Reacting to Reactors Reacting does exactly that: entertain you by examining TH-cam reactors and their reactions to some of your favorite songs. Do they get it? Did they miss important sections? The main goal of this channel is to catch the moment others fall in love with music we already love.
I do not profess to be someone who catches bars, as a matter of fact, many go over my head. What's important to us is how a song makes us feel, right? I've sung the wrong lyrics to songs for DECADES. Sometime I find out the meaning to a song well after having loved the song for years. None of this really matters to us, we feel songs more than listen to them.

Electric Light Orchestra - Don't Bring Me Down REACTION!!! | reacting to reactors reacting
In this video, reacting to reactors reacting reacts to ELO's 1979 hit, Don't Bring Me Down.
From wiki: "Don't Bring Me Down" is the ninth and final track on the English rock band the Electric Light Orchestra's 1979 album Discovery. It is their highest-charting hit in the United States to date.
It's a great big galloping ball of distortion. I wrote it at the last minute, 'cause I felt there weren't enough loud ones on the album. This was just what I was after.
- Discovery remaster (2001), Jeff Lynne
"Don't Bring Me Down" is the band's second-highest-charting hit in the UK, where it peaked at number 3, and their biggest hit in the United States, peaking at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also charted well in Canada (number 1) and Australia (number 6). This was the first single by ELO not to include a string section. Engineer Reinhold Mack claims that this was his idea, after Lynne did not know what they should record next, and that he encouraged Lynne to "just boogie out for a night."
The drum track is in fact a tape loop, coming from "On the Run" looped and slowed down and then sped up; Mack recalls that Bevan was not interested in joining in the jam session that helped create the song; Mack decided to use a drum loop, and Lynne asked Mack to change the speed of the loop tape. After developing the drum tape loop, Lynne composed the music on a piano and then developed the lyrics about a girl who thought herself better than her boyfriend. The instruments do not include strings. Lynne said "This was the first song I did without any strings. It was exciting to work with them when we started, but [after] six albums, I got fed up with them. There was also trouble with the unions. They’d stop playing before the end of the song if the end of the hour was approaching. Now they aren’t so rude since there are samplers and everything."
The song ends with the sound of a door slamming. According to producer Jeff Lynne, this was a metal fire door at Musicland Studios where the song was recorded.
The song was dedicated to the NASA Skylab space station, which re-entered the Earth's atmosphere and burned up over the Indian Ocean and Western Australia on 11 July 1979.
On 4 November 2007, Lynne was awarded a BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc) Million-Air certificate for "Don't Bring Me Down" for the song having reached two million airplays.

I've been in your shoes, reacting emotionally to songs that are meaningful to me. Level 42's songs also have that very nostalgic quality since they are firmly planted in the 80s. I'm not normally a fan of reaction videos but it was nice to see your genuine emotions on display.
Can you imagine how many people have missed the connection between Stevie and Lindsey?

24000!
This song reminds me a lot of Bobby Caldwell, and also a lot of Sting.
My reaction @ you is no ty
This song was epic when it first came out. I thought she was so good looking when I was a kid. lol. This song is still a banger to this day with so much funk.
I am so here for your reaction, you understand the assignment! This song is one of the best love songs every written but younger kids don't get it. I'm 54 and have a 16 year old daughter. She gets it! She loves this song. You are 100% correct, studio version is way better, more in your face and impactful! I LOVE how you love this song
I watch Swaggy for his joy, not his in-depth analysis. He just makes me smile while listening to goo songs. That's enough.
Love your reaction to the reactions. You are very invested and kind. Talking about the non (first) transition of BoRap, Freddie can do that. March of the Black Queen builds up and up and up and then suddenly drops you into “A voice from behind me”. Such an interesting choice because Queen are masters of the smooth transition. My favourite part of BoRap is the gong. One reactor sneered “how 70s”, but I get an immense hit of completion and satisfaction when that gong rings out. I have even been known to go back and listen to it a second time! I can remember when STL video dropped. Being non-American it was my first introduction to gospel! I can remember feeling very confused as to why a pop group - Queen were doing such weird stuff. So I liked it (the voices wow) and didn’t like it all at the same time.😀
Queen never wanted to play BoRap live - that’s WHY they made the ground breaking video. But I guess public demand etc… Loved your raised eyebrows and emotion. I still miss Freddie too. ❤❤
They were awesome
Bro, Check out the Reaction video to Level 42's "Something About You" by Rob Squad Reactions. You'll love their reaction to this fantastic, timeless song!
the very ending is brilliant...pity it isn't appreciated...
Youth??? Enjoyed you ripping him on this masterpiece.
Billy Vera 1000 ❤❤❤ - 2 Sisters very annoying and silly - looks like the one was having seizures 🙄😬 You 1000 for sitting through this cringe ❤😂
Every thing Manilow does is awesome come on!
Great idea reacting to reactors reacting. Enjoyed watching with you!
This is my favorite of them!🤘🤘🤘
Fun fact that both men had solos in the 1985 " We Are The World " song. In the video standing next to each other. Steve's solo was right after Kenny's solo.
The lead guitarist was Pat Benatar's husband, Neil Geraldo.
Tragic that this singer Brad Delp took his life not too long after this! Great vocals and one of their biggest hits.
I get they make u stop. But it drives me nuts. And she talks whole time
Highly recommend another Level 42 song - "Children say!"
I was in the fifth grade when this song came out. Loved it immediately. As an adult it is my favorite song. The sound is amazing as are the lyrics... "These changing years they add to your confusion"... Makes perfect sense to me now, makes me kind of happy and cry at the same time. I love your passion for this band and their music. Peace
We can see a classic scene with this song, in the first episode of TV show "Miami Vice" (in 1984)
OK...now I'm starting to worry about you!
great analysis.... unfortunately a lot of the younger crowd don't get it... don't feel it... don't catch all the details that make it great. but i was surprised by "Ashley Reacts" reaction to Too Much Heaven, would be curious to know you think of her on that one?
Ler me tell you, there is😮 sombody in germany that that understands you really!
You have great taste in music that song brings back so many memory's my daughter was about 6 months old when the song first came on the radio thanks for your video
I've seen the music video to this song so many times that I can see it in my head even if it's not on screen.
They have been a favorite of mine since college! I saw them in Buffalo, NY 1986. They bring back great memories! There are many more reactions you can react to in three years.
Great band and love your honesty
Great song. They did have other hits; especially Lessons in Love. The lead singer is one of the world's best bass players; as you already know.
Pick the best people to have around you and then everything will be better.
In my youth, I didn't pay any mind to this song. Now that I'm in my late 50's, It's possibly the perfect song, in my opinion
Bro, that bass face for the last section of the song...you are me at that very moment every time I hear this great song.
I AGREE WITH YOU❤😊
Yeah he does , but he just can’t believe it’s that good ,
Thank you for reminding me of my fathers shoes, and oh lord i forgot you didnt include hot water wowza
Your lead up story to choosing this song as your number one alone deserves the top of the kist . Thank you for sharing it - fantastic
Wowza i was at that 1986 wembley concert bought the video after and wore out the vcr then the cassette version then the album !! I remember bizarely mark king being hoisted above the stage whilst playing bass off to see them for the 12th time at the end of the year at the indigo at the O2. Spent 17 years in the usa so making up for lost time since coming back 14 months ago . Have seen the boys twice since returning . Love your passion and reactions, top notch
Best live performance ever
