\\Geese Babies SD 480p
Our baby Canadian Geese came into rehab after their mom was tragically hit by a car. After a few days of stabilizing them, we had some heartwarming news to share. We took them out to a local pond where a goose family had been living. The two parents and their three teenage geese gladly welcomed our five babies into their group with open wings and no questions asked. 🦆💕
Our babies never even looked back-they were so happy to be back with other geese! It was truly a beautiful sight to see them so content and accepted. 🥰

Identifying A Baby Squirrel

If you found an injured or orphan baby squirrel, first make sure it’s a baby squirrel! Then call your local Wildlife Rehabber
I came home from the store today and one of our stray cats had a little one and giving it the play business. But getting a little rough. So I chased him off it and brought it inside. It was pretty traumatized so I made a good warm bed in a trap cage. It does seem to be around 8 weeks or better but couldn't figure out where the cat found it so I couldn't put it up somewhere to possibly be found by mama. We've raised a hairless, eyes closed male to about 8 months before letting him go in the park. But at that time we had no cats or dogs. So the squirrel had run of the house. But now I'm going to keep this one in a cage for his safety. Now, I know we gave our baby, regular cows milk, watered down a smidge. And he turned out just fine. Do you think I should try warm 2% milk on this older baby, or just feed him fruit and try sunflower seeds and maybe some celery? I want to make sure he or she is okay before doing much else. But I know our baby drank plenty of water and I will try water for sure for hydration purposes. I'm in Florida so temps are not a huge issue. But I remember our baby started making nests for itself , in grocery bags hanging from the hat tree. And hammocks in the french door curtains. So funny 😂. But this little one will be caged until I figure out what to do with him. Any suggestions? Thanks. Nice video. You're little ones are so cute.
I witnessed a Douglas Squirrel get hit by a car today, I stopped and ran to her as the driver never stopped, when I picked her up, her heart was racing... and as I gently stroked her, she passed away in my cradled hands hands...I noticed her nipples were slightly sticking out, and I was wondering how to tell how old her babies may be, as in should I start knocking on doors and looking for her orphaned young?
2 baby squirrels fell out of a tree in my yard. One died I have the other . Here to narrow down the age.
Help

Hi need help ASAP. The animal rescue is closed by me and a baby squirrel head and tail are furry he’s moving. So cute what should I do? Help please

This is so helpful! Thank you!
Houston here. New sub. I have raised many babies over the years. They are delightful. A lot of work but so worth it. I never had videos like yours to help me so this is great. Internet did have good info and I found a rehabber who helped in the beginning. She taught me the scalded milk and Vit E formula early on. Now I add heavy cream. Just curious what you use. Anxious to watch you videos. Thank you for this.
Hi sweetheart. I am so happy to see your video . I just found 2 babies maybe 10 days old . Very cute . I’m give them milk every 2 hours. 1 thing is when they’re pee and pop the shit so wet and I lean up with some water help them pee but I saw it look very burn . So I buy the cream at Petco put on today . So can you help me to give me a good way take care the babies don’t get hurt 😢plz
Hy I just found out 3 new baby squirrels. Can I get some suggestions what should I do ?
Are red squirrels different? My girl has her eyes open and she's covered in fur, but she's super tiny. I'm guessing she's about 4 weeks. She was barely moving and we waited a full day for her mom to come back, but I'm afraid she didn't make it. But I swear after milk replacer for two days she's already a naughty little teenager who throws massive fits if I don't hold her. I want to release her eventually but fear I'm screwing this up and we have no rescue out here.
You're a great teacher!
Thanks for demonstrating the sock as a heater and letting us know what to do!
Thank you! I wish all the people that find squirrels, could watch this!
I am watching this
And will he be able to climb
I have a baby squirrel 9 to 10 weeks old it has only one front paw the other 3 are gone does it still need milk
This was informative and all of the babies are so cute! The one that was mad at you because you didn't feed her was hanging over the hill of blankets in her cage looking at you and still waiting for you to feed her. 😂 I've raised a couple babies at different times and one was under a week old. That infant was the hardest thing ever. I used a combination of Fox Valley and Esbilac formula and then transitioned to just Fox Valley. I also gave her squirrel blocks when she started eating solid foods. Squirrels are so smart and fun! They are my favorite animal 😍🐿️
I want one
tell me any and all information about them and what I should do and how to raise them and take care of them
hi my name is Nicholas I have an orphan squirrel I like to know all and anything that can tell me information about behavioral instinct and how to tame that way they don't hurt you or anybody else
Very helpful, thank you
So incredible😊
“He had some puncture wounds..” = a cat brought him down out of a tree. That’s how I ended up with a squirrel😂

