My fear would be getting stuck alone in the middle of no where...having had it happen while living in BC while out exploring some forestry roads north of Chilliwack...it is something that has stuck with me ever since. I'm so glad your channel came on my feed. I was on Vancouver Island visiting for 10 weeks. I left 2 weeks ago and headed back to Ontario, my home base, via the Trans Canada Highway. My plan is to go back to Vancouver Island next year when I finish my Snowbird travels in the united states. I didn't have any time to go to the north of the island because I spent most of my time in nanaimo, Parksville and that vicinity. Looking forward to watching your videos :-)

Thank You for following along🙂! Glad you enjoy our videos. The Island is incredible and there is so much to explore. We'll head up North Island in September for 2 weeks and are really excited about it. It is very different up there. We're also hooping to do a trip across the country in the future, it's one of our bucket list items. Enjoy the warm weather down south 🙂 All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏

I love old planes, the footage was awesome! Cool water filter and a great demonstration! 😂 Seeing that search and rescue helicopter made me glad I got myself a Zoleo this year, I have a bit more peace of mind. Loved the beaver!

The SAR may just have been training, hopefully. We have not heard of any missing persons since we got back. The Zoleo certainly gives peace of mind, especially when you are out kayaking on those massive lakes out there. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏

That Water Bomber was very special to people in our community, and it will be missed. Even though it had been retired for a while, there was always a sense that it would still protect us in the event of a wildfire. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏

A little more than 20 years ago there was a fire at Thetis Lake and the Mars water bomber was scooping water out of Esquimalt near the base and flying directly over my house on its flight path to the fire. I was dripped on as it flew low and slow overhead! I have that same battery powered faucet. It works okay as long as it is on a solid level base. It is designed to fit tightly over the blue water jugs you turn over onto a cooler. ... and yes. We know what you mean.

It's just such an incredible plane, too bad it has been retired for so long. We got a new water jug and fortunately the electric faucet works perfectly on it without tipping over 🙂. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
