Worked fine on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 24H2 , A version of windows that doesn't even include the Xbox Game bar but dose these stupid messages.

That back cover ruins the air flow anyways. If you put holes where the fsn is sure you'll cool one thing but then you'll eventually fry everything else

Thank you for finally fixing this frustrating issue for me, legend. It's such a minor thing but it got more irritating the longer it went and I tried like ten different fixes before. All because I used a stripped down win11 to get rid of all the junk like Game Bar and Cortana.

I heard a rattling noise, and my deck stopped turning on. I sent it to a 3rd party repair shop, they said they needed to solder a new power button on. This video and the kit in the link saved me $250. Throwing my 2 cents in, the #1 Phillips was much more snug and worked far better than the #0.

Worked right after I did it but it came back immediately after restart...

For anyone that the registry edit didn't work for, I had to change the "AppCaptureEnabled" DWORD registry key to 0, which is found at: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

Finally something worked. I easily disabled the popup when starting a game but the popup when turning on a controller was persistent. Have those two batch files saved now. Thank you.

Did not work for me. Still get the annoying ms-gamingoverlay error when trying to launch simple Microsoft games i.e. Microsoft Ultimate Word Games. Once the error is received the app never launches. Any idea?

You can also do the following after removing the gamebar which fixed it for me: (In PowerShell Admin) reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR /f /t REG_DWORD /v "AppCaptureEnabled" /d 0 reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore /f /t REG_DWORD /v "GameDVR_Enabled" /d 0

I am getting my SteamDeck Delivered in a few days and I have one question. If I follow this guide and do NOT set up a custom dualboot loader how does booting work? What I'm assuming is that a normal Power on will boot into SteamOS and Volume - and Power will boot into Windows, is that correct?

Is gforce now works on any drivers ? For steamdeck windows ?

Looks the the latest version cant auto download the latest adrenaline app had to manually find it and put it in the program file/amd folder. Then on the app hit 1 enter should auto install just fine.

Im stuck on adding the Bethesda launcher to steam. I followed the correct file path. Is it bacause i installed it on the sd card?

I was really startled how imperceptibly slightly the motherboard moves even with the screws out, and yet it was enough to fix the button's click action.... it's still a little squishy towards the sides, but pressing right in the center of the button works fine now. Tip for anyone else going through this: the one step that I had a LOT of trouble with was, the last two screws EXTREMELY did not want to turn no matter how much downward pressure I put, and I stripped one of them very badly trying.... what finally saved me was switching to a ratchet rather than a screwdriver. My Deck is now back in perfect condition!!
