Camry Horn Upgrade

The 2005 Toyota Camry had a sad sounding quiet horn. We upgraded with the Hella Dual Tone setup. Are we Hot Boi certified with the new red horns?? Is it any louder?? Parts Used: amzn.to/3SFRbwG (Amazon)

Road testing the Mustang with new clutch and transmission!
It's 3 yrs later. Is it still working??????
Nope. Only got a couple extra cruises out of it. It is a 50 year old transmission. It was time for a refresh.
@@moderate_performance Good info! Thank you for sharing!
What is you don't have a sharp enough cutter to make a clean cut🤷

How much torque for the center pin bolt?
@@Lathan_salinas I went by feel because the listed torque spec broke the bolt. It's kinda hard to describe but I got it nice and tight and then put some force and got it to turn just a bit. The tension of the spring will hold the nut so you don't need to worry about it backing off. Also, the axle u bolts will hild the spring pack together. Hope that helps.
How has the system been running?
It has been running great. The only "issue" is that if you go full throttle with 1/8 tank, it will stumble. We think this is because the fuel pick up is at the front of the tank and the acceleration sloshes the fuel to the rear and starves the electric pump. A baffled tank would solve to problem. We just keep her topped up.
Awesomeness
What about the bearing grease though??? I do like this trick. And why isn't there a chart that would be for the same swap everytime? Say if I was swapping out the stock differential in a dana 35 yj to a 4.88? Hasn't it been done so many times that there would be a standard/chart of how many shims??? Instead of crawling around ..
@@jedhatcher252 no grease needed. Diff fluid lubricates the bearings. There are too many potential variances between diff cases and ring and pinoins to make a set in stone chart for shims.
@moderate_performance alright 👍.
@moderate_performance is there a kinda standard starting point with the shims?
Can you please link where i can find the kit
this is going to be the color on my 90s mini truck HAHA!
Nooooooo! Don't do it! It's a trap! 😂
Hello I’m looking for a drop kit for a 1993 ford 4x4 would something like bell tech work??
Belltech only lists rear shackles for the 4x4. The front i beam setup makes things complicated. DJM make dream beams but they are for 2wd only. I think your only option to lower the front is to cut the springs
Yeah the cheap easy way is get a metal non chopped key cut. Put it in ignition and reverse the key you want to learn (metal outwards) put chipped on top of metal key while it programs. Ez!
Are there holes in the baffles in both from either end or only one end?
Both ends.
is that only a 3/4? looks a lot lower
That is what they call the 3/4! I am glad it is that low.
Good video. Should have shown the shim that goes under the bearing. 😁👍
I use mine all the time, break it loose with the breaker bar and finish it off with the impact drill. The drill won’t break it . Also starting the lugs with the drill and then tighten it up with the torque wrench
It says "adapter". "Impact" came from your fertile little brain.
Good for zipping a fastener most of the way down and final torquing with something else, bar/torque wrench etc
But I like my neighbours….
No you don't
Brrrraaaappppp!!!!!
Guilty for using on lug nuts at home (limited tools). Had a cheap “power fist” brand and worked for 3 years. But now I’ve changed to a breaker and then this adapter to spin the off and on
All my bits cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
I use this shit every day :D
I'm an auto mechanic. One day I'll find a use for it lol
holding one in my hands right this second xD
Yeah that shaft is gonna be one time use but if you live in the rust belt you already know what you need this for
I know
That has no place in automotive but i can see how that would be a game changer in construction
Nah, anyone with a brain uses a drill and just uses an impact for things like self tapoing screws in metal or just ugga duggaing some 2" generally purpose t25 screws. Most applications work much better with a drill.
Umm ive used this for the summer here. And never going back. Impact does its job on screws and bolts the same :D
yeah the impact sure will do its job, your bits however. yikes.
Looks like an adaptor for a bell drill and the small hex for the centerdrill
Useful if the ring in the impatct driver gets too lose
I have one 🤣
In the 1990s we used this to spin off/on plastic Lugnut Covers., also puts lugnuts back on as they need Torqued later anyways
I’m using with a drill or something, not an impacting driver.
Yeah, if I need a 1/2 drive i am grabbing the big impact. If I don't need it for the torque I am just grabbing a ratchet and adapter.
Who cares if it snaps ya need it ya need it
Yeah I’ve snapped a couple pushing it to its limits.
Is it possible it's made for those hand held impact drivers you strike with a hammer. They're usually 3/8 or 1/2 drive with bit sockets. Those sockets normally are 5/16" hex but I could see wanting to use cheaper and more readily available 1/4" hex bits.
Ah. Yes. That's where I've seen it before!
I use one regularly to set ledger locks keeps me from wearing out my little impact for repeated 5 inch bolts
It should, i have a makita that has a hex hole down the middle of the 1/2
Stop making fun of it. It can't help the small shaft. 😁
they snap on lug nuts on wheels, i just need to ditch the driver and get an impact wrench
Great looking truck!
Does this suspension system work on a ford expedition 2000 4x4?
If the front is torsion bar suspension it should. The expedition is based on the F150. Is the rear Coil springs or leaf springs?
@@moderate_performancesorry didn’t see that you commented back but I have coil springs in the rear and I wanted to go a 3/4 drop also I wanted to ask what’s a good drop kit if I wanted a 3/4 drop
I need it!
What size tire did you run with this drop on the harley wheels? And did you have any rubbing?
No rubbing issues. The Harley's are 275-45-20. The winners are 1 inch taller tire and still no rubbing.
Winter Rims Get A Fresh New Look th-cam.com/video/euxvHu5fJpU/w-d-xo.html
what is the bit your using???
I think it’s a torx T27. It’s been awhile though. A common one is #3 Phillips
@@moderate_performance ya i tried the t27 and striped it out. got a t30 used it on other side took it right out . other was striped so bad the t30 wouldn't bite. ended up drilling it out. 😑
@123richza I’ve had to do that many times. Good thing they aren’t totally necessary
I did this install 2 years ago and have found an issue. The the steering wheel spins with the hub. As the hub turns, the horn wire that passes through the hole in the hub must spin with the hub. So, you have the hub, horn wire and steering wheel turning together. Eventually, the horn wire gets wrapped up behind the hub and gets pulled tight. The horn wire eventually breaks. I think this is why NRG supplied that long red wire that you cut. It leaves plenty of slack inside of the hub so the wire never gets bound up and pulled tight and eventually breaking the wire. I'm interested in your thoughts.
Did you have to remove the torsion bar?
If you watch from 6:30, I remove the torsion bar cross member because the torsion bars did not want to come out of the control arms.
Damnit man!!! Flowed all Day!!!! 👍🏼🤙🏼
What hub number is that?
