Thank you. I think there is a kind of fear. Spent hours watching so many youtube videos and gathered tons of supplies and created space for crafting, but now there's a bit of overwhelm! :D I decided that i would try to make a few journals (with pens) to put in the free pantry in my neighborhood (that idea came from Crazy Rebecca Dances With Pitbulls) that way there wouldn't be so much pressure to get them perfect and they could hopefully, bring a little joy into someone's world. Your video helped me see places i'm getting stuck! <3

My first JJ was done in a Reader’s Digest condensed book. Somehow I didn’t get the signature knots tied properly. I picked up the book and the signatures started hanging out. So I got out my glue gun and pulled the back binding thread tight and glued it to the outside of the spine. Then i covered up the mess with h red and white polka dot duct tape! 😂❤. It’s one of my favorite journals.

The libraries in my city have bookstores and book sales. Prices are amazing.

I currently have multiple junk journals going- one is like this, a scrapbook/memory type journal, I have one for playing with mixed media, a base journal (did the Junk Journal July challenge), and currently participating in a Halloween Junk Journal Challenge which is super fun! I also make journals for family and the kids in my classroom as prizes (I teach 7th grade and they LOVE crafty stuff!)
