Thank you! I want to do more MOC building as it's something that I really enjoy doing. I've gotten a bit away from it just as reviews are a bit easier to do, but I'm going to try and mix a few more MOCs in. The Black Falcons are from Bricks and Pieces on LEGO. The rest are just assorted LEGO castle themed figures that I've collected over the years.

The bags are numbered, so I followed the numbers!

It’s so good! I couldn’t believe how awesome it was. My only complaint is that there aren’t more modular buildings from pantasy to buy! The sticker was annoying, but a minor issue for how good the set was.

@JoshtheBrickworm I know! I'm bummed they only have two so far. Happily Funwhole has been cranking out one great one after another. Good times for modular fans!

@@SO-ym3zs I'm trying to start a big modular building collection in 2025 ! I'll have to check out the funwhole stuff.

@@JoshtheBrickworm Their newer sets are amazing. Great designs, excellent bricks and manuals, lights... If you're looking to do modern-day modulars, they have a record store, theater, skate shop, book shop/cafe, antique store... And then they have a bunch of other themes.

@@SO-ym3zs Yeah - they do seem a bit pricier than Pantasy off first look which is what has kept me from purchasing thusfar.

I've heard nothing but great things about funwhole. They are on my radar. I need to order one of their sets to see for myself, it's just not been in the budget yet! Have you tried Pantasy ?

What fun whole sets do you recommend?

The Carpenters van and newsstand are both really nice and both under $40, I’ve built both and love them. Theres even a Christmas version of the newsstand out now too.

LEGO prices are pretty exorbinant.

You'd miss out on a lot of the printed pieces that really bring the set to life!

Probably easier to just buy the legit set and get all the printed parts, unless you have all 3,000 pieces lying around in your inventory. You can usually get it for around $80.

I was pretty intrigued when it arrived and I saw the box art. I was wondering how it would be structurally support with how large it looked. It's a shame that it doesn't stand easily. That's a major flaw that ruins one of the best looking sets that I've seen in a long time.

Fair point, I was improving the design LEGO made aesthetically though, not taking function into consideration. If you really wanted to make it more realistic, you could remove the blade and have the hilt only!

The only way to tell the difference is looking for Lego branding on the studs of the bricks and nobody in real life is looking that close, or cares. Pantasy is a well-known brand with fantastic quality very comparable to Lego. There are many reviews from multiple years on TH-cam and Amazon for their sets, and I’ve never seen anyone ever accuse them of being low quality, brittle, breakable, or having any problems that a normal Lego set would not. Seriously, the only people that care about a missing logo, are the people who care about brand more than the actual final product, which seems silly to me.

@@MariW736 Agreed! There is a slight drop in performance, but not significant enough to justify the cost difference between PANTASY and LEGO. And LEGO is far from perfect. People seem to forget about Brittle Brown and Dark Red. I've snapped more official LEGO pieces then any alternative brand. PANTASY makes a great product and it's LEGO compatible, fantastic quality, excellent customer service, and at a good price point. The only downside is they usually don't include minifigures in their sets, and when they do, I'm not the biggest fan of them. There are a lot of LEGO purists that deny the quality based off of sheer blind loyalty to LEGO.

@ agreed on all points. It would be one thing if they were just one of the ripoff companies that duplicated Lego designs, but the fact that they can deliver such good quality with their own creations and unique designs, really drives the difference home. And I’m personally very happy with the fact that they aren’t just stealing Legos unique mini figure design. I can save my money buying these fantastic pantasy sets, and then add some genuine mini figures to set the scene, and it all looks amazing on my shelf at the end of the day 🥰🥰

Luke's mech is definitely not super colorful, but it's very true to the X-Wing Color scheme which I love! It's got that classic Star wars feel to me! Mechs have never been my speciality, but I really love EXO-Force! If their is some demand to see some exo-force content, perhaps I'll dabble in a moc!

It's not a fake, it's an alternative brand mate. Same as there are different options for every other product in the world.

@@JoshtheBrickworm It's a fake dude. If it was an alternate brand it wouldn't function with lego products. You should be ashamed. This is no different from buying fake louie bags or nike shoes and claiming they're real.

​@@M14KNM Your argument is logically flawed here. I could buy the Lysol brand or I can buy Walmart Great Value All Purpose cleaner. Walmart's brand isn't claiming to be Lysol but it uses the same active ingredients and performs a similar function. Same with third party car part replacements. I replaced the mirror on my car with an aftermarket mirror. It wasn't claiming to be Honda brand, but it's compatible with Honda's. As with any alternative brand, there will be differences but they are meant to be a substitute or compatible with the original product. No one is claiming that Pantasy is LEGO, but it is an alternative to LEGO and a very decent one at that.

@@JoshtheBrickworm Dude cope and seethe you're wrong. It's called the LEGO SYSTEM. System as in it's proprietary to their SYSTEM. It's not Lego all purpose bricks or cleaner. Stop coping and admit you're cheap and you buy illegal fakes from Ali express.

It looks really good! I'm a big fan of it. I usually don't like sets like the micro-fighters or mechs but this one was a must buy for me.

Order 66 was so tragic. But I think that it was an in character and necessary death, especially if Karen had gotten to finish the series.

There are definitely more cost effective ways to purchase some figures. In this case, they are ABS exclusive, so you can't. The price is higher but you don't have to pay international shipping fees if you're in the US and it's nice to have the US based customer service as well.

I think it's more poor color correcting on my end. I've been experimenting with my lighting, but struggling to find the right option. I'm using my phone and don't have the capital to invest in a camera yet, but it's something I eventually want to do!

I actually am not a big Mano guy. TBF I didn't really give it a chance. But I really love Karen Traviss's take on Mandos, so I'm not a big fan of how TCW and then Disney changed Mandalore. Also TBF to Disney (not that they deserve it) this change did start in TCW which was before their time. I really enjoyed Kenobi for the most part and I've liked the Tales of the Jedi and Star Wars Visions stuff. I've heard Andor is good, but haven't gotten around to watching it!

​@@JoshtheBrickworm As a big fan of Karen Traviss' Mando'ade, the Mandos in The Mandalorian are pretty reminiscent of her Mandos in a lot of ways. Heck, they even recanonized a couple of Mandalorian things that she made in The Mandalorian, such as the mountains of Kyrimorut.

@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 TBF, they seem not as horrible as TCW Mandos, but I'm just partial to the Skirata story line and a bit of a curmudgeon. 🤣 I dislike when Disney "recanonnizes" something because they usually just make a worse version of what existed. IE, I think the Disney Thrawn is just a shadow of the real OG Thrawn.

@JoshtheBrickworm I'm definitely also massively partial to the Skirata storyline, but I also quite like The Mandalorian Mando'ade. Also, at least with most of the Karen Traviss stuff that's been recanonized, it hasn't been made better or worse because most of it has just been brief mentions in shows or books, which I like because it means those things still exist in the universe but likely haven't been changed.
