Back in 1966 we were getting ready to move to Ft. Wayne from Cleveland. I looked at a map, saw all the parks, and said "I'm gonna love it here". We are still here and still loving it. Loving the trail system. Loving the wonderful library. Loving the Philharmonic orchestra. Gonna stay here till we die.
@Neilsowards That’s amazing! It’s incredible how a place can feel like home for so many years. It sounds like Fort Wayne has a lot to offer, from nature to culture. I love hearing stories like this, finding a place you love and staying there for life is something special!
Be H0NEST we have the occasional DEEP snow sessions, we had one back in 2015 an 1978 Blizzard!~ tincups baseball suck, I know ppl who went to a game an was bored after 2 innings and left, u gotta like baseball enough to sit through that boring garbage, I will NEVER go there EVER!~ Want a good game, Komet Hockey is a good game to see at the Memorial Coliseum. An yes I was at a game one time, and liked it!~ RibFest is in JUNE not August & Three Rivers Festival are some good events, Johnny AppleSeed was good till they started all this selling of garbage at the event.

Living in a city where there are over 1 million inhabitants I found your video quite entertaining. We even have some problems with wildlife too, except deer, they seem to stay away from the city proper. Oh, and don't get me started about the potholes we have! Sounds like a nice place to live though.

I am moving from Chicago to be closer to family and I have visited Ft Wayne many times, but I usually stay close to my family, who all live in the same neighborhood. The places you named were the neighborhoods I've been considering. How about southern Hamilton? On the map, it's north of West Central, but on the other side of the river.

I’ve lived in this town all my life 57 years recently moved downtown. I will never leave this area. Plus I’m a Laker lakes are 45 minutes away the dollar still goes very far here in Fort Wayne. We are three hours away from some of the biggest cities in the country in case you need a big city fix.

This is great, it’s nice to see good neighborhoods in the center of the city. All the neighborhoods on the outskirts of town in reclaimed corn fields feel so sterile.

I live in Fort Wayne and although the crime is pretty bad in certain areas, I’d say it’s most likely safer than Indianapolis. I heard a lot of terrible things about Indianapolis
Like many cities, have areas with different levels of crime. While Fort Wayne generally has a lower crime rate than Indianapolis,
I just moved to Fort Wayne I was shocked how everything is expensive now and everything I watched before I moved to Fort Wayne was not accurate
Covid really did a number to the place . I moved here in 2017, its more expensive now, but still a good place to live.
What you heard before moving might not match up exactly with what's going on. Getting used to a new spot takes a bit, but eventually, you'll figure out tricks to handle your cash better. Just roll with it, and you'll get the hang of things.
