This video is absolutely incredible !! It deserves way over 100k views. Outstanding work !! 💯
Thank you my friend!!!
Don’t know what settings you were at in your Mojave in this video but when someone mentioned you didn’t have front lockers may I make a suggestion to try? With your rear lockers engaged and in 4 lo press the off road plus button. Curious if that will help with making the bld work more aggressive on the front differential. It claims it does vs not having the off-road plus button on. Some have claimed the bld doesn’t work with the lockers in but thinking the Mojave would be configured a bit differently since it doesn’t have a front locker. If that doesn’t help I again would be curious on turning off the rear locker with the off-road plus button turned on and see if it does better. Just a thought! Great content!!
Was this the Steel Bender loop combined with the Flat Pass Route?
Yep! Didn't get off the trail until after 5. Long day but worth it!
Lol I have 3 of your 10. Metal Cloak rear swaybar reinforcement.... Red Rock bed rails... Bullet Point mounting. Loved all 3 but now I have a 24 Rubicon so no longer using the RedRock rails. Going to check out the overhead Molly for mine too. Great list of practical items for the Gladiator.
Nice!! Yeah years later it's all still very useful.
Love colorado
Yes!!
Looking for something you can tow with a 2 door jeep wrangler and this feels like a lightning rod on wheels 😳 🤔 No thanks
LOL! Not for everyone for sure
Your code don't work. Lol
Love the beat music soundtrack.
Ouch. Mojave is screaming lol. Rubicon time. Grab one while they are on fire sale.
LMAO
You guys are fortunate to have experienced Titus Canyon before all of the flooding. Latest estimate is that it won't open before 2026 sometime.
Wow no kidding?!
8:20 trail actually starts, your welcome
Is that engineer pass ?
Nope this is Spring Creek outside of Denver
I regeared my F-150 two months ago with 4.88 gears and 38-inch tires, thinking it'd boost my MPG. But honestly, it's been a letdown. I've gone from getting 12-13 MPG with the stock 3.55 gears to a dismal 9-10 MPG. Now I'm regretting the upgrade, especially since my gas tank range has taken a hit - I'm lucky to get 250 miles before needing to fill up again.
Yuck!
What suspension and tires are you using on your Mojave?
These days we're on a 3.5" MC lift and 37's wrapped around MT Baja Boss AT
@ right on! Thanks for the response. I’m contemplating doing this trail in a few weeks but I just have a 2” lift and 37s on my Rubicon Gladiator. I do some hard trails with it but drag the belly a lot. I have full skids luckily!
My wife and I drove from Texas to sample the Jam Pot's wares and it was worth the trip! We fell in love with the UP and Copper Harbor and have now made two trips up there. We're planning a third, this time with a travel trailer so we can fully explore the area. The UP is absolutely gorgeous and not to be missed!
Agreed!!!
Not sure if I can recommend them as have sent three requests on the status of my order and it’s been 2 1/2 weeks now with no response and phone number I found doesn’t work.
That's really unfortunate. We stopped recommending them because we get non-stop comments just like yours.
The French press stem comes apart. I just got one and I take it apart when storing it.
I also have a Mojave and we know it does not come with a front sway bar discconnect. Your jeep looks like you have something to allow for full flexibility of up front. I am curious what you used ?
Apex AutoLYNX - they are quick disconnects for the front sway. Been running them for many years now with zero issues. highly recc
Thank you for the video from a fellow Mojave owner…. In Texas even. Just got back from an off-road park and I am hooked… been shopping parts ever since 😂
Nice!!!
Where is your group from? I take 50 to get back home always.
Colorado Springs!
I love this adea!!! Lake City is such a cool town to visit. The area is complete beauty. Silverton is pretty cool too
Lake City is such a cool town!
Just came across your channel. Awesome video. My kind of group. I'm from Kansas and make a camping trip every summer out to Colorado. Always like getting new places to explore. I'm excited to watch more of your videos.
Thanks man, welcome to the channel!
Words of advice, only one spotter at a time should be talking.
bro you should deff buy your wife a custom kitchen knife, i know a guy haha
Hey we are looking at doing this. Can you share you’re route details?
I’m scared to go on my first trip after this lol I guess the rock was too wet in the beginning. Would bead locks and 5 psi done different? I guess I’ll have to stick with the seven trails and below. That sideways sliding into the tree is messed up. I bought all the belly skids from Arctic and other skids from other companies for the control, arms and differentials. The rock slider steps, but still can’t stop certain things from happening unless maybe winching from the get go
LOL being scared is a good thing! It keeps us in check and prevents us from doing stupid shit. Lower tire pressure could have helped, we were at 12 on our oem wheels. At the end of the day it's a risky hobby!
