Ohooo they were doing so well and then they gave us the most dismal, disappointing ending I have ever seen to a production of Turandot. She not only appeared to drop dead, but in the dark to boot. Oh how sad.

Ugly staging👎 but a great cast. Oropessa was magnificent. Sound and picture were not in sinc.

My favorite opera and Anna Netrebko is my favorite Lady Macbeth. I first saw this opera in Columbus, Ohio in 1987 starring Pablo Elvira, Giorgio Tozzi, and Marlyn Niska. It sticks in my head as the best night I ever spent at the opera. While I wish they would stage the classics in traditional staging, this opera lends itself fairly well to modernist settings, this is bad but less bad than some settings.

Thank you so much for posting as always. love the music but hates this production. I usually like to watch and listen to enjoy the opera. With this one, i can only listen even when i tried to have an open mind. It is just too much. Not sure if it is only me and i do not want to be too judgmental but I found European productions especially German like to experiment with contemporary or futuristic setting with a lot of disruption on tthe stage

Bernheim is a glory for us today; he has made me listen to current productions again. Oropressa, such a gift, but she had better get the lead out; her vibrato on sustained, high pitches is already wanting to rebel. So sad. This happened to Frittoli. Again, I do thank you for the privilege of hearing the magnificent Bernheim!!!

I always compromise in optics and voice. This is a very believable couple and I do enjoy the play as well! Ber heim is perfect for French opera, maybe he likes it the most!

Thank you Italia..i grew up as a child and teen in the Bucharest opera house,and when u was not dancing i was allways in the coulisses to hear and see ny other collwgues..this was and is still psrt of my life....and i miss it terrible herw where i live now....one more time THANKS ITALUA❤❤❤❤❤
