Cheap Golf Cart Headlight Mod.
Ezgo golf cart gets green led headlights from amazon. These leds go for about $1 each. They bolt right in with no modification to the headlight so you could always return back to stock if you wanted. The led light bars that are now being used as headlights were also from amazon.

Ford F150 Tailgate Led Lightbar Install.
มุมมอง 32K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Ford 2017 f150 Led Tailgate light bar install. Install was straightforward but didn't quite turn out the way I expected. This led strip came from china. we have used a similar strip before with great results. This time was not so great. I would not recommend buying one of these from china. I got what I paid for this time. Not impressed. Will not be linking to this product.

มุมมอง 16K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Never seen before fog light. These unique lights have just been released. this is the first set in the USA. You will not see these everywhere you turn. We will be unboxing, installing, then reviewing these lights. I will show you exactly which wires to use and where to hook up everything. Check out the end for review of the lights and beam patterns. Update: A year later. Would i recommend these...

Mods and modifications on my new channel. Ford F150 Raptor Mods and how to videos. Golf cart mods. Mods on anything else i can get my hands on.
Both turn signals wire on the LED are supposed to be the brakes too, but I can’t figure out how to connect them to harness. Turn signals somehow have to connect to brake wire, but when I do, one of my turn signals comes on every the brakes are applied
I did splice into my taillight harness, I got the running, the reverse and both turn but the brakes aren’t coming on.
My driver side lights are out and the sequential is also not working on my driver side :(. Also it’s flickering
Wtf a si no se hace men 😂😂😂
Measure twice cut once. Always test electrical parts before installing. “Thank You!” for sharing
🚮
Could you confirm which ones are the turn signal wires? I cant find any reliable diagrams online and I dont know anything about testing the wires like you did in this video.
You don’t need to unplug the battery?
If you are not 100 percent confident, you should always disconnect the battery. It all depends on your level of confidence.
Hello my friend.Fits for raptor style bumper??
Fits factory Ford raptor bumper. Aftermarket bumpers I am not 100 percent sure. Sorry
Great video. Very informative
Wire it properly and you won’t have any problems, I just plugged mine into the trailer connector and it works perfectly, if you don’t want to do that splice the wires into your trailer harness, not to your tail lights, that’s probably where your problem is
I spliced them into the trailer harness.
The only thing pulled from the taillight was the reverse lights. That was my main reason for installing. So using the 4 pin trailer plug would not have given me the most important function.
Everything works on mine except running lights . When I check the wire for running lights the wire is dead . Tomorrow I’m gonna cut the back up wire and see if I have running lights. $12.00 junk!!
Nice video man! Just what I needed. Hey what did you say that rubber putty stuff you used to seal it was called? I searched it up and found what I think it is, but they had a million different things, so I’d like to make sure I’m getting exactly what you used here.
Butyl rubber.
Thanks a lot Joe
What the frick type of reverse “bulb” is that???
I made those. Lol
Thanks Joe. Your video helped me decide to get these lights and the confidence to install them. So I separated the wires that go to switch 5 and 6. Made the connections and when the lights are on I'm getting static playing through the radio. I have my wires moved to the right side of the battery and still radio static. Any advise? Thought about wrapping the wires in aluminum foil but I'm not sure that would do any difference.
We did not have any radio interference when we installed ours . I would verify your grounding point. Aluminum does not conduct electricity well. Try to go to battery or steel if at all possible.
The problem is I am grounded to the battery Joe. I'm wondering if the factory radio wiring loom is close to the pass through wiring for the switches? I don't know.
@@stevem6189 I had zero issues with interference so I am not sure how to help. The radio wires are most certainly going to be close to where those go through the firewall. LEDs can cause interference that is noticeable through the audio system. I believe there are chokes available on Amazon for just such occurrences. Let me check real quick
@@stevem6189 th-cam.com/video/MGtQR7mr-F0/w-d-xo.html
Could also be coming from antenna. Did you run wires along side of fender close to antenna? Maybe try running them lower along inner fender well.
Ironically I'm installing in a heat wave and can't get cool enough.
I didn’t cut my harness. I de -pinned the coupler. Truck to Led colors as follows. Green to Green, white to blue, yellow to yellow, brown to white, gray to red. For the reverse lights I ended up just using the coupler didn’t tie into Reverse light. $23 on eBay awaiting night to see brightness
I’ve installed a couple of these and I’ve watched quite a few videos just to see if anyone has done it the way I have done it. The reverse wire you can go to a local auto shop And I’ll have a two pin extension wire you can cut and splice it to where you just have one pan and modify the rubber around the pan either by a seven way to 5 way adapter or buy the whole 9 yards that mounts under the bumper but you take that one pen and solder it to the reverse wire and you make that a five way plug. It’s a lot easier and better In my opinion then trying to tie it directly into the wiring
Hi friend, how have these things held along time? Are they still working fine?
Still working fine. No problems at all.
I just bought these for my 2018 raptor and I plan to install this weekend. Thanks for the video.
Just pulled them off of ours. Both sides ended up breaking went with rough country setup with drl.
@@modsbyjoe6327 They broke? The housing broke or did the lights stop working?
@@armaniac14 housings broke on both sides. They were loose. Looks to me like a design flaw. Being both sides cracked in same spot.
@@modsbyjoe6327 Bummer. Well they weren't that expensive so hopefully mine will be ok for a little while. I really like that they are different than the stock ones. I do take my Raptor off-road though and I am concerned about those little clips handling rough terrain.
@@armaniac14 mine were earlier releases. They may have changed them by now.
Great video! How do you splice into the turn signal?
