That was the best cooking show ever! ❤❤❤
Haha thanks. It took so long to cook though. I was a bit drunk by the end😂
@stevenightingall4wdreconau599 I actually learnt a few cooking tips too but really enjoyed this.
Loved this Steven. Music is great too. Snowy mountain reminded me the Desert Road area.
Thanks Kim. Yes it’s a beautiful area. I’ll go back there for sure.
Great video mate thanks for sharing. Did you feel sorry for that other fella and bring him along for the ride.😉
Haha. Brother in Law. Didn’t have a choice!😏
What a stunning place!
My comment wasn't a criticism, just pointing out what I have read in all the literature that is around
You shouldn't take trailers on the CSR
Have you ever done the CSR?
Doing this year mate and it is recommended that trainers are not taken
Well if you have never done it maybe you should refrain from giving advice to those who have. I met with track a track maintenance bloke at well 46 who advised me that he has done the CSR 12 times and each time was with a trailer. It’s fine to take a trailer if it’s set up properly and especially if you are not traveling SOLO and have some to help you over the bigger softer dunes.
Keep the beard 😁
Hahaha. Thanks.
It's now a walk in only campsite. 10km walk and you need to bring everything, food, water even firewood. The following is from the NSW NPS website- No vehicle access It's a long, roughly 10km walk to reach Newnes campground. The campground is walk-in only because Wolgan Road has collapsed and there's a landslip risk at Wolgan Gap. Wolgan Road was the only vehicle access into the valley and is managed by Lithgow Council.
Wow. Thanks for the update. Hopefully they fix it soon as it’s a national treasure.
No time for people that kill everythingh that moves.
Why did Jerry cans burst? plastic or metal?
Steel Jerry’s. The lids burst off them from the extreme bouncing around in the trailer.
Thank you@@stevenightingall4wdreconau599
Stunning journey, Steve. We kiwis have no idea of the sheer size and distances of Australia…..
Wonderful video, found this video while researching my own trip into Oxley Wild Rivers National Park.
You going back to pick up your shit trailer and jerry cans
Great review mate. Very similar to my 200 setup. I love the lock up kit. Definitely the best mod for the 200. Have also fitted the Donaldson airbox now. Vey happy but hoping the horse hasn't bolted as far as dusting goes. Did you consider the arb gvm upgrade when you did your suspension. I have the 4015kg upgrade. Fully engineered and certified. Cheers Paul
Great video mate. What's the access like to Budds Mare campground, do you think a Forester would have enough clearance?
Thanks Ivana. Yeah should be no worries. Buddy’s Mare campground is at the top of the range with great views. You will only need a more capable vehicle to go down into the valley. Have fun.
@@stevenightingall4wdreconau599 Thanks for getting back to me Steve! I appreciate it.
Just discovered this video, really appreciate that you focus on the places and not on fancy gear. It helps me plan trips, thanks Steve. Subscribed!
did anyone bring the KF&C
2-3 man groups, sounds like Musorians to me 🤣 Great videos, enjoying all your content and am looking to conduct my own patrol of all these areas in the near future. 😉
Haha. Thanks Ed. I used to be a Cavalryman. Old habits I guess.
Awesome, as a grunt, hearing the sound of approaching bush taxis, sorry, bushmasters, always meant EndEx. Keep up the videos, they're 👍 👌
Awesome video, scenery and music. Inspired to go there sometime soon.
great vid! came over from your brother in-law's channel, I'm your 800th subscriber which is pretty cool
800! Haha. Wow that great. I think Nathan has 40.000 but hey. Glad you liked it mate. I’m looking to do another one on the Flinders Ranges soon.
Great series mate. I love the corner country. You high lighted a lot of its attributes and lot I haven’t seen yet. It make me want to go back again and again.
Thanks Kenno I’m heading back in that direction next week. Hopefully the roads are open. Flinders Ranges this time. Thats were Sturts map writer, John McDouall Stuart started out.
Top draw Steve….thanks a lot 👊💯
Thanks for the feedback Andrew.
Nice run down mate. Hopefully that new motor looks after you well for many years to come
Shame you couldn’t bring your rubbish out with you.
Thanks for the comment John. If you are referring to the trailer, I passed it on to a Unimog travelling in the opposite direction. So, I didn’t leave anything behind. Perhaps you could ask questions before making assumptions in the future.
Thank you for the video of the Canning Stock Route, this brings back so many wonderful memories of my own trip (with a tour company and other people) on the Canning In 1992. So many wonderful places on the Canning, my favorite being the Derba Hills and Springs, near Lake Disappointment, and Wyndich Springs. I was lucky that that year on the southern half of the Canning had a lot of rainfall and so there were lovely wildflowers everywhere covering the landscape in beautiful colors. The northern half did not have the rainfall so I could see how the Canning would normally look. An unforgettable adventure and one that people should undertake if they can.
Hi Oliver. Thankyou for your comments. I agree. That country is like nothing else. My only regret is that I didn’t take it slower and see and enjoy more of if. Hopefully it won’t be changed by human habitation so that we can enjoy it again at some time in the future.
