That's probably why it says designed and knit in the USA as apposed to made in the USA. It's probably just referring to the base materials like giant rolls of the fabric are made in the US and then shipped off to Mexico to be sewn together and the elastic band added to it deceptive marketing most defiantly. But lying in a legal sense not so much they've definitely covered their bases to avoid getting sued for false advertising that's for sure.
