Washing the mud/concrete/whatever off some of my work jeans and shirts. Impromptu recording on my BlackBerry - hence why I did not clean up the machine for the video. Sorry. :)

Guess it's about time for another video! Washing a XL pair of insulated Old Mill overalls, a large pair of Wear-Guard insulated coveralls, plus a few jersey gloves on gentle speed so nothing would rip. :) Final spin on normal speed. I thought I could do the whole cycle uncut, but silly camera ran out of space on the final spin.

I know it's a little underloaded, but I wanted to get this video done! The Filter Flo with mini-basket cleans and de-lints better than any setting on any other machine that I've tried. I definitely wouldn't trust these muddy jersey gloves and rags to a "high efficiency" washer!

GE Filter Flo, small load, cold dark

By request! This is my GE Filter Flo washing a small load of darks on the regular cycle and cold. A little info on the washer (or why it looks like it does), I got it last year and it needed some TLC. Transmission leaked oil everywhere, lower seal didn't hold water, and there was much mineral build-up. In other words, very well used! :) My little nephew loves this thing and likes to take the fi...

Washing a few chore coats and jeans. I like to use this washer for really dirty/muddy items since it uses plenty of water. For how gentle it is, it does a very good job of cleaning.

Speed Queen AWN432 Washing Blankets

This is the Speed Queen again, washing six throw blankets. Shortened the video (obviously) wherever I could so it wouldn't be a half hour long, but didn't cut out any agitation. Second try - audio was seriously messed up on the first one!

Wash cycle only, dial set to halfway between "normal" and "heavy". Turnover is slow with nine pairs of heavy work jeans packed in, but the Speed Queen ultimately gets the job done.
These were some good machines.
Extremely excellent washing action!! Excellent roll over of all articles and everything stays under the water!!

When half your jeans are sticking up without even getting wet, you may want to consider you over loaded the machine.

I wish I knew. I got a copyright notice about "pines of Rome" when I posted. But that kinda led me to a dead end. Would love to find the whole soundtrack that played that night.
These particular models made by GE were one of their best models.. The rollover is superb.

Fantastic Video... Loved watching my mother's Agitator Washer when I was and and still do and still do on these videos.. Old school top load agitator washers are still the best. Niche better than the H.E. Crap Washers today...

I agree it would sell out.. These newer models are made to conserve water according to regulations and water restrictions. The new washers don't compare to any of the old washers .You cant effectively clean clothes using little to no water

I just picked up an 80 series Kenmore washer from 1999. Any washing machine made after 2010 is complete garbage and won't last long. Now that it's 2019 is your beautiful washer still working? Please let me know :)

For the jeans sake, I would've gave that load a medium water level. That's a lot of harsh dragging and pulling of your clothes fibers. But, none the less, it's getting the job done!

Speed Queen washers wash so quickly 31 minutes so what’s the point of packing all that into one load when you could’ve did two loads I don’t understand why people do that.

The new GE/Hotpoint top loading washers 2016 to present are a real piece of shit. I would rather have a GE Filter Flo washer which were made until 1995.
almost every load large or small is out of balance worst wash machine we've ever owned in our almost 60 years .
Just a tip: don't install it sideways. It is a top-loader, after all. Mine is, quite honestly, the most stable washing machine I've ever met.

Sarcasm. Sorry. :) If this machine is out of balance and it's installed somewhat level, my guess would be the plastic shipping plug was never removed from the bottom. It will definitely go crazy if that thing is not removed.

Pathetic rollover - the only top-loaders that could wash worth a damn with a heavy load were the Frigidaire Unimatics, up to the 1-18. Otherwise, you need a front-loader...
They did to a great job of roll over but they would also rip things apart at times.
Richard Harrold I noticed that all the Frigidaire’s had rollover with small loads if you put a full load like this in the Frigidaire the pants would’ve stayed at the very top and never even got wet practically I’ve seen it in those washers that have been overloaded very bad with too many clothes.
Something is wrong with ya washer..it's not agitating like it should.

I love my speed queen pair. I have had them now for about 8 months now and what a pair of machines. The water level is adjustable from the inside panel. Thanks for a great video.

I believe I got it in 2013 or '14 but I am not sure anymore.
My Zen moment is watching my clothes go back and forth. Finally a washer that does not self lock.
My tub leans like this too during the wash cycle, drives me nuts. Doesn't hurt performance or anything but just don't feel my new $900 washer should be this way, but no one has a pat answer on why the do this including speed queen.
yambo59 my does the same I balanced it as perfectly as I could and still there is a little lean.
My 2017 AWN432 leaned way over to the 4 o'clock position even though a carpenter's level proved it was level. I complained, they replaced springs and the skate plate - and still the lean. They then agreed to replace the washer. OMG the new one does the same thing, and it's perfectly leveled. I was hoping for better in a $900 machine.

Im glad to hear yours also has the pronounced motor hum in the spin cycle as it picks up speed, mines new and I was feeling a little paranoid about the sound of it-lol No problems with operation just seemed like the hum was a bit on the loud side. But the cord doesn't get warm or anything so seems like its all normal.
Ordinary clean or Speed Queen clean? The choice is yours.
