OOPS!! I melted the cat in my truck. Lets replace it and get the truck back to 100%.
After a year of usage and over 15,000 miles I'm happy to report that the part is still holding up and the truck is running great with no check engine lights or weird issues.
I don't have the part link but the brand I used was Walker.

how many mm are the springs short?
Might consider greasing your u-joints and replacing your carrier bearings.
What was the issue you were having before you fixed it like what was the problem what was your truck doing, what code did it give you as well.??

Your video is still relevant as most of us have recently bought a used F30 and looking into suspension mods. I always had great results with Koni & H&R springs on VW cars.
Where you got the b8s? Fcp euro doesn’t have them for f30

Weird but H&R said to use Bilstein b6s with H&R lowering springs not b8s.
Dude pleaseeeeeee put shock protective bellows on your suspension. Bilstein gets stiff when turning when exposed to the elements of nature.

Thank you for this video. Im about to put the exact same Walker cats in an identical truck (nice blue, BTW). I wonder how these cats have held up in the 9 months since you installed them? Also, did you use the same gaskets on the front and the back? Lastly, what are the specs for the fasteners you used in to connect to the muffler flange? Thanks again for the video SCA.
I put some cheap ebay cats on my tundra and the code came back. Di the Walker cats work for you?

Pass through sockets will allow top bolts on either mounts come off way easier and safer.. dangerous to use drill with maulgrips as could damage the shock interally

Thx to ur video I saved $700. Stealership wanted $1200 and local muffler shops weren’t much better. Spent $500 on parts & 2 hours in the driveway. Thx again.

I’d leave the old cat in your driveway for the thieves. Hopefully they stay away from the ones on your truck

Put on a bumper, ditch the dubs and it's perfect.
if the alignment is good after the installation, do you necessarily have to go get an alignment done?
Did you record this installation? I just bought bought the B8's with the H&R springs. I havent found install content for an Xdrive F30, only RWD. Mine is a 2013 335i xdrive. Do you really have to disconnect a lot more to get the front replacements in and out?

For some reason now when I click my paddle boys my car goes into sport mode and shakes like it’s gonna blow up is that an electrical fault? Discrepancy in the tutorial?

Thanks for being one of the only F30 xdrive owners to review the H&R sports! Every other video I find is of the rwd models and the super sport springs….can’t wait to get rid of the terrible stock feel of my 340i. I’ll have my springs installed in about a week and a half. Loved them on my MK7 R.
