Thats a fire Hazzard bro
@che1421 lol which part. Honestly the whole car scares me but I will be relocating some of the fuel lines and hopefully getting the hood vents put in this week.
@@PeopleandCars701 just the vapor from the intake gasket , id hate for that beautiful car to catch fire bro sick build no hate
@che1421 ah yeah I need to get the billet spacers or switch to an AMS intake manifold. Its crazy that the spacers soak up like they do and no one else has brought it up.
@@PeopleandCars701 yeah bro soon as you said that I was like ohhh nah bro that's sketchy
@@PeopleandCars701 maybe get them and use a thin one on the block side between the billet spacer
45k* audi maybe 100 in mods not even though
Modern rs7's are worth more than 100k
@youngestincharge6870 The 2016 Audi RS7 were 100k and he has full bolt ons and E85. They are fast stock with a little bit into it they are crazy fast. But its a trade off obviously between the base price of each car plus mods.
1million percent more reliable
@@johnytszcinco haha its why we both added big turbos to both our cars. We had to make them both extremely unreliable.
@@PeopleandCars701 that’s what happens when you Tim Allen the bitch because we all need more power but the fact is stock for stock that Evo can do over 300k with no issues
Well Subarus sure as hell aren’t as reliable
@blightstuff2629 lol that is why I made it even more unreliable with a big turbo haha.
Mitsubishi Subaru unreliable cars
@xxsniperdragon1 lol you should see the sticker I put under my hood so when I bring it out people know how extra unreliable it it. In my last full video you can see it 😄
What battery brand and model are you running?
@@alexudolkin2146 I am running the Odyssey Extreme PC680
I was thinking about going with the PTE stock location turbo with internal gate and the hard inlet. I need to run stock tgvs. Will it work? It has the 3 inch inlet so it is smaller than the fp inlet. What do you think?
@EM29011 anything bigger than the stock 2.4 inlet will be an extremely tight fit with the Stock TGVs. I would get some TGV spacers and a silicone 3in inlet to make life easier. I torque solutions makes a bunch of parts for that type of setup.
Man I logged over 215k miles on my Evo x at over 400hp for most of its life and the only thing that failed was an alternator. Unfortunately a drunk guy crashed into me. Otherwise id still have it.
@bluehydro88 that sucks to hear, my buddy has just over 106k miles. The car was at Autocross and the throwout bearing broke on the ACT clutch.
@PeopleandCars701 Oh man, when we had to do the clutch at 145k... it sucked haha. There is so much in the way. It took us all day to do it. How do you like the ACT clutches. We ended up going with a single disk Exedy. I remember the ACT 2600 with Findanza flywheel was the go-to clutch setup for DSM's back in the eclipse era, haha
@bluehydro88 when I was driving it the ACT was a bit tough to get used to. It almost felt like a Monster stage 3 clutch. I let him borrow my Quickjacks to make life a little easier for him. But we did have to go everywhere looking for an axle puller. As far as I know he is getting another ACT clutch but buying an OEM throwout bearing. For my Subaru I ended up getting an XClutch Stage 2 Sprung Ceramic clutch with a Lightweight flywheel. My Evo buddy Said that is a bit harsh when starting but he likes how it feels otherwise.
It’s a mitsubishit bruvvv
My Subaru is mysteriously losing coolant for about a month now. It doesn’t have any puddles under it and it’s not smoking but I have to add a quart every tank of gas. I’m thinking it’s one of the head gaskets but not sure.
@arlochristman8668 what is your oil looking like? If its starting to look milky its definitely a clear sign its leaking coolant into your oil. Also what is your temps at?
@@PeopleandCars701 it used to consume about a half a quart over a thousand miles but it stopped consuming oil and will go a whole oil change without using any oil and it’s not milky at all. I’m an automotive technician myself with almost 30 years experience that’s why I was asking. No overheating issues. I actually dumped all my coolant and added new because I thought it was just evaporation which is what my thought was but I figured it would stop doing it but it’s still losing it somehow.
I have been running this set up for 2 years only just internal gate. I run cnc billet tgv deletes, phenolic spacers and process west billet manifold. No issues with the 3" inlet. The silicone barely just fits without crushing
@sarverg2207 I just posted up part 2 to this and I did end up using the Torque Solutions 3in Silicone with the stock TGVs and it wasn't too bad. But I definitely was never going to be able to make any of the hard inlets fit.
