He gives me time for documents mailing 2 weeks but it took 20 days and when I asked for proper mailing (Post) address they didn't reply my email and massage , know after four months an other person send me email. I am not familiar with it but what we know here as nurses, the Netherlands won’t hire nurses overseas because they need to prioritize coming from EU first.

    • @thenurseaurora
      @thenurseaurora 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is pretty dodgy but I will check into it. You have to learn the language and discrimination is prevalent here for us coming from the East. I prefer the USA to be a nurse - status and salary-wise. If you work here, we, nurses are not on the highly-paid professionals. We are on the middle to low...compared to the US, you can acquire dual citizenship, easy processing now for green card for nurses overseas and better salary. ❤️ Please decide carefully! And especially, the language! I learned German and now Dutch, I prefer English because I am already comfortable with it. And if we don’t talk their language here, some can be very mean and can downgrade us. I recently experienced discrimination at work, deals with me being the on the lose part. Not win-win. They win, I lose, and they wanted it.

    Hi sis. How did you apply as a nurse in NL?

    • @thenurseaurora
      @thenurseaurora 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi sis ❤️ I did the registration process and while it’s still running and awaiting for the next steps for the two major exams, I applied in different facilities or hospitals as LPN level. I hold a residence permit as I am married to a Dutch. For non-EU foreign nurses, no working visa is offered and I recommend not to apply thru agencies just to get in. It’s not the way, as far as we know here.

    Hi, you mentioned about changes in nursing educational system, I’m curious about the career advancement in Germany for us Filipino nurses, specialization like NP or CRNA like in the US.. is there opportunities like this? Thank you po

    • @thenurseaurora
      @thenurseaurora 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! The changes were more on doing 1-2-yr associate and the third year, can go to a specific route and be a university degree. I need to get more details for this to be sure. However, NP of any type or CRNA...CCRN or those higher specializations are not present. There are courses like Pflege Management, Case Management or other higher positions that a normal RN in Germany, but it is not comparable to the level and salary that NPs or CRNAs, Nurse Case Managers...and the rest of the certified positions in the US. RN salary in Germany is around 2400€-3800€ in a range, higher positions perhaps are between 3800€-4500€ (this range takes years maybe) before tax. But it’s not everywhere compared to the US Nurse/Career system. Germany has lower salaries and status is not as respected in the US but all good if contented. No nurse can function here as an NP there in the US like having the role of a physician. In Germany, this won’t be the case.

    I am waiting for my eligibility to take exam in NCLEX, then I saw a post from a Nurse group that they offer a Free Deutch language course and they will help all through process going to Netherland under Nurse apprenticeship program all expenses paid. What is your advice is it worth trying? I want to go in US, but I also love Netherland.

    • @thenurseaurora
      @thenurseaurora 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Connect with me on FB, too, I will give you tips and options for you to see. Like the reality. It is hard to get into contracts here (Germany or the Netherlands). US has the best salary among all countries. Most Pinoy nurses move from UK or anywhere to the US because here in Europe, the salary is not as promising as in the US. It is up to you po but don't lose sight sa NCLEX as a back-up plan. I am also a USRN. Netherlands is also so nice to live and work but it will take so so long to be a full-RN here. Go for it if you want but make sure you won't be binding with a huge "fee"if you breach a contract (nothing is free with programs and all, unless it is fly now, pay later, it's clearer). Go go go for your nclex then come to EU while waiting for your immigrant visa for the US. <3
