Apparently, these games were so good, that Disney Interactive too thought so and released a bundle in 2010 that has both of these games on a single cartridge…in Europe. There’s not much difference besides DGamer functionality being removed due to Europe not having it. The games play the same, though its version Ride Again slightly lags when playing it in certain areas.

Basically: The first game is a lot longer since you need to collect many items to actually build the obstacle courses and upgrades (and sometimes do a lot of backtracking). To 100% the game, you need to get every single item, find Perry the Platypus in every level, beat all the record times for the race courses, and upgrade all the special items (even though there’s no reward in doing so besides the DGamer achievements). This can take hours or even days to do, and there’s only one Perry the Platypus level. One nitpick I have is there’s a lot of Touch Screen use. Ride Again is still long, but there’s no more complicated Touch Screen use, there are more Perry levels, and there were released passwords so you can jump to whatever part of the game you want. There’s no incentive to 100% the main game since you NEED to get the upgrades to progress, but you can still do so by collecting all the treasures you find in each level, basically being little references to the original series.

This is a big improvement from my 1:25​, so I'm very happy with this. I actually got a 1:09:55​ originally but forgot to record it, so I had to grind for an extra 8 hours to get this record which somehow turned out better than the original run. Even though it worked out, I still wish I recorded the 1:09:55​ because it was a really tight sub 10, and seems a lot more appealing than this run's time. Either way, I'm still pleased with this time, as I made very few mistakes during the run.

I would put super fancy pants in #1 cuz i just love everything, the physics, the bosses, the combat (simple but with lots of mechanics, perfect), the visuals, so imo, its just too good for me, but chapter 2 aint coming and im sure about that 😭
