What was it about LP! That you didn't like

Love this record, but not as much as Nurture. Love that he’s being far more personal and vulnerable and cringe here as well lol. I feel like his biggest strength is that he really knows how to develop a track as it unfolds, adding in the perfect fills and changes to recurring melodies

I think Glorilla can make some bangers but her lack of rap skills is what puts me off same with Sexy Redd. I agree that Please don't cry isn't Rapsody's best album but is easily the best out of this bunch. She Got Game is probably still my favorite Rapsody project/album.

Eminem album is good from this year

You had me at Fund Crush, Agriculture, and Foxtails. Really enjoyed Foxtails’ “Fawn” a few years ago. I didn’t even realize they dropped something new. Jlin is pronounced “Jaylin”? I don’t even wanna say how I’d been pronouncing it 😂. Some of those lyrics on Bye-Bye make me cringe, “Hair Conditioner”. Sounded like we were gonna get a Ken Carson/Opium feature on that album. Huge Moor Mother fan ❤. Deluxe version of Bailout just dropped. Yes! That Tapir! Caught me by surprise. “Grassy Knoll” gets stuck in my head a lot. Great list! Got some new suggestions and loved your insight. You should check out Cavalier’s “Different Type Time”. He’s signed to Backwoods. It’s one of my rap albums of the year, but I don’t see many talking about it.

Remi Wolf is the only one I've listened to, but it's instantly become one of the best albums of the year. My friend described it as a deconstruction of indie music from the last decade, and I just love the lyrics.

ariana grandes new album sounds a little too much like a self help book or like a horoscope

Personally I think Ari's new album is her best one to date but I can understand why other people might not feel that way. The production isn't as quirky as something like sweetener and it doesn't have as many soaring anthems as her past albums but I think it's a lot more intimate and personal. Her writing has improved a lot and like, I obviously don't know her personally but she sounds so much more like herself than ever before. It makes some of the lingo and inflections on her past albums (especially TUN and positions) feel like a put on. Overall it's like an 8.5/10 for me, very excellent project and one of my favorites of the year.

That Beth Gibbons record was beautiful, one of my frontrunners for favourite of the year for sure Iglooghost snubbed :(((

I got heavy into Diiv in 2014 and a couple years after. Haven't listened to them since. Just the other day I wanted to test out my new earbuds and looked them up on TH-cam. Surprised to see a new album. In Amber is so good. Gonna listen to the rest.