God job mate ... Greatings from off road lover from Serbia ....
Good info. I was looking @ a second hand 200 series but not now 2 many people having problems like U had with the air filter box causing engine dusting the only way would B to buy new & fit the air box U fitted shouldn’t have 2 do that on a vehicle over $100.000. same airbox on the 300 series what happened about listening to your customers 🤔
Hi Jock Thanks for the feedback mate. Yes, Toyota have a reputation for not fixing issues like this. Same thing with the rear axle on the 79 Series. Good luck mate.
Turns out the Stone Gardens used to be Red Brick Buildings
??
@@stevenightingall4wdreconau599 A doco called when The Buildings Cried. Shows evidence these structures used to be buildings. Not nature formed like we were taught.
Ok Wow. Thanks for that. I’ll check it out.
@@stevenightingall4wdreconau599 No worries mate

Awsome video with amazing pictures
Bro ! I can’t believe she cut you off while you were cooking damper ! Who cares how many damper videos there are 🤦♀️
Haha. I know! Thanks for the comment.
Here from Edge of the outback. You luv your cooking, maybe a challenge to Harry from fire to fork!! Nice location and a good bit of tucker. Keep it up mate, gonna subscribe and see what else you get up to. Cheers Steve
excellent movie. nice country. I had a place on the other side of the big hill near Gloucester
Great video
Hi I like the review....... But 😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯why you did it, you total experience including the insurance abut $45000+ whatever car was worth it which I think the minimum with the engine problem at list $35000 why you didn't buy a new one?
Some nice country out there Nighty. Cheers Kempy 🍺🍺
Hey guys, nice video. I'm new to 4wding, just a few questions if you guys wanna give me some advice. I'm thinking to go there through watanga forest road all the way to the top, what pressure should I run on my tyres and when should I deflate them, I have a Pajero, should take me there, I hope so. Also where you guys using differential lockers in those technical parts at the end of the video, those tracks looked mad.
Gidday Sam For the Watagans I’d run my tyres at about 22psi in the back and 20psi in the front. Your Paj should be fine as long as you are not running road tyres. If it’s your first time I’d recommend you go with another vehicle that is equipped with recovery equipment including a winch though. Just take it easy until you are confident. Better to have fun than to break your car and get stuck up there. Also remember, there is no phone reception in most places up there. Good luck.
@@stevenightingall4wdreconau599 Awesome, thank you man. I'm running A/T.
@@stevenightingall4wdreconau599 Just watched this now, I dont want to hassle your vid. But knowing the Watagans very well, you showed your path as being only in Onley State Forest but most of the vid was north of that in Watagans National Park except in two spots I noticed. Right near the end you show 1 tiny section of wave rock road (heading northwest, just before the drop down 6:45) and 1 tiny section of Greens Break Rd (13min, heading the wrong way). Anyway, thank you for sharing.
Great video. Who makes that swing out tailgate table?
i saw one of edge of the outback one of there vid so then saw this i love 4wd love this vid mate
Thanks for the comments Isaac. I’ll try and make some more as soon as this COVID thing goes away.
@@stevenightingall4wdreconau599 yea cheers mate hopefully covid will stop and you can make some more good vids keep it up lots of love
Great series mate, looking at doing a similar trip in September if the QLD borders don’t open, I don’t think enough people document our beautiful outback so that’s half my reason for heading west, to show it’s just as beautiful as the coast 👍🏽 New sub, keep up the great work mate 🍻
Thanks for the comments mate. I genuinely enjoyed that trip and I hope you do too.
great vid. you mention output with your motor. been back through previous videos and unable to find anything for dyno. have you had one or are figures based on information received
Thank mate. I had a Dyno print out form when the chip was installed but after searching everywhere, I can’t find it. Sorry about that. If that changes I’ll send a copy to you.
The 6 speed trans is meant for the 5.7 v8.
Thanks for that mate. Makes sense
Awesome scenery mate, came from Nathan’s channel but instantly subbed because of content. Wish you luck mate.👍
Thanks Darren. Hopefully I’ll have some new content soon.
Beautiful
Thank you
Every morning can i see koalas
Gday Steve great video mate. I'm going to do this one next. Just wondering why you use chicken stock instead of beef stock? I'm sure it doesn't matter but just curious. Thanks.
G’day Paul Thanks for the nice comment. I guess you could use beef stock if you want to but I felt the it may over take the lamb flavour. Chicken stock is more mild in flavour and I wanted it to still taste like lamb shanks not beef. But, if you prefer a stronger meaty flavour, then by all means, go in with beef stock.
Hi, I haven’t watched all your video but I’m wondering why you needed a trailer ? I’m not being argumentative or anything but as a one person trip, with a pretty good vehicle, why did you need it ? Im planning a CSR trip in a year or two with a petrol 4WD and I wouldn’t even consider a trailer. Just curious. Cheers !
So you´re retired and now a lucky basterd
Much appreciated and many thanks for showing us those paradise views
From Mad Max to woop woop in less than 6 minutes is insignificant enough for me
Thank you,very enjoyable
