Chilli food, yes. What you can buy with R100 in Nigeria you can't buy with R500 in South Africa. Food and cost of living is very cheap and mostly organic. Oranges, vegetable, meat and fish. R5 organic banana is about R100 and is enough for four or five people. You are talking about Banana Island. Yes, it is hot, but the hottest is Northern Nigeria. Jos is got South African weather in similar. So it depend the region. Even here in South Africa is not the same weather. Upington is hotter, Cape Town is hot in summer, Joburg is not as hot. Durban weather is also different. Yea. Next time try and visit my home state in Nigeria. Rivers State, Port Harcourt.

South Africa needed visa then but South Africans are now visa free to Nigeria. Visa on arrival is now granted. Nigeria has implemented their own but South Africa is yet to implement theirs.

Am a Nigerian living in equatorial guinea, malabo capital, the only Spanish colony here in the continent, i can say the best form of understanding between ourselves is true Turism, and understanding of people's cultures and behavior and respect them by shearing positive light on them, to the hol world, if not many still hate his/her fellow Americans brother+ recism, just because of one's error or unverified rumors, thanks bro for shearing such a wonderful and united massage of experience ❤❤ one love to all African youth's ❤️ one to all.

Thanks for sharing your experience about Nigeria and your honest assessment is on point, the heat is crazy, even sometimes the rain is scary. Not all Nigeria food is spicy/hot with pepper, Yorubas eating more pepper than other tribes. Egusi, and bitter leaf soup are mostly from the Igbo tribe. Next time try the Vegetable and Affang soup and you will be hooked for life.

Around 1990 while I was still in Secondary (high school), a lot of South Africans came to my school (Mayflower school, Ikenne, Ogun state, owned by Dr Tai Solarin of blessed memory) to study. This was before black South Africans got the freedom to rule themselves through our revered Nelson Mandela. I can tell you, as much as I know, those South African kids were happy here in Nigeria. We loved them and treated them as best as we could as our own. Though there were isolated cases of some bullies amongst us (who got disciplined for their misdemeanors) who might not have behaved nicely to our young South African guests. They (the South African students) received a great and respectful reception from most of us. Most of those kids back then are now in their 50s and late 40s now. During that time (in the early 1990s) we have a good number of our musicians and activists singing songs of freedom and clamouring for self governance by black south Africans. Hopefully, Our south African brothers will one day appreciate the commitment and contribution of the Nigerian people and government to their eventual emancipation from White minority rule. If I'm right, even our beloved Nelson Mandela and perhaps some of his colleagues lived briefly in Nigeria for some time during his struggles before he would later be arrested. Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, A Nigerian statesman revealed how he hid the foremost South African nationalist and former president of South Africa, Chief Nelson Mandela for six months in Nigeria to evade his arrest by officials of the apartheid regime in that country. That was way back in 1963. It breaks my heart when young South Africans with little knowledge of history talks down on Nigerians at times. I however appreciate greatly the kind comment, effort and observation of this our young South African brother who made this video. May the good Lord bless you. I appreciate your work❤ I wish South Africans (especially the young ones with little sense of history) stop the hasty generalization of calling Nigerians bad people because of their experience with some of the few bad ones they've seen. A lot of us are kind people and we are mostly accommodating. Thanks once again for making this video. It is well appreciated. May God bless Africa!