That’s a trick question. They’re all leaking coolant
@mechcommander7876 haha oddly 2 of them are and one is leaking oil 😄
I did a setup like this about 12 yrs ago & I will never do a big stock location again. Only 2.5” inlet stock location or smaller. Anyone asks me to build one I tell them nope not happening. Just wait till u bend the TGV bolts & have a boost leak, I can go on & on about the problems that will arise. Good luck to you
@monsteriamturbo I agree with you 100% I had to order 3 different sets of Zine bolts for the TGVs that fit comfortably. Ended up with a 120mm which is so hard to find. The ones that were included with the kit were known to rust almost immediately causing isses with the heads. I definitely learned a lot from it and the car is running and working on tuning it. It will be one of the first large turbo emissions compliant STIs but it isn't worth the headaches that came with it. I should have kept the BCP X500R lol
Bro I was literally about to buy this turbo I’m not gonna lie u just saved me 💀
@JermJermFlores yeah man, on paper it sounds great a stock location turbo that can handle 750whp or more. I thought it would be great to keep all the emissions equipment and make a high horse emissions compliant STI but the amount of money spent to keep it was not worth it. I am working on a part 2 since I finished the build and am in the middle of tuning. The other problem you run into is when you force an intake of that size against the TGVs and the manifold you put a lot of stress on the bolts and the heads. Definitely go with a rotated kit or get a BCP X500R to get some good power out of these cars.
Dang I just bought the GTX3076r. You think I’ll need spacers? That boost reference is crazy stupid. Maybe we can tap into where the empty box is on the turbo housing? PLEASE KEEP US UPDATED!
So I was a bit behind on pushing out videos I have completed the car. if you are going to be using the 3in Inlet instead of using the reducer yes you will need to get spacers. I ended up with the 19mm spacers to clear both the AVCS housings on both sides where the fuel rails are. I tried the 6mm, 8mm they were too short to clear the TGVs comfortably. The Boost reference you will see in your package that it comes with the silicone coupler. They suggest putting it on there or if you feel confident enough or find a shop that will do it properly you can tap it in to the cold side of the turbo. I will post up the next video next week with it completed and the other weird things I ran into.
@@PeopleandCars701nice happy to hear you finally finished! Can you post more videos!! Also question the TMIC didn’t work?
@trackstarind I will get a follow up video posted this week. Been busy with work and trying to get a weird idle misfire ironed out. The top mount would get heat soaked with this setup the intercooler inlet to the cold side of the turbo is a different size. You would have to make some modifications that unfortunately wouldn't gain you much from a Top mount with this size turbo.
First!
Austin. You botched the launch😅. I heard the guy in that blue Camry likes night clubs in San Francisco 😮
Neglected? Only a little bit, it happens when cars are involved 😂 it’s for sale! Make it $300 and you got a deal
$300? best I can do is $275 and a Subway coupon...
@@PeopleandCars701 $285, subway coupon and a KitKat
Idk why people get EWG. Sounds annoying. My STI is very quiet. Q300 catback, stock downpipe, Cobb 20g turbo and equal headers.
It's the only thing we got when all these big V8s are rolling around with big cams.. we have to sound just as fast haha
😂😂😂
Sounds like a burbly honda
Haha my EVO buddy said my car sounds like a Subie that wants to be an EVO.
@@PeopleandCars701 I always loved uel headers you lose such small out of performance I think it is worth for the rumble uel hondas sound crazy too need a uel honda turbo header be sick
😎 very nice!
It's fun being nosy lol
Finally 🎉🎉🎉
I bought a 05 sti last October, he put 14k+ in mods pretax but rocking stock motor and turbo at 144k miles. Gotta love the blobeyes
The blobeye is my favorite Gen too. It was always going to be between the Hatchback or the Blobeye for me. Besides getting an EVO lol.
Thank you for what you're doing coming out and taking photos and videos. 👌
Well at least you got an upgrade as a rental. EVO>WRX
😂
No one really cares abt a dam cold air intake on a car that u bought already with 800 to 900 hp be a real man an buy a car and build it yourself
It's funny because I get the opposite reaction when I tell people I am building a 600whp Subaru. In reality getting a Hellcat or a ZL1, or a GTR is a better platform to build on. You can get a Hellcat and dump 20k into it and hit over 1000whp or dump 20k into a Subaru and hit 500whp. So why does the base car matter?
How does it feel when my Tesla burns you in silence? 😂
Nobody really cares but you. You’re driving an RC car with an electric engine, obviously your 0-60 is going to outperform a combustion engine. You can’t seriously be driving that thing and having any sense of accomplishment when you out-speed someone you see on the road 🤣
I have video of that in a Plaid. It is like having a cheat code in a video game. Its hella fun but a combustion motor has a different type of fun. There is no doubt the Teslas are fast anyone who says otherwise has never been in one lol.
