Drake seems to have a dissociative disorder of some kind that, among many other things, allowed him to suppress the Pusha T beef, and jump straight into the worse version of it. Everybody else saw from the get-go that it was a mindless decision.

Drake never stood a chance in this battle. It was an unwinable battle against Kendrick. For one, Drake uses ghost writers and used ghost writers even in this battle 😂. It was really a 1 v 20 and Kdot smacked Drake and all his ghost writers. Drake is delusional and surrounded by yes men. If he had real people around him, they would have told him not to engage. Now here we are, drake's entire persona is in the toilet and his entire character or lack there of, has been put on front street. It was a public flogging and humiliation 😂

One of the most underreported things is that Drake was actually stepping in to defend Wayne because he did such an embarrassingly terrible diss track to Pusha T. Lol. Drake had to mention Kanye because Pusha didn’t know what he was talking about because he wasn’t in the writing session and Kanye wasn’t telling Pusha what he was doing, and wasn’t intending on crediting Drake likely. He had to go back and properly credit Drake on songs he previously wrote for him after this situation happened. How you going to insult him about not writing when he was just writing songs for your boss? Lol. Pusha was also stepping in for both Kanye and Pharrell. It gets messy when other people are standing up for other people, and their beef is really with the people behind the rapper. Lol.

Some important context for why Drake was so big out the gate is that he had a huge head start, to the point where it feels like he might’ve been an industry plant. He came from the upper middle class, and had an amount of celebrity and money already from Degrassi. So he didn’t really have to work hard or prove his abilities and take losses to grow from the way that someone like Kendrick had to. The industry knew they could make money off of him, and once you start making them money they keep pushing your stuff and inflating your numbers to make it look like everyone is listening to you and keep the gravy train going. He did capitalize on that, but he never matured, hence when it came time to step up, his foundation wasn’t strong enough.
