1967 Buick Skylark Muncie transmission upgrade & install
Working on my Mother's 1967 Buick Skylark.
While driving something happened to the transmission. Been a while but it's getting fixed now.
The pressed in pin fell into the transmission making it not shift properly. I call Auto Gear and the walk me through what I need to do. They make stronger parts. So, I order everything that I need from them and install it.

I check out the Morongo Basin Search and Rescue - Desert Run 2023. This year it's a 41 mile track in Johnson Valley. As you go you hit 5 stations and you play a very short game and get a card. Whoever has the best card hand wins some prizes at the end of the event. I unfortunately didn't make it to the end. I think it's the lifters making the noise what do you think?

Gambling on a CoPart Auction, Engine for the 2011 Armorworks Hyena
มุมมอง 461ปีที่แล้ว
I was looking for an engine for my Armor Works Hyena. I put a last minute bid in and won a CoPart auction. I paid to have the truck shipped but the shipping guys fell through. Storage fees were adding up, so I hooked up my trailer and drove to Ogden, Utah. I'm taking a gamble on this truck engine working. The auction website said it had keys but it didn't. need call call around to see how much ...

Why are you decided on welding downhill, It obvious that you haven’t got a clue about welding or fabrication, Or you wouldn’t have attempted to start this process, The complete system will probably fail causing massive injuries or damaging equipment that being loaded.
Yes, the floor panels are all originals!
Thank you.
Nice work. Fantastic afro
Appreciate it
Nice ride, all you it needs now is a slam and camber!
Once you slam and camber your Jeep.
Coming at u live from America yeeeyee
You're back
I can come over and drive it weekly if need be. Just saying.
You have to ask her
My beautiful sister is famous!
Very biased towards Gazelle, waste of time to watch. If you want to pay an extra 200-250 for little nicer bag and silly removable floor,…… do it, and spend the big bucks for the gazelle!
Thanks for your thoughts.
Let's talk about WHERE you are camping at. Beautiful!!!
That would be Big Bear California.
Anybody that lives where it snows needs to put the angle iron treads on upside down so they can’t fill up and freeze into big slippery ice cubes.
Oh, that makes sense, thanks for sharing.
I'm in Canada and that was my thought on the angle facing up would trap water and rust out right away. The small drain holes would be plugged solid with gravel and mud all the time. Still a nice job tho
@@tazzthedoodle7861 Perks of living in the desert areas. Never even crossed my mind. Had a few storms no problems with water, but if there was ice I can see it filling up.
Due you have a parts list you used?
We used mild steel - Rectangle tubing 2"x 3" (3/16) Angle Iron 3"x 3" (3/16) Is this what you are asking?
@@goldies_garage THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY ,VERY HELPFUL , I WANT TO CONVERT A TRAILER I HAVE TO A DOVE TAIL AND RAMPS THANK YOU
@@goldies_garage yes
@@MountainOversize You're welcome, also we used a 4" C-channel for the end piece. not sure what size.
Ok.. where did you send it? or you figured it out yourself?
I sent mine to Speartech. I bought a new ECU from them so I figured have them marry them together. If you have the HP Tuners and a tune, you can do it yourself.
Just bought the amazon one today but different brand name lol got tired of my rtt😂
Wow, most go the other direction. Good luck, I really hope it works out for you.
How has your Amazon tent held up? Im considering buying it.
I have a few pin holes in the floor from the frame tips besides that no issues. going to be using it today and the next few days.
It’s a great value for the money, especially when on sale, paid 170 for mine, and love it!
Rigid tool's LSA is awesome!
What is the total length of your ramp including the dove tail
9 Feet total, 4 for the dove tail and 5 for the ramps
Fw the Afro
You need a cold saw. They are fantastic.
Just looked up what those are. That would be nice to have.
Nice addition to the trailer!! I would suggest making the ramps out of aluminum though so that they are lighter
That's a good idea, I SUCK at welding aluminum but I guess I can try.
@@goldies_garage Hey, they say practice makes perfect, right? You got it
You really need to secure your gas cylinders. If one should happen to get knocked over and break at the valve, you'll have a missile that can go through a block wall.
I agree, It fell already and took the welder with it. Now it has double straps. Everything still works. 🥳
Downhill welding? 🤔
If it works it works?😅
You bet. In fact for 1/4" wall or thinner, downhill is just fine for short circuit mig on low carbon steel and a decently competent operator.
This was very helpful. I have c6500 that I wannt to " dovetail" :) I understand sdditional weight of this but curious why you didn't add folding drop down ramps hinged to the trailer?
Thanks for the comment. We tried to keep it simple. We might mount the ramps to the trailer in the future if time allows. Really, if we made the ramps narrower and some thinner material it would be WAY easier to manage.
What’s the other truck?

Sorry you broke down out there. really stinks. Really cool of those guys to tow you out! I would throw some marvel mystery oil in there, I think it'll help that tick/knock to go away a little quicker.
Sweet, I'll give it a try
Looks great and very well thought out! How many hours you guys think you have in total building this?
About 20 hours though out 4 days.

Waterproof it call it a day.Retired Scoutmaster. All seams use Original Thompson water seal with a 1 in brush twice.Boys dome tents never leaked and they were cheap ones.If you see large holes in seams .Seam grip time.
Awesome, I'll look into it.
Good job
Nice vid but those angles are pretty sharp. Is the exhaust a tight fit? Made this mistake and have to redo my exhaust when I went over axle at 90* bend with sharp radius. Have a little too much back pressure with my motor
These were cut for my Hyena Project and I needed to route the exhaust away from future passengers. Hopefully no issues since I went larger from the Factory size.
Great video! Super informative!
Thank you, Glad you think so!
With the pie cuts, this actually seems pretty tackleable. Thanks Goldie!
Never would have thought of that myself. keep it simple, silly. Love it!
Over thinking is a project killer, Thanks for the comment

@@goldies_garage what was your problem with your transmission
@@desmondpayne9880 The electric switch wasn't connected right with the shifter. So when you would shift it into "D" the electric switch would stay in park. Took the valve body off and realigned them and it now works as it should.
