A very important lesson to remember, especially nowadays where the pace of everything moves so fast; nothing stays put for long. Documenting such fast movement, at times, requires slowing down; the opposite speed of that which moves so fast. Thanks for the reminder! We all get caught up in things that, in the end, don't matter as much as slowing down to take a breath to observe life itself; on its natural ebb and flow.

Sarah here, yeah so that is what I have been doing a great deal of lately, listening and many really need an ear. The parking lot behind you, the aging huge car, the blast of a horn, all that isolation in automobiles. One driver each. Does anyone travel with others any more? Yeah so we are mostly alone much of our days. Getting in groups, rare. I talk to my dogs. They respond.

Im new to painting,, but i showed some of my new paintings to an art dealer anyway (upon their invite), as i wanted to share the start of my painting journey. it was a big risk, as i knew only in tiny bits of the paintings could u see hints of my true potential... but Im so glad i did that. I feel it brought me on, and now i feel even more focused and confident

I knew your Uncle Jack (and Maggie) but was too young to appreciate how great an artist he was...I am an artist but was not working on anything at that time in my life...My Step-Father gifted me one of Jack's paintings and I treasure it (of course)...Thanks for keeping Jack's legacy alive by reflecting on his influence in your life...Great message (and encouragement) for today...Take care...

Yes, indeed: "Take pictures and the world will be a better place". Especially, if we do it in the kind of spirit you somehow encourage. Not an ego-driven taking. More like a giving of pictures, perhaps. Or giving back? I'm an art historian and have also been using digital cameras for years. But very recently, as in this week in early July 2024, I have suddenly felt the need to buy a Rolleiflex, 1951-1954 model, and go back to square 1. Very exciting prospect. I purchased the camera yesterday and will arrive from Finland.

This is so great. Like the application of paint, no palette, no mixing. no thinking where is my center of interest. Its a lot right? sometimes your head hurts. This approach takes all that away.
