Genuinely this video made me grasp my heart in such ways you don't know, I've watched from the beginning where you had struggles and were naive to everything in Japan to now have grown so far to learning so much Japanese is absolutely insane, how did you manage to learn it? Through school or any online systems? I genuinely want to know, i hope one day you can return and even move there, you deserve it

Do you have any plans to live in Japan again? or would you at most just want to visit it again? Also, how well would you say you speak Japanese now? I mean, it seems like you're pretty decent at speaking it, and while it seems like your Japanese is far better than my Norwegian was when I was the language in Norway, I also realize how much more difficult it is to actually carry a conversation with someone in a real setting. Are you able to carry on a conversation in Japanese? or is that still fairly difficult? Just curious, cuz I've thought about taking the plunge and learning, but I've also heard that it often takes several years to get to the conversational level, and especially so, if you're coming from Western languages. I've heard the grammar for Hindi is quite similar to Japanese, making it easier for them for example.

Hi Athen. I don’t even know where to start. But I wanna say I’m proud of you, I know most the emotions you felt while you were at Japan. I’m lucky to have family and friends in Japan so I can’t say I felt the loneliness but I understand the frustration of not being able to do anything without much difficulty. I’m proud of you for sticking through the journey and I want to say your Japanese is good, it’s better than mine 😂 and I have fluent Japanese family. This was my first video I’ve seen by you but I felt almost all you were saying. Thanks for the video. You earned a subscriber👍🏼

I can't stress this enough, but if anyone is planning on going to Japan for the long road (more than 1 month) it is an absolute necessity to have a strong grasp of Japanese so the "frustation/culture shock" doesn't hit that hard, but I'm really glad u pushed through and enjoyed the rest of your time in Japan! Keep up the good content, you gonna reach big things!!

Just binge watched so many of your videos, your vids are legendary. And I just want to say, you WILL become the TH-camr that you want to become, there’s no way it won’t happen, it’s just a matter of time ⏰ In fact, you already are that TH-camr that you’re wanting to become, you just don’t happen to have that number that reaffirms that to yourself, yet… Anyone that asks you if you’re a TH-camr, you should give them a resounding “yes”, because when they look past that 6k subscriber count, your content is on another level. TH-cam only recommended your videos to me today, that should tell you that we (the subscribers) are on the way 👏🏼 Let’s goooo

I've been living here for almost 8 years with my Japanese SO. Don't move to japan without a plan and learn the language beforehand. It will make your life a lot easier for everything and especially making friends. Love the video and love how you highlight it's not all rainbow and sunshine in Japan. A lot of unhealthy obsessed anime fans need that reality check

It's definitely cringe if you say "baka" the way they do in anime, and you're gonna look super dumb if that's the only word you know when coming to Japan, but i dunno if i'd call it a "cringe word' and just that some foreigners who use it are cringe. cuz "baka" is just a real word outside of anime, so it depends how you're using it. if you're not saying it weird in an unnatural way and it suits the situation just fine, it's a totally fine word to resort to.

This actually made me cry. Its just so bittersweet. It has been an awesome journey. It's a pain to see you go. I'll really miss the Japan content and I can't wait to see what you will do now. You are one of, if not the most underrated TH-camr. The effort you put into your videos is immaculate. Even though you only have 6000 subscribers, we all love you a bunch. There are literally almost no Japan TH-camrs that do what you do. Show the real life. The others only show the good part and what you can do. I want to see what happens and who you will meet. I hope you have a great time with your family again!
