I drive at 65 on the highway, you don't save much time going faster but you save a ton of money. I get 32 mpg on highway with my 3.0 with hybrid tires and bed cover.

Thanks the only other thing I would have done differently was, use some gloves with a cuff. I own a 5425, so I stopped to critique myself.

I was able to get 27.4 with the same truck but 2022.5 Mine has a 6” lift with 37s Looks amazing and drives fantastic But the around town MPG is horrible Still nothing impairs to my 2019 ZR2 Duramax 44+ mpg and it’s a mountain goat

I think a lot of that phenomenal feel economy on the first day was your low average speed. I know I get the same fuel economy in my truck that’s a 3.5 L eco-boost no matter if I’m driving in the city or the highway. About 17 in the city and maybe 18 on the highway, but keep in mind with our highway speed limits, I’m traveling 75 to 85 miles an hour. No matter how dynamic they make these trucks they’re still a giant box. It takes a lot of energy to push them through the air.

Oil has more BTU than diesel, so as long as it flows the engine will run better with oil

hi friend I have a hummer h1 2004 k series. the company recommends 15w40. However, I believe that 15w40 oil is cheaper and less refined than 5w30 or 10w40. Isn't synthetic 5w30 oil better than and more protective than 15w40? I would like to have clarification on this matter. Thank you

I drive diesel trucks for a living and use to run old Detroit 2 stroke engines and ever time I changed oil I dumped the waste oil in the fuel tanks and burned it.

You say that the engine is in time, but you seem to be 180 degrees off on the camshaft. Which engine is this? ALH/1Z/AHU with older pump? But anyway the camshaft cylinder 1 lobes should be pointing upwards, like a V, or 10 to 2 on the clock. Check this picture. www.myturbodiesel.com/d2/images/a4/TB_head_rem/tdc2.jpg And that would also mean that you rotated the injection pump 180 degrees of, from what maybe seemed to be right. I just checked the video #19, and there you did seem to time the camshaft correct, so I don´t know when you became 180 degrees off, or am I missing something?

Yeah these workstation PCs can be a great deal. Even better if you visit your local E-scrap recycler. I used to buy them for $20 a pop from a recycler. eBay sellers know their value so they jack up the price but e-waste recyclers use them for their raw materials and sell the better chassis for slightly higher than scrap. I highly recommend checking it out. Also those Chinese x99 mobos are a great deal too, they use the 4th gen E5 xeons and you can get up to a 16 core cpu for less than $20. With CPU, ram and mobo you can get it for less than $100. My buddy built me out a pretty decent E5 tower for about $250 including a GTX970, 32gb ddr4, 128gb NVME, 2tb HDD, 550w PSU, case with RGB, Etc. In cinebench it clocks faster than a Ryzen 1700x and faster than a i7 6950 I believe, but I could be mistaken on that last one.
