Good question, well firstly just to clear it up incase there’s some confusion. I’ve named it the Long Lake for the purpose of the videos as stated at the intro to the first video. It’s not Long Lake itself, it’s just a long Lake 👍. I chose this lake for a Winter Campaign as I have a few Lakes that I’m a member and this one ticked the boxes for stock size and quantity for me, it’s also a lake that shows winters harsh reality’s (or as harsh as winter gets nowadays). No doubt I will have a good few blank sessions on here but will be putting every effort in to ensure that doesn’t happen by relocating swims when I need to. I will be doing bite size tips in each video for my Winter fishing, clothing, cooking, preparation etc but would consider doing a full video on it if the demand were there. The thing is that how I may do things will not necessarily be the way another angler would so they are only suggestions. Preparation wise, I don’t pre bait as I don’t have time, however if I have bait left over I like to pay the carp back with some free food. Yes it’s a lovely quiet little place. It’s rarely fished so stock is quite unknown but the fish I’ve caught have been in immaculate condition. Biggest I’ve caught so far is 19 and oz’s but I’ve not fished it much yet. I will be filming my sessions when I fish here so will keep you posted. There’s around 10 real old fish too. I can’t say where it is though, sorry.

@Carpjournals looks very qaint, would love to get some rods out into there, the unknown fish are the best ones lol hope to see some content from this little place 👍

Yeah it’s more exciting fishing for the unknown, never knowing what’s going to be on the end. I’ll definitely be putting more videos out from there but I’m fishing another little place next with similar mystery to it. Somewhere I’ve fished occasionally for the last 20 years or more. That will be the next video I post.

@Carpjournals Sure! Is there any common seasoning that goes well with them? What do you mainly use to descale them?

@ I don’t personally eat them, I return them. I’d rather eat a fish from the sea than a lake. If you google it I believe there are a few recipes on there. If you’re in the UK it’s not really accepted by most to eat Carp from fisheries and rivers though.

@Carpjournals from the first answer if you don't mind why is that? Are fishes there just tastier in general? , second didn't knew some part of the world considered it trash fish
