful. We keep a high pace in everything we do. I want my videos to help you slow down just a little bit. With that said. I do like drama. So there will be videos with higher pace as well :)
A little bit more about me:
I have a full time job as a CNC-operator. Basically I work with automated machines that mills, drills and threads. I do as much photography as I can on my free time.

Today I'm introducing a new series of videos called: Observations. I will do what I normaly do. Capturing photos and video clips. But I will reduce my interaction with the camera to almost none existing. It's a test. To see if that is something you would enjoy watching. The goal is for me to be able to make videos even when my energy and creativity is low. #nature #autumn #photography

Hi Thomas. Please keep the style that you already have on your videos. There are far enough tech reviews. The educational videos are maybe good for beginners, but they will soon reach a level where they do not need basic photo tips any more and will loose interest for the channel. At least, that is my opinion :) Best regards from Lillehammer, Norway
Hi Christer! Thank you very much for your feedback. Glad you like my style of videos. Have a great weekend. :)
Beautiful video. Gorgeous morning colours.
Many thanks David! :)
Hej Thomas! Ett trevligt "nedslag" i naturen. Härligt. Hälsningar från Hans-Olofi Sala
Hallå hallå! Det var det verkligen. Så skönt att vara ute i naturen. Ska ut igen till helgen. :)
Thanks Thomas! Beautiful to watch. Betting cold too!
Hi Bill! Yes, it was. But I had a lot of warm cloths. :)
Have the Nikon D800e takes great photos and so many secondhand lenses at a bargain price, here's a link to some interesting info on dynamic range th-cam.com/video/qpAJd8kYod8/w-d-xo.html
Väldigt vackert, högklassigt.
Tack så mycket Roland! :)
Great classic camera, thanks for sharing . I had one , loved it but sold it to get a D300 for better weather sealing and durability, same sensor and experience. I still shoot the D300 and D90 is still very capable, and an incredible bargain , I would choose a D90 over ANY of the Nikon D3000/D5000 series 🙏🙏, build quality is just much better.
Hello, Thomas! I've been watching your videos for several years now, and I really appreciate your work. I would like to see more videos about woodland photography and intimate landscape.
Hi Andrii! Glad you like my videos. I would love to do more woodland photography. Maybe it's time to do some scouting. Visit new locations. :)
Tack Thomas. 👍🌞
Thank you for tuning in to my channel Marek! 🙂
Lovely!
It was! Did wonders for my well-being. Just me, nature and my camera. 🙂
Very enjoyable! Incredible morning colours and so peaceful.
I needed that peaceful morning. Just me, nature and my camera. :)
@@ThomasRaskPhoto That's my idea of Valhalla! :)
Indeed. Also heaven on earth. 🙂
@@ThomasRaskPhoto Yes, that too! :)
Very calm and relaxing video. Just what I needed :) <3 (Wonder if the person on the ice knew you were in the bushes all camouflaged up :D )
Thank you Kenneth! I was in the birdspotting tower when I shot that clip. He came up to me and we talked for more then 30 minutes. :)
Thank you very much Stig! :)
Magiska bilder Thomas älskar vinter å kyla bilder 😀👍
Tack så mycket Peder! Tråkigt nu med tö-väder. Hoppas vintern kommer tillbaka igen. :)
User experiences is monumentally important for many photographers. Wonderful talk, educational, and I appreciate your subjective thoughts and opinions. Subjectivity is everything(!) , either you love the camera... or you never carry or use it. I thought I was 'smart' to move to MF3, G9, G90 with the tiny lenses and IBIS but I always have the nostalgia and longing for the user experience of my Nikon DSLR and still have my: D7100, D810 and will never part with them. They make me smile like mirrorless never can.
Really love your on location videos. Also enjoy the calm and relaxing music. Great way to learn more about photography. Thank you.
Glad you like them! Thank you for your feedback. Have a great weekend. :)
Tack igen. Ha en bra dag! 😀
Tack detsamma Thomas.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Another lovely video Thomas. I really liked the sun glancing off the ice covered pebbles at 11:20. Keep the content just as you feel like making it. There’s always a bit of variety to keep viewers interested. One thing not to change is the peaceful nature of your output - it is very much appreciated.
Thank you very much David! Your feedback really helps me. :)
Great video, your videos are always very relaxing to watch in the quiet outdoors
Thank you very much Donald! :)
I enjoy these on location videos. I also like your way of presenting the photos as you go. Keep up the good work🙌🏻
Hi Roy! Thank you for your kind words. :)
