How much does it cost .for 2 beds house with 5 radiators.
Thank you so much mate, please share the kind of spanner that you used.My tape pipes are licking and the underneath locker is rusty
Great thank you
Proper helpful programming instructions for time off and temp 👍🏼… the old system of 3 blocks of time on then off was much easier than this new version
Hi, this worked perfectly. What happens if the bar is now to high can you lower it?
Why not add chemicals to the top tank?
Can you power flush micropore pipes 8mm
I have a fairly new boiler, all rads are brand new apart from an old towel rail in a bathroom. We are currently renovating and I think the crashing and bashing keeps loosening debris and it ends up blocking the heat exchanger. Will the chemical flush and drain down release the debris in the heat exchanger? TIA!
Great video - I;ve noticed when I bleed my radiators the water coming out is quite creamy, would this suggest gunk? or something else? all rads, boiler and pipework are only 14 months old. Boiler just serviced and the engineer said the magnafilter looked fine.
Cheers pal. Worked a treat.
I looked at a poweflush and the cost was extortionate tbh,my issue is ive got bottom of house 15mm plastic repiped but top half is 10mm copper micorbore, some said it wouldnt work and didnt even want to try,the ones that said they would wanted crazy money, boiler is condensing type around 6yr old and upstairs rads are cold,so i bought the X400 and flushed the sentinel magnafilter, refilled system with the x400 and now only 8hrs later have decent heat upstairs now,not as good as it shpuld be but a huge improvement and good enough, the rads are all around 3yr old but to repipe upstairs is no no as it means ripping up floor in 2 rooms and hall, weirdly the towel rad has always been fine upstairs but 2 rads on same floor were always very poor, there is a manifold in hall so not sure if thsts an isdue.
Very good indeed
Appreciated!! This very issue, thought it was the toilet float but problem returned 3 days later, 1/2" FIbre washer and a new float🤝 appreciated greatly once again!
What did people do before power flush.???
Pumped the water main through the system
What’s wrong with an off and on button?
wait can we talk about the song? Now that was a throwback for even the deepest of throwback lovers
Nicest bathroom in Gary, Indiana
😂
Good video 👍 I think those pliers are crap, just use a flat had and crack the old cartridge.
Yes I agree, it’s much easier using a flat head isn’t it!
Totally lost lol
In auto mode when I set the temp to 16 degrees it keeps reverting back to 21 degrees how do I change this pls?
All 4 rads on my ground floor have drain pipes so how to I know which rad to add chemical?
it doesn't matter...once it is in it will circulate
Best idea is if you have a towel heater use that, once drained down close both valves fill with the chemicals flush usually 1 ltr, prime system and open both valves then bleed rads as normal, the towel rad is easiest as the bleed valve is at top and you can remove it plus there's no trv valve.
Thank you, very helpful!
Oh right I see you did it back to front I was so confused
Got one of these and it point blank will not control my Viessman 100. Only way to switch it on is through the ViCare app. Showing as binded but still won't work.
Great video. So you say to insert the chemical and leave the rads running for an hour to circulate it around. We then drain off the system to get rid of that slugey water. We then put the inhibitor in - do we drain this or leave it in there to circulate? Thanks buddy
Hello 👋🏼 Leave the inhibitor in the system. This prevents any further corrosion. It prevents the system of corroding from inside out and therefore prevents build up of sludge. Hope this helps :)
@@flushman makes sense. Thank you for the quick reply
Thank you. Good video. 🙏
question: what happens if you power flush but you have no open drain outside? my drains are sealed under the ground. some people have said they put the contents straight onto your garden which i think is bad idea if you are putting corrosive elements onto soil( is it even permissible to to do that !) also is a power flush more suitable if you believe your system has never had a power flush( mine is at least 14 years old and came with the property) thanks
Leave it alone. Is your system ok? Radiators hot don't worry.
Thanks for the guide, Just had this one fitted to a new combi boiler, in the morning the boiler is told to come on but if the it only needs to make up 2 degrees from room temp of 19 and stat set to 21 will the boiler slowly heat up the radiators so to prevent over shoot. I ask this because the rads never got hot.
I think it depends on the boiler. My Vaillant has something called Comfort Mode which heats the radiators up slowly (and cools them down slowly when the heating goes off). I think that mode can be turned off via the settings on the boiler itself. Don't forget that when you pick up the remote control to change the temperature or programme it, the heat from your hands will increase the temperature on the display by at least one degree (when I reprogrammed mine for the first time it went up from 20 to 24 degrees!). Therefore if yours was at 19 when you picked it up to 'fiddle with it', it might have reached 21 by the time you put it down and the heating wouldn't come on until the temperature drops below 21 again.
lol that was so funny 👌👍🏼🙂♥️
Thankyou but after you have done your program won't you be setting it to MANUAL from Auto ?
Thank you, that was really helpful. I’ve heard of a power flush, but not a chemical flush. How easy are power flush machines to use. I believe you can hire them? I ask because I was I was quoted £850 plus VAT for a power flush (3 bedroom house with 13 radiators)
Rip off.
Shocking absolute rip off I was quoted similar, issue can show up leaks if powerflushed and they do usually warn you of this.
Thank you so simply explained I've had my new boiler since April been struggling with the thermostT watched your tutorial and I'm now sorted so informative well done you !!
Thanks for sharing.
My partner has just had under floor heating fitted downstairs under floor and rads mainly upstairs. He’s had a new boiler fitted and they didn’t mention that they’d cleaned the system first. Is this bad practice? The system has never been cleaned in 15 years. Could this damage his new boiler? I had a new boiler fitted and knew I needed a power flush. Old system, problems with my old boiler. The builder in charge has said it nonsense he didn’t need a flush and it’s an unnecessary procedure which is used by heating engineers to get more money out of people. Please advise. Thanks
If they don't clean the system the boiler will knackered
@@richlee509 that’s exactly what I thought . Thanks for your reply
Great neat Job
Very well explained, thank you.
How much roughly would this cost and how often should blsystem be flushed ? Thank you.
Hi, you can find out more on our post here… www.flushplumbingandheating.co.uk/power-flushing-west-london/
😂👏
I'm not sure why you created this video. I thought you were a working Plumber. Not an out-of-work comedian.
I was so disappointed he didn't put a Glow Worm 45/2 Back Boiler in with a nice Miami fire on the front
Lols 😆 👏🏼 If only, maybe I will do that when I next come across one!
What is the black stuff on the back of your head?
I think he missed it when he shaved his head.
Ha ha you got me
I'm installing 3 new radiator Just replaced the old one I have a single pipe system After that , my all radiator is not working. Please help me. Kind regards Thanks
😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤great video
🤣🤣
I think the house would look better with garden hoses used instead of the copper. This way you'll get more scrap $!
🤣
😂😂😂
You had me there 😂😂😂
I was so confused for a second this is great lol
Dude I know this is comment bait. But this is worse than handyman level repair.
