Two good men up there
Just add water It will grow you know 😅
I literally cried from this. Like real tears, Patrice was one of a kind, Bill is too.
At the risk of sounding sadistic; I love this clip. Proof positive that Burr is a wonderful man. Too many reality tv-cynics who turn the tear taps on at will; but Burr is genuinely embarrassed and grief stricken here at the mention of his friend. We all miss you, Patrice.
Burr, Conan, and Ed Sheeran on one show... Was there a quota to fill or something?
Best 23 minutes of my life
The absolute greatest song ever!!
Hamasyan Tikoo 👌👌👌👌👌
My idol Carlos was playing a Gibson Sunburst and Gibson standard Les Paul and I believe a natural mahogany top guitars back then...correct me im wrong...🤔
To @Junya1...I thought I was the only one that felt that...but what happens in this amazing song is that it starts on fire and before you know it, in the blink of an eye,...it turns into a somber jazz tune...look me up and we'll talk ....🎸
After many years of playing lead guitar in bands, I found out Carlos' secret of sustaining a beautiful note...its not a special pedal or electronic gimmick...its finding the right distance and position between your guitar and amp...its kind of a battle between your string and your speakers trying to outdo each other...sustain...You have shown me so much Carlos...Dios Te Bendiga a ti y Cindy...Orale..❤
Carlos and his band SANTANA are known all over the planet as the World Band from the Americas...true Ambassadors...Planet Earth, our home...needs more people like this...peace and love my earthly familia❤
Bill Burr is my GOAT ❤
Bro missed his bro. Love is forever
👿🔱😈..now if i could find the cd for sale for under 80$ that would be awesome 🎉
This is definitely my favorite Dead song. I bought my Black Faced 1970 JBLD120F loaded Twin Reverb just because of this song.
5:00
The jimmys wouldnt have done that
😎
That bridge riff is probably the most menacing riff in the history of rock. King Crimson was not a band, they were an entire school of music
Have heard soooo many covers of this song - but not one has matched John Wetton sending chills down the spine belting it just on “Bible Black” alone
I love coming on this page, and reading all the comments, all the shit that's flying around, you still leave it knowing, music is 1st god bless
Yep 2024
Bill truly is a lovely man, extremely genuine. We love you!
1972, I saw this cover and thought to myself, "I am not ready." In 1980, "I am ready." Those who know don't tell.
4:53 Just amazing..i lost my mum 23yrs ago in December..i played this on new yrs eve alone at midnite..it breaks me..the power of music..but verve a different gear
Best driving music
Fuck yeah man Bill Burrs awesome, that’s a true friend right there
John Wetton, quel grand bassiste et parolier vous fûtes 🤠
Stand up dude and a legendary stand up comedian
Everyone watching this clip , listen to some of the arguments between Burr and O'Neal. They were at each other's heels all the time, but I guess they respected each other deeply.
In the 1970s, deadheads used to hang banners at Dead shows noting how many days since they played "Dark Star." I don't know if they still did that in the 1980s.
Bring Conan back!! The only night host that is worth watching
Genius, what a great tune.
*I never met Patrice But I miss the guy and makes me tear up time to time.*
I recognize that this isn’t the tone for the video one bit, but I noticed Conan, a ginger, had Bill Burr and Ed Sheeran, two more gingers, on his show at the same time. Like the three most famous gingers too
I don't wanna be in a world with such unkindness. This is not the world I choose. Not now. Not ever. My peeps deserve the fullest of my heart and intention . Gonna give them that
Most brilliant 24 minutes the band ever played
Agreed, not a second is wasted here. Feels like a classical composition which makes it even wilder that it’s largely improvised.
I'am agreeas well ,but😂 some another bands like pink floyd used to do at the same time long tracks too. ✌❤
As both an aspiring stand-up comic and someone who recently lost a close friend, one of my goals in my comedy career is to do a benefit show to raise money for my friend’s family. I’m friends with her mom now and it’s insane how strong that woman is, so when I get enough name recognition I’m going to do a show in honor of my friend where most of the money would go towards her family and the rest of it would go to a charity that she really cared about. One thing I will say is that Bill CLEARLY cared about Patrice immensely, friendships like that are so rare and they need to be cherished and protected.
RIP Phil !

RIP to the great Phil Lesh - with much love :)
R.I.P., Phil
The best🙏
I'm here to tell you all it's possible to listen to this and enjoy it without dropping any acid at all. Incredible but true.
Phil Lesh RIP
RIP Phil
RIP Phil
In 1976 this was in the college AV room on Reel2real. I would often drift on Darkstar after getting on hashish. When hear it I go right back to that guy in early 70s. Good bye Phil, Jerry has missed you.
RIP Phil. Holding it down as he always did.