Dear Thomas, Please go on this way (not the latest minimalistic photographs - the bubbles). For the rest: please go on. I enjoy this kind of vlogs/videos the most. 👍👍👍.
Hi there! Thank you for your comment it really helps me. Have a great day. :)
Hoppas du hittar några guldkorn bland dina gamla bilder. :)
its beautiful
Winter is indeed beautiful. :)
I like this type of video very much. Simply enjoying being out in nature and looking for photo opportunities. There are way too many "how too" videos. One, I just watched where the photographer took a beautiful photo and said the image didn't work because the foreground was weak. If a photo is not a "portfolio photo" so what? Not every image is, and there is nothing wrong with making photos if it is not a portfolio image. First, and foremost is being out in nature and with your channel, that comes across clearly. Thanks for sharing your experiences and images from Sweden. Also it is great to see local photography. One could quickly get the impression you need to travel to iconic places (like Iceland) in order to do great photography. That certainly is not true. Please keep doing what you are doing. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much for your comment and feedback Kerry. It helps me a lot. Thank you. :)
I Absolutely Agree!! I'm not a fan of how to videos.. this kind of video is perfect... Great Video! You earned my subscription!
Hi Billy! Thank you and welcome to my channel. :)
I like the kind of videos you make. They also gave me a glimpse of Sweden's beautiful natural landscape.
Glad you like them! Thank you for your feedback. :)
Beautiful light at the end. Makes it worth getting out of bed while it's still dark :) I think review videos have long ago reached the saturation point. I really enjoy your videos with you doing what you do. The videos you put out also have to be enjoyable for you to make so I say make yourself happy first and the rest will take care of itself :)
Thank you Mike for your feedback. Whenever I think about doing other types of videos, like reviews or photography tips, I feel a huge "resistance" in my mind. So I'm glad you enjoy my on location videos. 😀
@@ThomasRaskPhoto Yes, if you feel that way about it there's no point in doing them. Would you get more clicks on your videos if you did? I'm not sure but would that be worth it if you weren't happy doing them? For me it wouldn't.
No, you are right, it's not worth it. I'd rather just do what I feel like. On location videos. :)
@ I agree!
Hi Thomas, I like the " freshness" and uniqueness of each outing in the nature - also your curiosity and joy is quite enjoyable , and yes , your pics. and video style is delightful. Looking forward to your future postings. Cheers !
Thank you very much for your kind words. Have a great day Sorin! :)
Thanks for braving the cold for us! Loved all the snow patterns and textures.
It was a great morning. Sadly, today monday, it's going to be +5 celsius. All the snow will melt away...again!
Super video!
Thank you very much! :)
Hej Thomas! Hälsningar Hans-Olof i Sala
Hej Hans-Olof! :)
just stick with what your doing, there are enough reviews out there
Thank you very much for your feedback. :)
great location videos. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it Patrick! Thank you for tuning in to my channel this week. :)
Cold and beautiful!! Betting the rocks get slippery too! Stay warm!!
Thank you Bill! My new "Ice bug" boots really helped with the slippery rocks. :)
Fina bilder i kylan. El-vantar ser ut att fungera bra. Hade nog behövt sådana i lördags.
Hej Gunnar! :)
Yes I enjoy on location photo shooting. keep up the great work
Thank you very much Patrick! :)
Great time by the icy water ❄️👍

I heard differently that at 200mm corners are NOT sharp anymore so you just more like paid advertising here
Mine is very sharp all the way to the corners.
I like your location videos!
Hi Karen! Thank you for the feedback. :)
I prefer the on location style of video thanks
Hi Kevin, thank you for your comment. :)

Thank you very much David! Happy New Year! :)
Beautiful as always.👏 Tack Thomas.🌞
Glad you enjoyed it! Happy New Year Marek! :)
Happy New Year Thomas , some great shots and video there , one suggestion I have that I think could make some of them even better is if your camera was lower to get better foreground interest and depth , especially with the rocks .
Happy New Year Derrick! I agree that I don't go low with my camera that much. I'm lazy :) My idea with the stones and high tripod was to get maximum seperation between stones. :)
Happy new year! Glad to see normal people doing normal things thats all! ;) Cheers!
Happy new year! Hehe, glad you liked my video. :)
Happy New Year, Thomas ! Good to se you out and about in the splendid and serene nature reserve. Nice pics , thank you for sharing.
