The Mazda would likely be FAR more reliable and be a more comfortable daily driver

I was going to look at one of thse by the wet timing belt design and what it will take to replace it, perhaps one of the most difficult and EXPENSIVE timing belt jobs in on the market. Basically, you run this till the belt snaps and then you have it hauled out for scrap.

They are both reliable so pick the 2022 bc it isn't UGLY like the 2023, it gets better mileage, and it will be cheaper bc it is one year older.

Thank you for the comparison on these two. As an owner of a ‘21 Bronco Sport, Big Bend, it’s shocking to see all of the downgrades on the ‘24 model. Mine does have the auto unlocking doors when grabbing the door handle. Mine also has auto high beams. The seats are not cloth, but a neoprene “wet suit” material. Maybe all of the recalls Ford has on them caused some cutting of corners. Just a caution to anyone looking at a Bronco Sport, there have been at least 5-6 recalls on mine in the last 3 years. A bad battery, a dead brake light, and recently a “catastrophic” water pump failure. If you are looking for head room, it does have it in spades and the cargo area is spacious. The overhead lights on the tailgate are wonderful, and you can’t go wrong with a built-in bottle opener in the back. Too many issues for me personally. Thank you again for the comparison; it’s given me a good rundown on a potential replacement for my BS.

I have a CX 50 Turbo and I love it. I would not try a new 3 Cylinder engine with a CVT from Nissan

The battery range on the plug in hybrid is too small to be of any real use to me. I live rurally and every time I go out in the car I will far exceed the range of the battery and then I am just hauling around a heavy battery for no reason. I guess what I am saying is it really depends on your individual driving needs. Plus once the battery is used up I am stuck with a 2.5 litre 4 which may be adequate for the city, but will be lacking for my needs.

As a former Chevy driver (I purchased the CX70 PHEV last month) I just want to say I'm really enjoying my Premium. Usually trim above base wouldn't get me heated leather seats, let alone panoramic room/sunroof. I love that I was able to get all these features without paying 90 k. My first thought was to get the inline 6 but I was sold on the PHEV after test driving both.

What is Mazda thinking here? I didn't belive it was the exact same car until I looked up the dimensions last night. Why? Just make a 2row CX-90 option! Why segment it. There are already too many Trim options.

I have CX5 and CX50 currently at home. Both are good cars. CX5 over 40k miles without any problem. CX50 has less than 2k miles and so far OK as well.

I love this color combo, especially with the Blacktop Package. My '23 is in Destroyer Grey with Blacktop and it also looks damn good.
