Quick question after installing the cold air intake did you have to get it tuned

Will getting this BOV help with my Check engine light P2261 code. I have a 17 Hyundai Elantra Sport 6MT

I’m struggling with this, is your valve, with the vent facing up, correct? Or should the vent be facing the bottom of the car…
Mine is facing up
@@Nakana_Castroyou also have the recirculation hose connected tho, you don’t need that if you want the BOV noise. Sxth hasn’t replied to me, I’m trying to figure out if I installed it in the correct orientation based on their video, which ironically doesn’t show the 1.6 BOV which can go either way

Had sxth element bov installed today on 23 forte gt and sounds exactly same as stock . What are we doing wrong ?
Is your recirculating hose connected to the intake and BOV???
@@Nakana_Castro removed the hose and had a cap on it . They told me to remove the cap and fixed the problem . I then added a cold air intake and have it open also but people say I need to cap it off
@@brent1819 I know I'm late to the party here but you really want that capped off. That recirc inlet bypasses the engine air filter and could be bad news if sand or dust got in there.

What's the benefits of a blow off valve?
My knowledge is that the benefit of it, is so the turbo can constantly keep spooling up when taking off so that the BOV will blow out the air for the turbo when shifting so that the turbo doesn't need to itself causing it to have some turbo lag so it'll just take off quicker

Have you done SXTH Elements hot pipe upgrade on the intercooler?
I have not that’s my next purchase i will make a video installing that as well
maybe is the camera audio but the sounds is not good at all compare to gfb this is too smooth and not agressive

how hard was it to install?
@@festeringfilth 2 out of 5 stars, just remove the air box and you're able to access the 4 10mm bolts and 1/4 hose no problem.

Looks sick. I just got one brand new off another Forte owner. It didn't come with bolts though. Did you just use the bolts from the factory inlet plate? Cheers

What does this do other than look good? Does it add power?
Ram Air works. However without a tune you likely won't see anything because the car restricts torque. Second, it will work at speeds over 75 mph, not really at cruising speeds and not really in non-racing activities. It can add 1-3 mph of trap speed to the 1/4 mile but most of you don't do that, so save your pennies.
The only thing you will notice is you have less money in your account.

for those going to do this, removing the bumper completely is not necessary. it will save you some time just to remove the top screws under the hood and then the screws in the wheel wells. The bumper will just hang and you'll have plenty of room to install it.
I just installed mine, removed 4 bolts on top and the tire wells clips and screws. Easy install took 30 minutes start to finish
