One of my favorite childhood cartoons! I added some subtitles, so you can enjoy it even if you don't speak Russian. Hope you enjoy it :)

I don't know but I really love this kind of animation😭🥹🫶
The men underestimate women so much that they don't know it when we are under their noses. The best man is a women who can do what men can. I feel like these are messages from two eras of feminism, and here our heroine uses it in harmony. I love her, and I wish her and her husband and bride the happiest
"Василиса премудрая" это как Гендальф и Галадриэль в одном человеке. 😁 Возможно что Василиса - волшебница, а Ставр не первый её муж. Волшебницы живут очень долго. Если она его выбрала, значит он достойный (благородный, честный) человек. Достойный такой жены как Василиса.
Es maravilloso, sacado como de sueños.

Watching in 2024 ..... coming from insta reel
So after watching Vasilisa Prekrasnaya and "The Frog Princess" I dare to say I certainly love the first ones the best (especially Prekrasnaya) and liked this version too. Kinda funny how actually these animations usually have stories like "Frog Princess" or even some other stories but with Vasilisa in them.
She said “snip snip” and went to get her man’s

This translation needs to be stylistically modified, and there are lot of words and phrases that actually an archaic words. But of course we have to say thank you to the uploader)
Archaic in Russian?
@@fluffyunicorn57 yes, original wording is pretty stylesed to give that medievel Rus vibes)
Thank you for translating and posting. This was wonderful. Unfortunately it's a little dark and hard to see. I've seen other versions online where the colors are much brighter. It's there any chance of applying the English subtitles to the brighter version? I still appreciate being able to watch this though. I'm finding that a lot of these early Soviet cartoons are really impressive.
wild bibble, this horse allure are called as ambling; in Russian inohod' - иноходь
just love story
i know you postd this a long time ago, but o you have the original link? its amzing that you made all the effort in traducing it but the animation seems a little blurry

Minu Tiae I’m pretty sure she’s Tatar, that’s how they dress.
The golden horde was Mongolian territory which then became tatar according to Wiki.
lovely
this was so fun :D
So true, this fairy tale is. A Russian woman would save her husband from anywhere and overcome any adversity for his and her children’s sake.
I loved the way Vasilisa’s dressed moved when she walks
Her hair as well!
Thanks 🙏🏾😃😆
OK WAIT BUT SHE MARRIED THE GIRL. WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT.
It would have been annulled or they wouldn't have counted it same-sex mirage wasn't a thing back in the time this animation is based in.
@@dementedtomatoproductions605 *ignores this* theyre wedded happily!! We stan lesbians!
@@daycorebang3059 well tbh, not really lesbians. It was a forced marriage as the princess knew she was a girl and kept protesting, nor can we actually say Vasilia is a lesbian, either she said that as part of her plan or to pressure the king but we dont know for a fact she was actually attracted to the princess and wanted to marry her.
why do you care?
@@daycorebang3059 I mean... it was forced. Not really lesbians if one isn't some flavour of fruity.
This animation was also one of my all time favorites. Secretly I use to try to mimic their movements! xD
Thank you for the subtitles! 😙thosands of kisses in gratitude!
Vasilisa Mikulishna is the story of a woman who dresses as a man to save his beloved.
One of my favorite childhood cartoons!
I think I remember her cutting her braids off, it impressed me as a child. But I didn't know anything about "women don't play chess" LOL. I used to dress up and play at being a Knight, with a sword. And a chair was the horse.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww
Woooooooonderful, fantastic job. I was looking for these cartoons for along time Thanks a lot
i've been looking for an english sub since forever!! thank you! now all i need to find is the English Dub of the humpback horse. and not the new crappy one, the one form the 70s!.. i think it was called the magic pony or something like that.
thank you a ton times for the upload!! u made me cry remembering :D!!
I found It it's called LE ROI ET L'OISEAU :) there's one on youtube you can watch in subtitle
I know that one about the painting of the chimney boy and flower girl trying to escape from the king who is crossed eye :) and the Stork bird helps the chimney boy and the flower girl
Hmm, I'm not sure I know that one unfortunately. I'll see if I can figure it out though :)
Ah loved it! :D Such a cute story and such a brave and smart heroine!! I love that the princess was the only one who realized it was a girl. LOL
