I think the Honey Cones were on the first episode of Soul Train. Its a shame why some great groups are not acknowledged like others. Thats why i have a system in my car to blast songs like this to educate the uneducated. Sometimes a young person might ask what song I'm playing. I love that.

Honey Cone was underrated. You never hear no mention of them. They sang some great songs back then.

I wanted to emulate Larry Dotson when I was in the 8th grade. The Enjoy album was my favorite. Larry was the black lead singer that had swagger and great stage presence then came Sugafoot of the Ohio Players, them boys could jam too.