North Dakota -10F start
@michaelflynn6952 haha I had old footage I haven't posted. There was also the Challenger Hellcat next to it I was making videos on too. But it was the week before it got down to -60f but the Charger got him around with the Blizzaks.
Lameeeee. A burger can cook faster in a microwave but doesn’t make it any good.
It’s a whole race car, why not a front ram intake? Do you really need both headlights/ fog lights
Haha the Hellcats are pretty interesting both the Charger and Challenger have open headlight ports that feed directly to the intake. The Challenger even had a Hellcat logo that lights up inside it.
Oh cool didn’t know that.
@dackbowland1876 I didn’t either. The owners of both the Charger and Challenger Hellcat let me tinker with their cars and I learn quite a bit through it. While I still build my Subaru haha its part of the reason it's taken me 6 months to put it back together.
who is this Josh Bader person?
Haha, you know he is that one guy who likes to have his neighbors call the police on him constantly for trying to send Subarus to the moon. Menace to society really probably owns a Lambo and GTR now...
@@PeopleandCars701 he sold the GTR already 😂
@Smeedia well dang, sounds like he needs a different 6 cylinder car. Heard someone might be parting out their EG33...
What the hell 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒❤
it does not belong anywhere but in that underground carpark. Fuck evryone who can only have fun on someone elses account!
Lmao!
Bro brook the sound barier
dude 1700cc is SO FRICKING overkill for a 600hp build, there's guys running 1500 wheel horsepower with high lift cams and a blower running 25psi that are on 1200cc injectors, I guess it will give you room in the future for adding boost but that just seems way overkill. I am guessing these are peak and holds?
You are probably right but from what my tuner and even BaderBuildRacing said that 1700cc injectors were the best to reach between 600 to 800whp. My little brother just got tuned at BaderBuildRacing, and he had 1300cc and was closed to maxed on duty cycle he was just under 500whp. I am aming for more, I just say 600whp because I know it will do it but don't want to over sell saying 700 or more and not get it and look crazy haha. Easier to tell people the lower number and exceed it.
@@PeopleandCars701 I dont think I realized that a cylinder would need that much fuel for 600whp, I guess other engines are different. Like you can run an LS3 on 1200cc injectors at 80% duty cycle and get around 1200whp out of that, fuel flow is definitely different, is this e85? If so that makes a lot mroe sense since e85 is consumed almost 2x as quickly. 600whp on that light of a chassis is gonna hit tho
@Unit_450 Yeah, it's crazy what these cars need to make good power. I used to have an 05 GTO. The LS2 didn't need much to make power like the STIs and EVOs.
@@PeopleandCars701 Ya thats incredible, what duty cycle do you plan on running them at
@Unit_450 pretty sure I will run out of turbo before we hit 80% duty cycle. We aim to hit 32 to 34psi on the turbo running E85.
get after it!
Ford backwards ? D-river R-eturned O-n F-oot

I use a carbide knife sharpener for stuff like that. It's about $10 on Amazon. Don't make the same mistake I did though and scrub too hard😅
I hate how accurate this is. My lancer running smooth but my transmission is bullshit. Endless fixing
What's really funny is the fact that the dude in the video is not saying this, and it's a really bad voice-over. You can tell because it's not syncing up with the guy in the video.
Haha I didn't realize the sound is off.. that really is me talking haha I will have to do a follow up.
On my instragram the video sound is ok. TH-cam must have messed it up but now that you pointed it out. Its more hilarious.
😂😂😂
Could've had a evolution 8😂
😂😂
😂 Mitsubishi 😂
Not a fan of either car but someone in a wrx talking down on reliability to any car is rich. Wonder how many head gaskets, piston rods and pistons have blown
Lol well my Subie is on its second motor. But its an IAG build motor... but I will update you when I shoot the pistons through the side of the car like a battleship. Haha I will just have to go buy back my old GTO and go back to LS power 😄
You sound like a home schooled vegan
Totally not my black dogbox wrx walking the piss out of a white evo 10 in downtown Dallas causing 15 cops to show up Friday night 😪
Every time someone does some dumb shit on the road they're driving a........subaru. Subaru's have douche bag drivers. That's what Subaru's have 😅😅😅
Transmission gears doesn't matter as much as gearing unless you're talking highway mileage or playing max out the speedo on an empty freeway. Without a bigger engine or some crazy forced induction build, you could gear both engines to a four speed for the track and performance.
Oh we know for sure lol my buddy with the EVO is usually drifting his BMW so he never needs more than 2 gears.