@@FarFromOrdinary I was looking over the trail ontrails off-road, So that sliding sideways hill has a bypass looks like? I'll have to see one day when I go if it's wet to bypass it. Only going to try if dry. I don't mind taking much longer with my trails and doing things to proactively thinking ahead to avoid damage. If I had a beater built Jeep or other rig, I could care less what it hit but my baby Im getting till I die and it's a priority to not hit any body panel. Im ok with the fenders flairs I can replace those and will be putting on all the aluminum full skids this year and the other skids under. I'm thinking if I were to slide sideways to stop before and go straight to the winch but in this case it tree was to the right so would need to deal with that. I have one donut pulley in my kit so I would need to maybe set that up to pull more to the left if there was a other tree
You forgot something very important. You need to be monitoring your Jeeps Tire Pressures in your RV as your towing the Jeep down the road.
Great tip!
Could a stock 4runner with good tires do this trail?
Oh 100%!
Have you regeared with the larger tires? Did you notice a huge performance/mileage drop?
Nope we never regeared when we moved to bigger tries and honestly didn't notice a huge drop. We eventually had a tuner put on it and that helped A LOT
Do you have a video of motorhome walkthrough, details on the build?
I have the overhead molly panal on my JKU, installed myself, love it but it has a minor issue, it does rattle ever so slightly
Oh thats a bummer! We haven't experienced that with ours yet. Everything else rattles LOL
@FarFromOrdinary that's a fact, but there are minor sacrifices for a go anywhere vehicle. It's an off road vehicle modified for on road use
I’m taking my first trip to Colorado next year. Going to be meeting up with some buddies that I’ve wheeled with from around the country. What would you say the minimum to get a rubicon gladiator through this trail is. I’m currently on a 2.5” aev dualsport with 35s and have plenty of experience wheeling over the last 30 or so years. I also know that video never does a trail justice and this one looks rough haha.
I think you'll make it but you'll definitely pull cable more than once. We struggled! And at the time were were on 37's and a 1.5" puck lift. Our gladiator then, and yours now, probably sit about the same. Good luck!!!
@ I figured as much. A front locker would have gone a long way for you guys too haha.
Do you mind sharing how long it took you to get to dead man point from the main road if you remember?
I dont remember the time but I do remember that it took a couple of hours! Will likely be a lot faster when not in a group though.
Stinkers! But that candle Idea is a good idea- candle light meetings are essential to where I am today. Last time I'd been involved with the creation of a spiritual based candle light meeting, the church I rented the room from required that I used LED flicker lamps... it never took off. Maybe if I could have assured them that I had self extinguishing candles.... if they dumped over or wouldn't stay lit for more than two hours? No matter... get back on the trails soon- that's spiritual too! Wheeling therapy! Weeee!
Yeah we miss the trails too! Thanks for being a fan Billy!
@FarFromOrdinary I moved out to the wild, wild west (near Mojave, CA) they have massive trails here, ya-hoos coming out every weekend with their toys, but no 4x4 garages. The shop I came out here to work in left me high an dry. Next year, after the change of the administration, i think I might start a rescue/garage service to get those poor schmucks back home.
Awesome rig and awesome story. Still trying to convince my wife to let me build her LX into something like this 😅
Good luck with that! haha
ya. where you ben 😂😂😂
Hey guy's, we were excited to see y'all back on the tube.. yall look great and I'm glad to hear the business is going well and yall are being blessed with it all!! I do miss seeing the off road videos and looking forward to when yall get back out!! We are going to order some candles from you guys, being toxic free defiantly struck our interest!! Take care and we will holler at you guys soon.
Thanks for the support Eddie! Miss you guys!!!
Good luck in your adventures where ever they lead
Thanks buddy!!!
Never will I subscribe to a channel which plays music over their presenter's voice. Please, turn off the background music! It is beyond me why TH-cam content creators think playing background music over the presenter's voice is somehow enhancing their videos. We came to hear you; we are not here to fight background music to hear you. The background music quickly becomes extremely annoying, distracting, and intrusive. Many folks have hearing difficulties, thus while concentrating on your dialog we must also concentrate on tuning out the music; it is very frustrating. Your background music ruins an otherwise exceptionally good presentation.
Go find another channel to watch.
@@FarFromOrdinary For the many folks with hearing difficulties your suggestion is spot on. We wanted to learn from you, however your suggestion taught us too much. Truly, and with much respect we wish you good fortune.
Great stuff guys ur little friend is cute.
Very helpful video great job 👍
dude. can you believe i drug my dauter through steel bender in a bone stock 16 rubicon😂😂😂
use 2 swags on a stretcher each...... 3 min set up, cheap and comfortable, put them under the awning. The young fellas will like it.........or not hahah. downside of swags is the bulk for storage and limited headheight for changing 9or sitting upright in them. basically I always viewed those FFC as a tent on a trailer, not much different to a RTT, But the RTT will 1/10th the cost.
How exactly does an underwater trail work?
How did you mount your traction boards to the front panel?
Bath covered bridge? another really long one.
That’s what she said?
Gorgeous.
where was that trail at ?
