Design a Study (12 marks). Correlation. For A level Psychology
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
This video explains how to write a 12 mark question on designing a correlational investigation. If you get a Design a Study question, it will be on paper 2, last question (it's not guaranteed to come up though, which is annoying. I feel like - either put it in or don't, but there we go!)

Behaviourist Treatment of Phobias: Systematic Desensitisation +Flooding for A Level Psychology Exams
มุมมอง 8002 ปีที่แล้ว
Behaviourists believe that phobias are treated through 'counter conditioning'. Essentially you are 'unlearning' your original phobic response. You pair your phobic stimulus (the thing you're scared of) with relaxation techniques. Eventually you learn to associate the thing your scared of with relaxation and so your phobia is cured. can you upload the link please for model answer it isn’t in description
Thank you so much for this video, I always struggled with designing a study questions but I now fully understand how to break it down and formulate a concise study.
@@Kimberley_987 glad it was helpful! I also have videos on how to design an experiment and how to design a correlational study 🙌
@ I will definitely watch that, thank you
This is the best explanation of this theory I`ve found so far. the use of the graphics was very helpful to make it easier to understand. Thank you for sharing.
@@alexsandoval1110 thank you!!
lowkey one of the best 'design a study' vids on yt thank you!
Thank you- means a lot :-)
Is it possible if you could give me the link as it isn’t in the description. Thanks
6:44 Didn't the question say we were observing antisocial behaviour? I think bullying wasn't part of what we were meant to observe, I think it was supposed to bring some context to the observation. Correct me if I am wrong.
I think that antisocial behaviours was to give context and bullying behaviours is just inferring to anti-social behaviour, because it says "Design a study to investigate bullying behaviours"
so basically a confounding variable is an extraneous variable that wasn’t taken care of?
You got it 👌🏼
I donr get this because type 1 is 0.1 not 0.01 ? @5:21
This channel is a hidden treasure!! Thank you for these awesome videos 🤩
Thank you so much- you made my day :-)
What the fuck
wosley hall gang>
so... COOL........ Its nice seeing how anesthesia was bck in d days n here is a video of j using hypnotherapy.. cool cool
This is a very good video but is hard to listen to because of the author not making the video at a time when her children are not constantly interrupting.
I think I must have made it during lockdown when they were at home the whole time. Hopefully they don't disturb you too much. When I had to teach online lessons in lockdown to my students with both my children at home, they would wait until I was explaining something really difficult, and then announce they need to go the loo - I don't miss those days that's for sure ha ha
I apologize. I think I was rude. Your teaching is excellent!
@@chulascruz don’t apologise- it’s fine :-) And thank you :-))
@@chulascruz the character development goes crazy I appreciate you. also thank you Miss, I needed this got an in class test tomorrow 👍
Hi Harry Kane
I'm watching this because I'm taking a hypnobabies course and I need motivation. If I could do surgery under hypnosis i might want to try it as well, I hate anaesthesia.
"Promo sm" 🙈
This was an incredible video of the live surgery performed under hypnosis. This is my first exposure to this. Amazing.
It IS amazing isn't it! This was so long ago, I can't believe it's not been taken up my the medical world.
Very interesting & helpfull
Actually, it's only 2 to 3 times larger in the male than the female brain
oh wow, thanks for the info.do you have any links to research? Thankss,

Thank you so much this video was life changing
Could you please make a video on cognitive treatments and therapy for depression with evaluation points your vids are very helpful!
Pretty good mnemonic
I really like the fact that you depicted political spectrum in the shape kinda similar to uterus. 😉
Korzay hocamdan gelen TAYFASSSSS
you spelled hypno wrong in the title
You win the prize for being the first person to notice :-)
@@successfulpsychology4393 can you fix it? what do i win?
Actually, the model says that the 'source' has to be credible, not attractive. So either an expert or someone with personal experience.
Lol
Such a horrible feeling I was trying to avoid emotions and then got love bombed and fell for him. Next day he became distant I’m so hurt, like why do that if I wasn’t pressing for love from him?
Do you think if you done a STD awareness add with Charlie Sheen it would be convincing?
Great info but the background music is distracting
Why think of the Nazis? The Neoliberal woke authoritarians forcing everyone to get vaccines and wear masks are modern examples.
My extraneous variable is your accent ........ 😑
Haha. Sorry about that!
Great explanation and visuals!
In America, being conservative means we take responsibility for our own actions, we are charitable towards others, and we wish everyone to be free from government control. We believe in our constitution, which limits government power… America is supposed to be the land of the free. Being far right means the complete opposite of authoritarianism. The left are the authoritarians. They cannot tolerate free speech or anyone disagreeing with them. They do whatever they have to do to enforce their will on people. What is no surprise to conservatives in America is that the globalists pushing “The Great Reset” are actually global fascists (stakeholder capitalism) pretending to promote democracy. Yet, nobody wants their dysfunctional policies. They are the biggest authoritarians and represent a real danger to all free people.
You clearly didn’t watch to the end
@@successfulpsychology4393 I'm not sure why you would say that. Did I say anything that you disagree with?
This was very helpful. Thank you so much
Dale was on take it or leave it game show

i am able to understand within 13mins easily after spending days to read through journals... thanks!
Brilliant, so glad it helped. :-)
This helped me so much, thank you 🙏
Very helpful for the crim psych students, so many these days! I write/text message myself details now when something happens, cause the mind is so amazing how it remembers what it wants to, overriding conscious thoughts at times, especially during high stress
justice for Lisa she must be in tears watching this
omg you are a life saver
You’re amazing 🤩
Awww thanks!
So, I was with someone for 3 years, they cheated, left.. came back and love bombed apologizing and left again and it has now been 3 times over a year period. All the while staying with the person they cheated on me with!! This was the love of my life and it is so hurtful!! I need to know why?!
Hi Jennifer, I’m so sorry to hear that. What ever their reasons…. It’s not your fault. They sound extremely destructive and it sounds like you need to protect yourself from their selfish behaviour. I hope you are able to move on with your life and find meaningful friendships and healthy relationships where you are treated with love. Take care
It’s not important why, what is important is that you walk away and heal from the codependent attachment issues you may have.
Don't worry about Eric who is kind of attacking you here in a way... he is right that there is work to do with attachment issues but anyone can be pulled into this trap. And it does help to know why in the psychology of the abuser. Is very helpful. It is not your fault you got drawn in so understanding the abusers mindset is extremely helpful and then you can move on to work and heal yourself
Can this be used to measure and improve Information Management behaviours.
Good video mate
Cheers mate
such a great and informed video! Much more in depth than my teacher
Your teacher sounds inadequate 😢
Thanks for this I was struggling to revise this really helps siiting A levels soon please make more
Check out my playlists- I have the social influence and psychopathology units. Good luck with your exams!
In the video I should have said “Claire does not want Claire’s behaviour” not that she doesn’t want to be Claire. Claire is wonderful- it’s the OCD that causes her problems, not who she is.
A bunch of the 2nd students were learning intro behavioural counselling last week, for spider and elevator phobia. This will help them link the techniques to the School of thought they developed from