Numerous ways to accomplish this. Simple t connector is the easiest and least desirable. Better is to peel back outer sheething from wire, solder wires together then seal connection point.
Pop out both taillights , Splice one wire onto right side brake lite wire , Feed it through frame to the left hand tail light , then you can hook onto left brake wire , tail light wire , and back up wire, much easier. inside the left hand tail light opening is a bolt for load tie down , Hook ground wire to it , The aluminum body is ok to ground to, much easier than doing all that stuff under the truck. You have to hard wire them to the taillights not to trailer connections the trailer sensor won't recognize the signals n brake lights.
@Mods by Joe , I'm no genius when it comes to wiring. Care to advise how/where to wire the DRLs if we don't want them switched?
DRL light could be wired to almost any circuit that is live when vehicle is running. Or supplying 12 volts once ignition is turned on. A simple 12 volt test light could be used to locate a suitable wire. If you cannot locate one let me know and I can try to find the exact I might use if wiring it way.
@@modsbyjoe6327 Going to tackle it this weekend. Thanks! Awesome video btw.
You have to hard wire them to the taillights not to trailer connections the trailer sensor won't recognize the signals n brake lights
Well mine did. 2013 f150
We're talking 2018 buddy glad it worked for you my 2017 was ok with the trailer plug but not the 18 it has all the sensors
Hi joe when u did the splicing to the turn signals which kind of tap connectors did you end up using? They were recommending me to use self solder connectors but I’d figure T connectors would work best if I’m not cutting and twisting wires together but they I also read after time with the elements they will end up getting corroded
I always like to strip a small section and solder then tape. Have had trouble in the past with simple t connectors. If not sealed properly they will eventually fail. Have seen some last 20 years. Have seen some fail much sooner. If going that route make sure to use lots of tape to keep moisture out. Moisture will rust the cheap metal inside of those type of connectors and then they fail.
I can’t find a car wash that can accept the width of my 2020 Raptor here in PA. How did you find one?
Normally just hand wash. But did run it through Sheetz car wash once before a funeral. Folded the mirrors in just in case. No problems that one time.
Lol
This is crazy to me! I just got a 2020 Raptor, Raptors are all over here in AZ, I'd assumed it's just a slightly bigger F-150, shouldn't be a problem. Most of our carwashes out here accommodate full size lifted trucks!
@@bobbyneal4738 Raptors are 6 1/5 inches wider than a regular pickup. That’s the problem with car washes!
@@donb.1426 Seems so crazy to me!
Thanks for posting this. I just bought the same ones. Is there a reason you ran the daylight lights to an aux switch rather than hooking them into the stock daylights?
Just like to have control of everything. Have the upfitter switches so why not. Kinda like the wig wag effect I can get with hazards.
Where do you connect the white harness wire?
White wire is for daytime running lights. I ran mine to the overhead switches inside of vehicle as shown in video. Red will be fog lights.
@@modsbyjoe6327 ok thanks. i tied the turnsignal wire to the amber lights and the fog to aux 1. and the white wire to acc 12v but the amber lights go out when turning on the fogs and i have to reset the headlight switch to have the ambers come back on. not sure what i did wrong.
@@mannysautomotiverepair if the amber lights are tied to turn signals they will only turn on with turn signals blinking. So you wired them to running lights? Constant 12 v when running lights are turned on?
@@modsbyjoe6327 yes I wanted the amber lights to be on only when the rest of the amber light are on and not used for turn signal
@@mannysautomotiverepair have not tried that. I believe you are the first to try this. So now we know what to expect when wiring them to stay on constant. They were not originally designed to be wired this way. I would think if we want ambers on probably have to wire them to their own switch at that point. Turn off ambers to run fogs. Kinda inconvenient. Will have to check wife's truck when we get back in town. I thought it was drl that turned off with turn signals but I could be mistaken.
Hi Joe I was curious if these will work on a reg F150 Fx4 if I’m running the oem raptor front bumper? Would you know if the wiring should be the same on a raptor and a F150. Right now I’m currently running my amber lights to my headlights when after sundown they turn on automatically with my headlights. I also have upgraded G3 DRL headlights but same since my truck didn’t come with the DRLs activated the lighting strip only brights up at night. Let me know if you have any insights before I purchase these kind of lights thanks
Wiring would not be the same as a raptor because we used the upfitter switches an f150 does not have these. The wiring for turn signals should be the same. But fog and running lights would have to be ran differently. If you had factory fogs in your stock bumper run fog lights off of those wires. And run daytime running lights off of same circuit as your 3 grill lights or any other circuit that is live when running. These draw very little current and will not affect most circuits in a bad way.
Thanks Joe you da man!!! That was actually my next question if I can run the fog lights to my existing fog light wiring from my 1st bumper. Have u experienced any issues yet with the lights on ur raptor?
@@GunRunna47 no issues yet.
@@modsbyjoe6327 I did this exact wiring setup with these lights on my 2015 Lariat and all the lights work properly until I turn the engine on. Then my drl lights shut off. I wired to the same wire as my 3 amber grill lights, and they shut off as well. Any idea what the issue might be? Thanks!
@@GunRunna47 did you end up wiring this way? I just installed mine this way and it all works until I turn engine on. Then the drl stop working.
Im guessing this won’t fit for the raptor style bumpers for the the f150?
Not really sure to be honest
Hi Joe, great video I'm looking into this lights and I'm wondering if the sequential LED will continue through the sequence indefinitely?? or will it stay solid ON after the first sequence? if given a steady power signal rather than a blinking signal
I see where you are going with this. I believe it stayed steady if power was left applied. So therefore we could wire them to run continuous as marker lights without turn signal function. Never thought of that. I might like that look better.
@@modsbyjoe6327 Thanks, if you do change it upload a video... [subscribing]
@@jorgerodriguezh8975 I definitely will.