I found one squirrel one month old, now is two months old since with me in my house and after winter in about two months I will realise him in a nice large park with other squirrels even if now I love him but I want for him the freedom of the nature where he belongs.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I just got my rehabber certification and I plan to start out small (no more than 5), so I'm sure I may have to reroute some people to other resources. When they call me I can tell them this information, then send it to them in the form of an email so they can refer back to it. People forget a lot of what they hear, so it's a great resource. I'm going to compile a document a list of short video links like this then dispense it when I'm unable to take in more squirrels and the person may not be able to find another person right away.
Please help me
What if they sound like they are chirping when thy breath?
I'm in rural Canada and found a crying baby about 4-5 weeks old (tried to reunite for first day) . Thank you so much for your informative video, I truly appreciate you sharing this knowledge.
I've had a baby for 9 days (estimate he is 12 days old). We left babies in a heated pouch purse w had to nail to the tree they fell out of. He is thriving now, butwas wondering if I could try reuniting again? I have dogs and can only attempt reuniting over night.
Hi there! A few days ago I discovered 2 6-7 week old squirrels hanging out near me chicken coop. I looked around for a nest or a female squirrel but could not find one nearby. I had figured that maybe they had fallen out of the nest, or followed their mom. As I was looking, I could smell a dead animal. Our chicken coop of right infron of a cow field and the fence turns a corner right where our chicken coop ends. I looked closely into the cow field and couldn't see any sort of animal other then cow manure. I started looking around more thoroughly, and found a squirrel that had drowned who was currently in the process of decomposing. I figured it was a baby at first, but then pieced it together and found out it had to be the mom. In case I was wrong, I waited outside with the squirrels for 3 hours (Until Dark). I watched them fall asleep and then left. The next morning I went to the chicken coop and they were still there. Just to be clear, I have not made any contact with the squirrels except with a glove only when needed. After school, I went back and still saw them. I gave them some food including grapes, sunflower seeds, and cashews. I just realized I wasn't supposed too. After that, I went to a football game and came back at dark. When I returned, there was no sight of the squirrels. I figured they were sleeping in the tall grass, getting as warm as possible. When I went back in the morning before school, I still didn't see them. I was a little worried but I hoped that maybe their mom wasn't dead and found them. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. This afternoon, we had a pretty bad rainstorm. (Including pea sized hail). I found one of the squirrels curled up into a ball, getting bitten and attacked by fire ants. I thought to myself, "dang, she died.". As I paced back and forth on what to do with her lifeless body, I saw her breathing. I grabbed a hose and lightly pours water on top of her to get the ants off (this wasn't the best decision, but I didn't have any other choices). As soon as I had got most of the ants off, I called my parents letting them know I found one of them in really rough shape. The first hour was the hardest. We were still trying to warm her up and as a 13 year old still in middle school, I had homework that I needed to do, along with studying. I looked at her as she was barely holding on, gasping for air. Its currently 11 PM. I found her at 7-8 PM. She has drastically improved, but isn't out of the clear yet. So here I am, a simple 13 year old girl who loves helping out animals, laying in my bed trying to do some research on how to help this poor squirrel. I still have not seen her sister/brother yet, but I'm hoping that it's ok. If you have ANY advice, I will accept every little bit of it. I'm really trying to keep this baby squirrel alive until I can properly release it into the wild. I have 3 dogs and it's very hard to keep a wild animal inside my house. Also, there is no available vet or wildlife rescue near me, since they do not accept baby squirrels. My mom is taking her to her work tomorrow so she can keep a close watch on her. If you can pass down anything to me, I will be sure to inform her about tomorrow morning. Again, thanks for this video! Respond as quickly as you can please. 😁

I can't guarantee that they would have lived better in rehab by any means, but its always nice to troubleshoot together. feel free to reach out at contact@aeroanimalrescue.org
Hi there, thank you for posting this video, its ben very informative! Forgive me, but I cant find a link to the PDF you speak about in the video, can you share please?
Hey there, we actually have a full curriculum that this is a part of. If you're interested in signing up for the curriculum feel free to reach out at contact@aeroanimalrescue.org I do know that we're a little behind on emails as we are wrapping up baby season but will hopefully be able to respond soon.
I just took one to the rehab center today 🥰
Huge help! Thank you! I had a baby squirrel following me around so I took it in overnight since we have stray cats around. The next morning once it starts to get warm out, I went around an iPhone 6 different squirrel hutches and I tried to get the squirrel to climb up to each and everyone and it would just keep following me and climbing up on my clothes and crying, so I really appreciate the advice. I just picked up formula and I will keep looking for mom.
2 weeks old
I'm having trouble getting my 3 week old to poop. He was doing fine now he isn't. I tried stimulating. He pees well but has pooped in 9 hours. I read give him apple juice. Is this true?
Poor guy, he may be going on his own at 3 weeks. Sorry for the late reply on this one, if you have any other specific questions and want a faster response feel free to reach out at contact@aeroanimalrescue.org
We just found one with an umbilical stub not sure if he will make it
Is it safe to put squirrels back in the wild after saving them from only a few days old ? There was no sign of mommy and they were dehydrated , took them in and they are doing well but I’m scared that if I release them they will not have the knowledge of wildlife and be harmed not long from being let out ……
Hello thank you for this info. I found 3 newborns maybe less than a week old. Left them out for mom on Sunday and she was looking we saw her but she didn’t grab them I don’t think she really saw them. We brought them in overnight. We put them in a box with cloths to keep warm all day today but mom didn’t grab them, no one was home to see if she popped up. We plan to call wildlife rehab today when open. Wondering what else to do, but we feel that she still looking for them. Now we found the baby squirrel sound clip would the rehab let help reunite?

Hello, I'm from Mexico. Now I have two squirrels (Houdini, female, and Lolo, male). In the morning, while my girlfriend was walking the dog, she saw one and I told her to leave it. In the afternoon, my mother brought another squirrel, and on the next dog walk, a squirrel that was being watched by a cat ran towards my dog (surprisingly, doggie didn't attack it), and we couldn't bear to leave it. Both had fur... I was told they were about 8 weeks old. The next day, the neighbors told me and showed me their dead mother in a tree... I called all the authorities, but they told me they are wildlife but also pests, and they wouldn't help. I raised them so I could release them (without them interacting with my pets or anyone in the house, only with each other). In the end, I couldn't create the conditions for a release cage, and when their first year approached, I decided to have them sterilized. Since Houdini's first vet appointment, they told me she has a prognathic condition... she needs her teeth trimmed monthly. Lolo is healthy, but due to his captivity, the vet said his chances of survival were less than 30%. I am still searching for information to give them the best life in captivity that I can.
1. I wish I knew another mom squirrel would take them, 2. as they were not socialized (so they could be released...which never happened), i've been working a lot in gain their trust. They follow me everywhere and they climb me, but they still wont let me touch them ^^'
